Finally, the review does not target 1% top end users. OLEDs are great but most of people buy LCD because of PRICE. Please give us more LCD reviews, they are really needed.

Also, OLED reviews are insanely boring. We already know that every OLED is going to be a chart topper just by nature of how they work. It's almost impossible to eff up an OLED purchase.

But if you want the best 1440p LCD right now, I'd go with the KTC M27T20, 576 zone backlight 180hz hdr 1000 it was on sale for $300 last week. There's also a Sceptre 240hz 24in 1080p monitor for $130 which is pretty insane.

@@VorexiaThe KTC G27P6. I have heard that outside of the US, this monitor is difficult to get your hands on, however. Mine arrived a few days ago, and with the new RTX HDR filter, it just makes every game look incredible. I managed to get mine from the KTC store on Amazon by glitching a coupon and then just removing the promo product from my cart but the coupon still applied. Your results may vary.

@skweezyguy1567 I can't blame them. Not only are they the current trend for new monitors and thus have a LOT of requests on videos for Tim's input, but most of the comments I see on videos mention nothing about "eww, another OLED that we already know the response rate and color accuracy".
Maybe it's a YT algorithm problem with showing positive comments significantly more than negative comments. Maybe people just didn't say anything until this video. Genuinely not sure where all these comments came from.

@moldyshishkabob Because most of us who can't deal with any burn in, or those who can't afford the OLED skip those videos. I tend to ignore the video if it has OLED in the title, as the vast majority of videos in the last year have. So if we don't watch the video, we don't get into it to leave a comment.

I'M happy to see IPS monitor reviews. Because most of PC users out there have a single monitor setup and they do everything on that PC : browsing the web, spreadsheets, view videos AND gaming. This is the most comon gaming setup out there. Therefore, OLED is out of the question because of burning issue AND a lack of text clarity. So thank you to FINALY consider that.

You need to do a video on the awful quality control that is plaguing the monitor industry. What's the point of watching reviews to select a product to buy only to find that almost every unit from every brand has backlight bleed and dead pixels and so do the units delivered as replacement after RMA headaches. Unless you spend $1300 on EIZO products you are playing lottery at every price point from $250-$600. This needs to stop.

i just got this monitor. a few days ago and first thing first its really awesome. Upgraded from a MSI mag 240hz ips and i wanted something that was as clear in motion and as colour accurate. The Asus its an upgrade for sure. Super clear in motion and no weird artifacts and maybe you lose a tiny bit of micro detail in really fast moving objects in games but who cares like i said its just a very tiny bit. Also, I'm in a dark room all the time with minimal sunlight/light and doesn't blind me to get the results I'm looking for and the blacks is also darker than my previous MSI that i mentioned earlier. it just does things so well for the minute Con. the stand! i love that its stand is also has a small footprint on my desk so there's less clutter. although, it would've been nice with a more powerful usb type c port so i can charge my phone with it quicker but still works just fine. Cant wait to get a ps5 so i can have that same experience with console gaming because that 120hz 1440p 5.7ms with no ghosting seems so nice, also just so nice knowing that it can achieve that even without it being a hdmi2.1. Thanks for the review I'm very happy with my new monitor! its ultra fast, the colours are accurate and vibrant, and takes up minimal desk space 🤠thought id write a long message about it for anyone wondering about it from a consumer POV, and appreciation for Monitors Unboxed sees it because the work is actually goated and to say to Monitors Unboxed and big thank you again. alright, I'm done glazing 🤣 ✌✌✌

Something I have to say and this is purely my opinion:
After reading countless reviews and hearing tons of appraising comments from all around the interwebs how they are at another level and seeing games is like looking at things through a window or whatever, I updated an average 27" 1440p IPS to a state of the art appraised 32" 4K OLED.
My experience in short: Is it better? Yes. Is the difference game changing? No.
What do I want people to know: You need to pixel clean EVERY DAY and it takes longer than you would imagine and does not always succeed so it can take longer. It is like having to clean your computer EVERY DAY or it gets permanently damaged.
Would I buy another 4K OLED if this one breaks down? Likely not, just some 4K with decent HDR, but I would also be quite happy with my old 27" 1440p 144-165Hz IPS with a decently low latency.
4K OLED 240Hz might be the best thing there is IQ wise, but using one is not careless and effortless like running a traditional monitor. You have to keep burn-in at the back of your mind all the time and you have to stop everything and stare at black screen and blinking logo for six minutes EVERY DAY at least once. Does not sound bad? Turn off your monitor, set a timer running, wait for six minutes until you are allowed to turn monitor back on...
Also while I admit image quality both at reading text and gaming is good, after hearing all the appraisal all over internet, I have to tone down your expectations. It is good, but IPS 1440p was already good. This is just somewhat better. If I had had a 4K IPS before, I am not sure how much difference I would experience.
But this is just my opinion. Peoples perception differs and some might feel very different about this.

Might be a niche, people who will pay a premium for good colors and response times, great brightness handling at speed (very low inverse ghosting, great variable overdrive that's set and forget)... While being skeptical of the latest trendy things like HDR or OLED, fancy USB functionality, etc.
I suspect the "old guard" who have been keeping their monitor forever want a lower price point and don't mind worse quality in some areas. Maybe they prefer the lower contrast ratios that used to be typical. It can reduce the sense of "eye candy" and tone down hyped art direction to be less distracting. But may consider buying something cheaper to get 1440p+ and/or 120FPS+.
But this seems extremely well-executed, and for people who care about the things this was optimized for, it seems like it will fit that niche like a glove. Putting serious competition to the likes of the LG 27GP850. Seems worthy of the price category and then some.

I got this monitor some days ago and have to say that the colors look realy good, also it can be very bright and the clarity in game is awsome. Yet there's a huge problem with it. It gives me and other users (check forums) eye strains, despite optimized and different settings. Also when it displays a white backround, e.g. during web browsing, it looks like there are stains in the white area. I have no clue why that is the case, but if those two problems wouldn't exist, I would have kept it, but those two issues are a no go for me. Will send it back.

      @blahorgaslisk7763 Місяць тому +6

I think that the single overdrive setting that works (decently) for all refresh rates is something you won't find on most cheap monitors. This is something I see as being well worth some money as games tend to vary in refresh rate by quite a lot. and yes, I want a decent display even if the refresh dives to 60Hz or even lower.
As far as other features, the color calibration is another nice part. I used to create advertisements for the company I worked at, and a color calibrated display made a lot of difference. I remember how amazed I was when I saw the colors on the first ad I made. It looked nothing like what I got on screen, and so I had to get a calibrator. Before I got that I reverted to using Pantone colors as then the printed colors would at least be what I intended.
So that's two good things about this. Well it's a IPS monitor so no problem with the viewing angle in the way you get with VA panels. So scratch all VA and the number of cheap gaming monitors dwindle. I guess that's three points, even if I understand that a lot of people would rather live with that to get the higher contrast ratio of a VA panel.
