i just bought this 2 weeks ago. my 1st gaming monitor. a really solid pair for my ps5. vrr and allm supported. 2k/120fps, peak gaming on a bang for buck.
How's the IPS glow/bleed on your unit?. Think ya can do a small recording on a dark room (black image or with a very dark game scenario) and then light up the room to see if it still has glow/bleed? I'm curious to replace my BenQ XL2420T (TN) to something better but having the IPS glow fear, welp... Ya know... Also not only a gamer but also an artist, so...
@@elpoderosopablo unfortunately, my hdmi 2.1 (from my ps5) is not capable of 1440/120hz. the ps5 can't run a test of 1440/120 hz so i opted for a 2.0 cable instead.
Thank you so much for showing us text on screen! Is the text sharpness due to RGB subpixel layout? I kinda need that in a monitor, rather than triangular or other layouts which can show blurry text. One more thing, if you please. For more money, would you please recommend a monitor to buy - that has all the pluses of this one - one that has all this as well as better contrast, HDR and less IPS glow? My priorities are gaming, for sure, but also watching TV and movies. Thank you very much for the terrific review; i learned a lot
I hope you see this. What do you think about using these for extended hours? How's the eye strain? I experience a lot of eye strain with my Gamdias setup, so I’m considering upgrading to this. What’s do you think?
You mention that HDMI cables are not included but a display port is. Is the HDMI still necessary? What would be better between using the display port or an hdmi?
i want to get it but some reviews are mentioning harsh grainy matte coating on the display. is the matte coating on this display good? is it a little grainy/fuzzy on white or light colors? a weird kind of "sheen" or "grain" on the whole screen that is mainly only visible on white or mostly white screens, like on UA-cam, or after opening a new tab. It's sort of hard to explain. It looks like there's a thin film of Vaseline on the screen, causing it to look smudgy. does it look like that for you? i do a lot of web design
I read two people mention this. In this video, however, the man shows us an example of what looked to me like clear text on a white background. If this will indeed be a 'glaring' issue, then what's the solution? If it's the coating, all we have is either matte or glossy, right. Are you guys getting used to this grimy screen thing? regardless of the smudgy background - can you still see words on screen well?
Hi. Can I charge the wireless mouse or connect a keyboard from the USB-C port? What is the "Nigh Vision" function? Is there a profile dedicated to reading documents to avoid eye strain?
I don't know. You literally sold me on that other Monitor like I already have a monitor arm. I don't care about USB Type C or brightness, and if it doesn't support 10-bit color, who cares about more color accuracy?
This monitor or the MSI MAG274qrf qd e2 or MSI MAG274qpf e2?? these 3 are my options.. so far, i read many issues on this ROG monitor, on the other hand i cannot find indepth review on MAG274qrf qd e2 that i can watch..
4 reviews mentioned higher than 1100:1 contrast ratio and 4 other reviews including yours mentioend 850:1-750:1 contrast ratio. why? and is the difference massive or noticeable?
It could be because not all of them are same, even the color accuracy is up to the question since there are brands that will tell you very different things to what you actually get, that is why reviewers have color calibration tool, it is same with brightness and it can be different due to panel or calibration device.
The Viewsonic VX2728J-2K 27 is only 250 nits and has lower color accuracy. Not to mention, it lacks ELMB-Sync and USB Type C port. So I'll definitely go with the ROG XG27ACS

I don't usually comment pero I want people to be aware. I also have the same issue (plus nag rarandom off and on pa siya on top of the flickering lines), but for some reason, after heavy usage for 3 months nawala na yung on and off and once every 2 - 3 days nalang may lumalabas na line at pa isa isa nalang then another 2 - 3 days ulit unlike before na every few minutes or even seconds yun lumalabas, medyo relieved na ako na nag okay siya over time kasi may kamahalan din yung monitor and dapat mas maganda QC nila. :(
Wait. You wish this monitor had a more refined IPS glow.........which can affect how movies look? Is that just in reference to watching HDR movies? I'm hoping this monitor will display 1080P movies okay. I'm hoping my 4080 super can help with that. Sorry, this is my first time hearing about IPS glow - i've only ever had small 1080p TN panels. I wouldn't like that "jarring" sensation you mentioned :)
I just wish that the IPS glow is a bit lower than it is, and that the panel could have been darker on dark scenes. Notice that on black background, you still see a bit of faint white glow around the edges
8 bits no FRC. From the reviews it still manages to get good colors, I bought MSI QD E2 and it was very nice for the price but it had 2 stuck pixels and now there is absolutely no offers of it here, it is cheaper and has better brightness, more minimalist look and better color range so think about it.
Base sa specs, magandang option din. Pero nasa 20k. Ang closer is yung G274QPF E2 which has a 15W USB Type C port, good option din. Meron din mga similarly specced kay Gigabyte. I guess ang meta now sa budget side is 27" 1440p 180hz 1ms tapos may USB Type C port, nagkakaiba nalang sa power delivery and number of HDMI ports, brightness and of course, sa price. Not to mention sa support bar and base
totaly crap. I had it next to a gigabyte M27QA. The contrast is very low. Also very strong backlight bleeding and clouding. The colortemperature at default 6500k was way to warm/yellowish. And the edges are way dimmer then the mid. But the edges of the gigabyte were even more dimm. It lookes like a vignette effect. Slighty changing angle of view and it got even more dimm and colors changed. My 2010 24 Inch VA Panel is not that correct in color but no dimm edges or bad viewing angle.
Hey techbroll i want your advise about two choices this monitor or the VG27AQL3A because i have them at the same price please lead me to the correct monitor 🤍
