I So LOve all the old photographs of your family. Such a great and simplier time you all grew up in, so great that you kept that lifestyle and always remembered where you all came from and didn't let " Society" get to you all. God bless..
Always enjoy your trips down memory lane, it brings back long ago times that I once had locked up in alittle box in my head. I only have me and 3 kids leavt here on this ol earth and I miss so many so much, but your trips help me take my trips and that always makes me smile.
Thanks for sharing all your memories of yourself and your family Walter . NICE simple and fun times back then .I never get tired of your photos, of the years gone by .Uncle Ken and the gang seemed to enjoy each other .Everyone always smiling, which means FUN TIMES LOL.😂
@@joschmid1492 You're welcome, Jo. They were simple, and we did truly enjoy most of it. We did enjoy time with each other, and looked forward to your weekends when we could go traipsing around.
great images showing the little moments trapped in your images! bits and pieces of time trapped to remember the good times and the times together! thanks for sharing a part of your growing up.
I always enjoy seeing the special times in your lives and the fun and togetherness. Precious days often taken for granted. It is heartwarming to reflect on and yet sad to know that it went by so quickly and how fast the world changes. A sweet little Robbie especially in the window. It all tugs at my heart. Thank you for sharing your life and times, Walter. ❣👍👍❣
Thank you, Sondra! I am glad about that. Yes. We had years of those weekends, and I am so thankful! Yeah. In Little George's later years he was trying to get us to go down a dirt road again, but we just could not arrange it. Hard to believe Robert was that young! You're welcome, Sondra, and thank you for watching.
I really do love the feeling of these. I always find myself on the verge of tears but not because they are unhappy. I think I'm jealous because there is so much about them that is familiar to how it was down in Mauk and Waverly Hall with my family growing up, but we don't have the photos. My dad was the one always with the camera and there were boxes and boxes of slides in our attic in the house I grew up. But, sadly, back then I never cared and then later, after I was in Seattle, my parents moved out of my childhood home. I had started to get interested in photography and asked about the boxes of slides. My dad said they left them all behind in the attic. No one had looked at them in years so they didn't seem important at that point. I have so regretted that I didn't recognize what was there when I had the chance. It is absolutely a treasure that you documented things so thoroughly. I find it inspiring that you put together these UA-cam videos to share your work and family history. I don't think you'll ever regret it. Thanks for sharing as always!
@@joyfisher2128 Thank you, Joy! Yes. I was shooting everything for years. Early on I realized I was capturing historical family moments. I am surely sorry for your loss of all of those slides and photographs. I have lost a lot of mine to humidity. But still have so much more than I lost.
Thank you, Pamela! Yes. It's hard to believe that so much time has passed since the events in those photographs; and that they actually happened. That we spent so much time together. It was beautiful! You're welcome!
What a sweet video, Mr Walter it even brought back memories to my times growing up and being out in the country and walking the roads and exploring old houses and finding the occasional blackberry bushes...sweet memories. Thank you :)
Your photos are spectacular and your videos are all classics in my humble opinion. I'll never get tired of this . Keep them coming Walter. Little George seems like such a good young man. @@buckshots4800 Thank you so much! I appreciate that! So long as I can, I plan to keep doing them. Little George really was so kind hearted. I just pretend that he is still living some distance from us as he was for some years before we lost him.
Great Video Walter. I loved all the captions you added. I missed alot of the pictures so I will go back and watch it again now that I read them all. I guess Uncle Ken was the big brother to you guys and took you all on many adventures. We used to do that but I don't have photos of it. The old, rusted school desk was almost sad looking. It served it's purpose for years seating lots of rowdy kids, but not anymore. Love the old school and the gang. So good that you have photos to show history. The Byans.......How great. Ken's old truck was a treasure. How is Uncle Ken doing?
Yes. I thought so too at the sight of that old desk. I have photographs somewhere of Ken, Brian, Little George, and me at the brick part of the school. I could not find them while putting this video together. I am thankful for photographing so much over the years. Ha! Ha! Yes! The Bynes! It was hilarious that day that it sure seemed that Little George was calling all of us Byne! We miss Ken's old truck! Ken is doing well. I just mentioned in a comment that I usually speak with Ken about twice a week.
So nice seeing Lil George all growed up. How is Uncle Ken doing? Haven't seen any current videos. I hope he's in good health and is happy. Lord knows he's had his trials. Fun photo's, but like they say, you can't go home anymore. Good to have the memories in print to enjoy. ❤💙🧡💜
Yes. He was quite the character all the way. Ken is doing well. I still speak with him a couple of times a week on the phone. I want to get back with Ken and shoot us out traipsing around. It just does not work out. I have to borrow Brian's car for that. Yes, Ken has definitely had some rough times. I am so thankful for the photographs and audio tapes of us.
Hi Walter must be the mood I’m in tonight Seeing little George knowing now what happened. Cute little Robert and interesting Brian always. I’m sad with tears cuz we were all so innocent back then. We didn’t know any further we just knew today and we were happy. Thank u as always for these wonderful memories Walter. Tell Uncle Ken he is always in our hearts❤❤
I'll tell Ken, Lynda. Yes, you are so right. We were just there, doing our thing. One interesting thing, is that forever for the future, Little George spoke messages to whomever would be listening to the 'Ken Tapes'. He and Brian. Usually it was something hysterically vile. "Yeah, this is George Green, and whoever is listening to this in the future is..." Both he and Brian would together, and separately sneak my tape recorder while it was recording us, and say something vile to 'whoever is listening to this in the future'. Hilariously one of their victims was 12 year old Robert. "HEY!" I send your love to Ken.
Well Walter you have done it to me again. The yearning for a time long ago and a seemingly simpler and less rushed time fills me. I have been enjoying Brian’s videos as well. I have often wondered about the age difference between you.
@@alanmoberly64 Thank you, Alan. I am glad that these videos mean something to you. For me it is the same with the 'Ken Tapes'. It was simply our usual weekend life. And now those tapes are vintage! Brian is ten years younger than me.
I know what you mean. When you are living life in the moment is just another day. It’s not until you get older and look backwards that you realize all the “just another day” we’re adding up to being something special. You managed to capture that and now you are able to share it.
