I was blown away at how much I stopped wrecking it after I disabled all the hud elements. I recommend you give it a go. You really don't have to focus that hard to the pace note audio as you imagine you would have to, and the splits / delta just messes with your psyche. Just trust, give it a few days. Start on your best tracks c:
Mate, I've just started playing WRC with a CSL DD with shifter/handbrake also, you make this look easy, but it definitely isn't easy, the frustration is real with this game on a sim 😂 props to you 👏
@@Wadenat0r how are you finding it? I think I currently use the normal calls, Its actually a bit annoying because some tracks where you are so fast like the second one I did would benefit from using earliest, but on slower tracks the earliest calls are way too early! So for me, leaving it as normal works best. The more you play the better and more consistent you will get!
From my experience playing Dirt Rally 2.0, it seems modern rally cars are a bit more user friendly compared to Group B monsters. Modern WRC cars have way better suspension so its just glides over bumps, have better traction and stability while Group B cars have that raw speed and power but less overall stability.
100% this. The group B is insanely fast but on corners I had to brake harder and could not push the car as much. The modern car I was able to take some corners flat out that I had to brake and let off in the group B
yeah, i drive the group b cars alot in dirt rally 2 and you definitely have to pull that handbrake alot to get the car to turn in to a corner aswell as braking with the normal pedal. you do feel every little bump aswell, setting the car off course. usually into a tree.
yep, even more when it comes to jumpy roads, the lancia delta was fucked up as hell cause the car was really fragile because they cut as much weight as they possibly could, sometimes it coulndt even run the next event due to repairs from last one, although in game it might not be just as scary as in real life but driving that thing in really bumpy tracks is a nightmare
wish i knew how to drive like this. I have 78 hours on EA WRC and 104 on dirt rally, and yet still manage to fuck up so much. impressive driving :)
@@Otefnmjn it isn’t easy, plenty of mistakes but the one good run is always worth it

@ splits definitely fuck me up more than I’d like to admit lol, thank you very much for the advice
@@KekuemsYou are totally right, always top3 on eawrc online. No hud is the best way to focus

Also, do you use the "earliest" calls?

@MrShortstint I don't get too much time to play, but I love it, it's way more challenging than ACC etc, I agree with you on the calls 💪

@@MrShortstint Yes, brakes also is a huge factor here.

@CY8ts 😆 that's so true about wrapping it around the tree, for me it usually happens after just dipping one wheel outside the road.

Never liked this quote its very out of touch.
This is the same guy who drove only a handful of races for Lancia because he was scared of the car?
