I agree with everything you said. I don’t understand how they don’t show the total entries to the leaderboard in game. Whoever picked the soundtrack needs a raise. Do you have your own club? I would join!

@@Finns_in_Simland the driving feels good and responsive for my taste must i say, the stages have more life in them than in ea wrc. The only minus is it has less stages and less tracks.
I really like the game. My main dislike is weight transfer and tarmac grip. It feels glued to the road. In WRC Generations I could more easily weight transfer and slide through a corner. Handbrake use in EA feels underwhelming to me vs Generations. Great video, liked and subbed.
Thanks! 🤩 I’ve never played generations so can’t speak to it but I do like how the handbrake feels (on gravel). Yeah the grip feels weird on tarmac. Granted, I’ve never driven a rally car on tarmac so no idea how it feels in real life but RBR feels more natural to me. 🤔
I recently got into dirt rally racing about 2 months ago, I'm not a car guy so all of it is extremely new, like I don't even know how to tune cars or understand what it all does, but I do see that perhaps WRC was for a different audience. For example, ME. I played Dirt Rally 2.0 and I really like that one for it's simpler team season mode or whatever it's called. I have played RBR and I don't know what happened to my install but the cars felt really light and every surface felt slippery and every track felt the same. I liked RBR the most but it had too much going on and not a lot of options for randomized offline rallies. WRC I bought and played for the most frivolous and sentimental reason, to drive a Mitsubishi Galant because my dad owned one when I was a kid. So I've grown to like WRC a lot and like it a lot. I'm struggling through the career mode and....I'm not sure if I want to continue with it or not.....we'll see.... I definitely see what complaints people have about the career mode though, it's too many menus and weird choices around events.
Yeah the career mode wasn’t for me. I’ve tried it a couple of times but like you said too many menus and weird choices. It took me several months before I even tried it. I was happy doing time trials and quick play rallies against ai to learn to drive first before even looking into the season mode. And I consider that a good thing since if I would have bought the game to drive the career I think would’ve been sorely disappointed. 🤔
There is some pretty good, sort of neutral insight in there that this game needs. It was bashed so much before. Some of it was well deserved, some overexaggerating things. I don't know if you've tried BeamNG that almost completely misses any race framework but the physics are insane or Seb Loeb Rally EVO that became an underdog despite that it overperformed DiRT Rally here and there but it would be interesting to see your opinion about the driving experience there.
Yeah it got some harsh reviews (especially) in the beginning and some of it I did not really understand. For me it has always been fun and I’ve enjoyed my time with it a lot. Of course there is still a lot to improve but still. Regarding BeamNG: I do have it and did plan to try it with some rally mods but I couldn’t get the mods to work. ☹️ For some reason they just never showed up in game. 🤷🏼♂️ I had never even heard of Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO before! I’ll add it to my list of games that I want to try (if it still available for purchase). Edit: The game seems to be still available for purchase so I’ll give it a go in the coming weeks! Edit 2: Perfect timing. It was -90% on Steam now due to the autumn sale.👌🏻
@@Finns_in_SimlandSure thing mate. Seb Loeb full version is on sale @Steam around 3 Euro or so. I think the long Loeb interview included alone is sort of worth it already and there is also a complete sim attached. Life is good. I hope it will work fine with your rig and you will like it. Unfortunately it misses the player base and hype but the single-player experience is worth it. I'm curious about your opinion.
@@Finns_in_Simland On EA-WRC hate, I think the great majority of people like drama more than actually doing something / trying new things. It is true that there used to be some deal breaking issues, thanks to the fact that it was sold as a complete product in a public beta state. It is not a new thing, game devs do that as it is financially a sustainable release / deadline / patching up plan like CP2077 or NMS as good examples. Some games lose the financial backing on the way and fail but most make it with a long patching plan. I think that is the root of the low morale about this game. I spoke about it in depth in a video and also my friend Chris as an ex game dev talked about it, calling it "stealth open beta" in the case of No Man's Sky. Well, we were called names of course but that's the truth :D Devs finish games months, maybe years after the release day due to financial and sustainability reasons that is a result of general market and consumer behavior. That is cause and effect, and not the stupid "evil devs make poor gamers suffer" thing that everyone with zero scope is raging about. People hate to be called stupid and they just won't accept the fact that the root of most of their problems is brainlessly spending their money :)
@@Finns_in_Simland Yep, BeamNG + mods, well they managed to completely break the game to me so I don't use them anymore. I play the vanilla version only. No rally mods but I also love hillclimb style racing and the time attack stages feel like that so I do it just for fun, trying to beat my own times using different cars, enjoying the physics. It is sad that this sim doesn't take itself more seriously in the race department but it is what it is, I guess. They make a living of being the prime vehicle crash sim. Sorry to everyone but the way people use it is sort of retarded, for me feels like employing a highly talented scientist as a clown. A waste of talent.
I’ll make a video of SL rally if works on my rig for sure. The state of the majority of games in what they are launched is sad. But I do get why it happens while I don’t like it. It is what it is and I’ve learned to lower my expectations of (new) games. Maybe I’ll give BeamNG another shot one of these days but I’d most certainly like to try to rally mods as well. We’ll see when I have time to fight with the game again. 😅
While they are fun to drive they don’t really make me feel like I’m driving in Finland; the scenery isn’t quite what I’d expect to see in Finland and I’d like to see bigger ditches next to the road that are quite prominent in Finland to make the rally feel more dangerous. But it is probably in the top five rallies in this game for me. 😊
No idea about that. Haven’t heard anything about bonus tracks. Maybe they were referring some extra Moments in the game since some are behind a paywall
I think EA WRC is good kinda... I have played every WRC game all the way to the PS2 (yes with a wheel) however WRC 6 is the only one I truly enjoy besides EA WRC...but I have to be that guy and simply say DR2 is still my favorite but the best game is the one you have the most fun with 🤘🤓🤘 Nerdcore Hardcore
Agree with you in every point. 👍 Upgradet too for this Game. Hope for more to come. From you and Codemasters.✌️

isn't it mental how the rain looks at 3:00? Dirt2 really pioneered weather conditions in a realistic fashion which WRC never quite got
What do you mean. It’s perfect. I can’t tell the difference between the game and real life 😂😂
Good video mate
Thanks! 🙏🏻

Wrc generations or Ea wrc???Who Is the best?
I’ve yet to try generations. 🥶
@Finns_in_Simland Understood. because I have generations and I don't know if it's worth buying EA WRC thanks anyway :)
what's your thoughts on Finland tracks in the game?
While they are fun to drive they don’t really make me feel like I’m driving in Finland; the scenery isn’t quite what I’d expect to see in Finland and I’d like to see bigger ditches next to the road that are quite prominent in Finland to make the rally feel more dangerous.

How do you find the ea bonus tracks???
Bonus tracks? 🤔
@Finns_in_Simland if you with ea i heard they give you bonus tracks
Some you tuber said if you're an ea member you meant to get bonus tracks
No idea about that. Haven’t heard anything about bonus tracks. Maybe they were referring some extra Moments in the game since some are behind a paywall
I drive in the rain and wipers dont work not that i ever needed them water doesn't even hit the windscreen
They work for me but since the rain effect is almost unnoticeable on the windscreen it doesn’t matter that much.
I think it's not to bad a game they just need to patch up a few basics of the game and go from there
Yeah it is not. I really like it.

Each to its own! 😊 It’s good we have several options to choose from
play in VR, i dont have this game but the racing games i play got much more intense when i play in VR
VR wasn’t really for me. I prefer monitor over VR due to its ease of use.
Great comment about the career mode and not being able to drive for a week while you hire or rest team members. It's irritating.
Thank you! It just rubs me the wrong way and makes zero sense. 😅
