I've seen a lot of bands live, but Slayer still takes it as best concert experience ever. The energy of their fans is unlike any other venue and their pyrotechnics are always wicked. God I wish I could see them again 🤘

i waited 22 years before i finally got to see slayer live (there were no big metal bands coming to south africa)..... man i was so stoked when that day finally arrived

I'm so sad that Slayer is soon to be no more. Long live one of the very best things Metal has ever offered.

I've adored Slayer for maybe 12 years or more, so let's just say that I'm mourning. It also hurt like hell when Hanneman died, who wrote maybe 50 % of all material (many of the best songs by himself, such as "Angel Of Death).
Sorry to break it to you, but Slayer died with Jeff. A band with Kerry and Tom only IS NOT SSSSSLLLLLAAAAAAYYYYAAAAAAAHH! (No disrespect to Holt, who is thrash's second best guitarist after Jeff!!) But Slayer's music stopped changing the world after South of Heaven (and that is really one album too far!!!)

Dave is such an enormous part of Slayer...to not have him in the band feels like I’m not hearing the real Slayer, especially since the albums without him are so weak

Joice Davis Paul is good. But nowhere near as good as Dave. You can listen to their newest live shows, Paul hardly keeps up nowadays.

I’ve seen Slayer several times with both Dave and Paul. They both kick ass in their own styles. Paul’s albums aren’t weak at all, god hates us all is one of my favorites

Sure they went back to thrashy style. But it's awfully composed. Hardwired feels like the end of Metallica to me. It's like riffs after riffs without any sense of composing. There's no construction. No spirit. It really feels like they're absolutely not into metal music anymore and they just did this album because it's their job and nothing else.
In comparison, listen to Overkill's last album.

Back in the 80s when I was a teen I learned about them thanks to paper magazines and all that kind of shit old guys know. I used to listen to AC/DC, Iron Maiden or Metallica but Slayer had such a powerful aura in Europe at that time, "Reign in Blood" was like the forbidden fruit - really dark aura- and I still remember the very first time I listened to "Angel of Death". Nothing can describe it. And 2 years later I bought "Seasons..." I was shaking so hard! Dave, Jeff, Tom, Kerry thank you so much

St Anger isn’t just the worst Metallica album, it’s perhaps the worst album from a popular metal band...Diabolus In Musica is pretty bad but at least Slayer never went all soft and did a song like “nothing else matters”...not a terrible song but it is insulting to consider that metal from a band called Metallica...they literally have the word “metal” in their name

I saw the Big 4 in Indio. I'd say 3/4 of the crowd left after Slayer. It was deserted for Mettalica. It was pretty unbelievable.

The Jeff passing was huge to slayer future, though age takes its toll too, they're tired and they wanna enjoy their time with family. Slayer's time just came and it's not a bad thing, except for those who never saw them live 'cause they're monsters playing live.
They still sound great though, I'm not ready for them to retire!!!

Repentless was my first slayer song and album and it’s what got me into all of slayer including the most hated diabolus in musica album and I’m really obsessed with slayer and know all 140 of their songs and I memorized all the songs in like 8 of their albums I also can’t wait to go to their concert in May 10th to San Diego California

I like Tom’s philosophy on Evil and Religion. I totally parallel his views. We all have a little evil in us and most of us have more good than evil. Some of us are balanced and some are Not, those are the ones that we have to watch out for.
I didn't get into Slayer until the 2000s but it was great cause I had all these albums to listen too. I didn't have to wait years for the newest Slayer.
