Slayer is the reason I got into metal about 5 years ago. I'm in India and will graduate college in an year and have always dreamed of seeing Slayer live after graduation because it just isn't possible before that. Incredibly sad it will never happen. Their legacy will never die, though. FUCKING SLAYEEEERRRRR
Sad, should've had interviewed Dave. He is one of the most influential metal drummers of all time hands down. Definitely forged his style into slayers sound.
He (Dave L.) felt that he was being underpaid for European tour that was making millions supposedly for their record label. From what i heard, when he asked Kerry about it Kerry basically said to stop asking about $$ or find a new job. Lombardo has been with Suicidal Tendencies (and a few other side bands) ever sinse.
Thank you, Slayer (& Exodus & Forbidden) for all the great music over the years. Saw you guys in Cleveland (Diabolus in Musica tour) and met Tom and Jeff backstage. Great guys! Made me feel welcomed and really appreciated as a fan. Tom had a great sense of humor. He signed my poster without even having to ask. Been a fan since Show No Mercy. You guys are great!
Still cannot believe it’s actually coming down to the finale of the worlds greatest metal band. They will always be the best and have set a precedence and a level I don’t think any other band will get to. Slayer for life!!
I cant get over the fact that these dudes are realy sympathic and mellow. Especially tom, something about his voice. He sounds like a realy nice person, like a loving grandad that reads stories to his grandkid on his knees:)
My life was changed one night laying in bed, I was 12 and stayed up to listen to the midnight metal show on the local rock station (Metal Shop on Rock 100.5 The KATT in OKC) Rain n blood came on and I have been screaming SLAYER!!! ever since.
I love Slayer and IMO Season's in the Abyss (1990) is their best album. Reign in blood (1986) is their signature album & fastest. South of heaven (1988) is the opposite of reign in blood. Hell Awaits (1984) is good. Show no mercy (1983) is their debut album. Decade of aggression is a great live version slayer has..
Slipknot has or had the biggest sound & was the loudest band when they first came out. Slipknot's debut album and IOWA are before they went mainstream. Joey Jordison has got to be one of the best drummers I've seen. Dave Lombardo from Slayer is great too.

Saw Slayer open for Wasp at the Tower in Philly back in 1986 or so and It was Way fuckin different then my previous concert experiences with Ozzy, Crue, Sabbath/ After the set Dave jumped in the audience and on top of me and when leaving I noticed the first 4 rows of seat backs were flat and all fucked up. Went out and got the Reign cassette with the whole album on each side. The Best to this day. Epic fuckin band. Not one bad Album. SLAYER!!! 666

Kurt Cobain was cool tho. He surpassed Elvis Presley in the world record of some music establishment... He created the "alternative" genre that began in the early 90's
I didn't care for the alternative style to much but Nirvana & the grunge style I liked. Alice n chains, Stone temple piolets, were good. Green day and the smashing pumpkins I never liked. But that's just my opinion. Deicide & Glen Benton were insane with Amon- feasting the beast when they rised out of the swamps like a leviathan in Tampa, Florida 1990.
Die hard fan, even tattooed the logo with the date on it on 6/6/6 two blocks from temple square in salt lake city, only wore slayer shirts exclusively for 3 years. I'm asking from man to band that you guys give us one last studio album, all of the material king has on reserve, both Paul and Dave cut tracks as well as guest solos from guitarists that were influenced by slayer, make it a going away album that wraps it all up in one Badass celebration album. Just some ideas but I have tears in my eyes right now in hopes that there will be one more studio album. See you guys Aug 16 in Oklahoma where I'll be taking my gf to her first metal concert ever! May SLAYER be with us all forever in our hearts souls and daily life. I have a saying I've told my friends for years, "Don't become a Slayer song" that's one way Slayer has positively influenced my life.
Tom Araya, how are you man? I was a cab driver in Denver, we went to a couple of bars, smoked a couple of doobs, you were a pretty cool dude. I don't know if you remember me, but you rock man!

This odd little moment showed he was human, and I always remembered it. Slayer was life yeah, but also, it's just lyrics, dudes. A truly great band.
I have the same shirt Jeff Hanneman is wearing at 00:31 the concert was DIO / YNGWIE MALMSTEEN'S RISING FORCE in Spokane, WA @ the Coliseum December 30, 1985. Great show. \m/

"Dave came up to me"
Hey you know what would be great, DAVE BEING INTERVIEWED FOR THIS!
Probably he refused
Dave's not home man....
Dave was underpaid during the God hates us all tour and still spit about it ... I don't blame him either.
Im sure he turned it down
Dave probably went "nah"...
Got my eardrums blown off right from 0:00 thanks :D
Hahahahaha mine too

Sad, should've had interviewed Dave. He is one of the most influential metal drummers of all time hands down. Definitely forged his style into slayers sound.
At least he mentioned Dave :(
Leo but not to be interviewed is not right

Slayer is retiring because Tom has achieved Wizard status with that beard. He's gotta go do some studying.
Well earth has wizards now
Maybe he is an avenger
Tom has a Santa vibe goin
Tom is so precious. He’s a wizard grandpappy troll doll

why ignore dave lombardo? hes a big part of your sound even if he have undealt business with you. just figure things out ffs
Agreed. If it's the end, at least make it awesome.
Nah, I can't see it, not how they roll. He was huge though so that's unfortunate.
Maybe due to Lombardo ignoring them instead?
CC S he is in Suicidal Tenthisies now
Not to mention he's on tour with Dead Cross
Hell awaits, for all the fans we will not see Slayer live. :(

Unfortunately It will not happen, they cannot forgive him leaving the band in 1986 and 1991 - for Dave his priority was and will ALWAYS be his family.

Welcome back
Existing on damnation's edge
The priest had never known
To witness such a violent show
Of power overthrown
Angels fighting aimlessly
Still dying by the sword
Our legions killing all in sight
To get the one called Lord
The Gates of Hell are waiting as you see
There's no price to pay just follow me
I can take your lost soul from the grave
Jesus knows your soul can not be saved
Crucify the so called Lord
He soon shall fall to me
Your souls are damned your God has fell
To slave for me eternally
Hell awaits...
The Reaper guard's the darkened Gates
That Satan calls his home
Demons feed the furnace where
The Dead are free to roam
Lonely children of the night
There's seven ways to go
Each leading to the burning hole
The Lucifer controls
Priests of heavy Hades seek the sacred star
Satan sees the answer lies not far
Zombies screaming souls cry out to you
Satanic laws prevail your life is through
Pray to the moon... when it is round
Death with you shall then abound
What you seek... for can't be found
In sea or sky or underground
[Jeff Hanneman guitar lead]
Now I have you deep inside my everlasting grasp
The seven bloody Gates of Hell
Is where you'll live your last
Warriors from Hell's Domain
Will bring you to your Death
The flames of Hades burning strong
Your soul shall never rest
The Gates of Hell are waiting as you see
There's no price to pay just follow me
I can take your lost soul from the grave
Jesus knows your soul can not be saved
Sacrifice the lives of all I know they
Soon shall die
Their souls are damned to rot in Hell
and keep the fire growing deep inside
Hell awaits...
[Kerry King guitar lead]

well kerry said in a interview that there is leftovers from repentless so they'll probably release some ep
