"JEFF RICHMAN SHOW SECOND SET" Baked Potato on Sunset early 2000's Vinnie Colaiuta drums Jeff Richman guitars Abe Laboriel Sr bass Steve Tavaglione woodwinds
LOVE how Vinnie KNOWS drummers are all watching like hawks and then...BOOOM! You see that?! Jim Keltner once said that he and Jeff Porcaro would be ringside (hi-hat side) and just gasp and giggle at his prowness and speed. This is an amazing example of VC genius! ..just another day at the office..AMAZING
Vinnie yelling about Abe's bass solo kicking ass while playing quadruple flamatuplets with his feet without even noticing what he is doing only Vinnie!
Holy shit!! I went to see Sting in the fall of 1991 on The Soul Cages tour. I knew that Manu Katche had played drums on the studio album and that Vinnie had received credit for additional drums or something like that, so I didn't know who the drummer was going to be for the show. Much to my pleasant surprise, Vinnie Colaiuta was there and blew my mind all night long!! Birmingham, AL!!!
Seeing him play with Herbie Hancock at the ryman in Nashville was mind blowing. His approach is not only creative and technically innovative, but very athletic/powerful. He's the best imo
im sorry eric moore. vinnie's singles in this recording are the best ive ever heard. this is stanky old fish level of disgusting... in the best way. so nasty
This is what happens when one of the best drummers on the planet has a good day.
9:20 Vinni start to play "Im Tweaked" XD
Vinnie is the reason why i play the most Wonderful instrument on planet.
Imagine having this kind of ability behind the kit, and the ability to express pretty much what ever you want... amazing vinnie
I’m able to do that...well until I wake up 😂😂.
Man.... I'm always blown away by Vinnie. Always... Love Abe Laboriel Sr, Jeff and Steve too! Great track
PURE JOY!!!! I love Vinnies cat calls during Abe's solo!!! ,,,this really is the BEST!!!!
For all his immensely explosive, groundbreaking chops around the drums, he has one HELL of a groove! Naaasty!!! 😎

Can someone tell me if this fill is 32nd note triplets: 3:06
I think its (mostly) straight 32nd-note paradiddle variations starting on the 'and' of 3 and resolving on the end of the following bar.
6:28
John Scofield ?
Yes, it's a Scofield tune.
1:33 ......
