I think the major factor contributing to their problems in how they are perceived is how poor their communication style is. Besides drawing out everything endlessly, the first thing they need to learn is how to behave in a conversation: Interrupting others less, listening to them and believing that what they said is actually what they mean would, at least for Lav, reduce the backlash by 50%. Despite the negative feedback, they never learn how unintentionally disrespectful they are. There aren't many things worse in a conversation than being interrupted in the middle of every sentence and after finally making a point, the conversation partner feels the need to reinterpret everything you said in extreme and uncharitable ways or plays word games.
Hate how defensive they can be. Lav is so on the edge that she can barely get past the first sentence before cutting the person off and commenting about either how it's wrong or it's her strength. I'm fine with listening to conversations they have about different concepts because it can be somewhat interesting, but this drama is just absolutely brainrotting.
Idk who Lav is, but if her worst error is changing her mind & being non-committal about her options, I hope everyone knows that those behaviors are common in women due to patriarchal pressures & norms. Max: all this started because pixie asked me what I thought. What actually happened is pixie came on to tell Stephen what SHE thought was bad and unhealthy with max. Max then said very aggressively, ask me that don't just talk in front of me. He put emotional and social pressure on pixie to do something she didn't come on to do. That's fine to do that pixie could have ignored him if she wanted and kept speaking to Stephen rudely in front of him. It would have been socially difficult for her to do because of how rude it is. But possible. Max didn't literally force her but he came close. However its fine because its not literal forcing. But later he reframes what happened as pixie came on specifically to speak to max. Which is why its so important to hear what max thinks. But that wasn't it. Pixie should have been allowed to giv eher thoughts but max derailed and made it about him and then rewrote history so what he wants (him talking) was always what pixie wanted. This is such a good example of the light gaslighting max employs. He could understand why pixie would want to interrupt him if they all acknowledge she came to give her thoughts not listen to max

I think the primary skill of these streamers is taking what would normally be a 5 minute conversation and dragging it out into hours and hours of discussion. Someone will randomly say, "I've been feeling tired lately." And another person will say, "Well you've been talking to me a lot recently, are you saying my conversations tire you out? Is it because I'm intellectually stimulating or because I'm emotionally draining." And boom you have 2 more hours of a clip to post online. As someone more new to Destiny as a streamer and his views, I truly believe him to be one of the most grounded individuals on the internet. The stance that MrGirl aka Max takes on Destiny as a fellow content creator and friend is absolutely absurd. I would personally never ever ask a good friend of mine to bend the rules for what he thinks is right, just because I "feel" discredited by how he treats me. In an intellectual conversation about some very broad subjects I don't think expecting someone to meet your every bias and goal for how you "want them" to view you or show you as, should be met. I think its perfectly normal to have disagreements and to have differences. I also think its extremely manipulative to "expect" that someone treats you with a higher standard emotionally in a professional environment. Both the emotional and professional experience you have with someone can be different regardless of if they are your "friend" or not. My biggest issue with Mr.Girl and with Lav currently is that its not a matter of Destiny not reciprocating their feelings during a debate, its the fact that they quite "literally" expect him to be like the "big brother" and to shield them from criticism or conflicts of opinion with other people debating them in the call.

I think the major factor contributing to their problems in how they are perceived is how poor their communication style is. Besides drawing out everything endlessly, the first thing they need to learn is how to behave in a conversation: Interrupting others less, listening to them and believing that what they said is actually what they mean would, at least for Lav, reduce the backlash by 50%. Max: all this started because pixie asked me what I thought.
What actually happened is pixie came on to tell Stephen what SHE thought was bad and unhealthy with max. Max then said very aggressively, ask me that don't just talk in front of me.
He put emotional and social pressure on pixie to do something she didn't come on to do. That's fine to do that pixie could have ignored him if she wanted and kept speaking to Stephen rudely in front of him. It would have been socially difficult for her to do because of how rude it is. But possible. Max didn't literally force her but he came close. However its fine because its not literal forcing.
But later he reframes what happened as pixie came on specifically to speak to max. Which is why its so important to hear what max thinks. But that wasn't it. Pixie should have been allowed to giv eher thoughts but max derailed and made it about him and then rewrote history so what he wants (him talking) was always what pixie wanted.
This is such a good example of the light gaslighting max employs.

I think Destiny believes 24 is younger than it actually is. A 24 year old isn’t a kid. By age 24 a lot of people have families, they have degrees, they have management level positions at big companies etc. I expect 24 year olds to not stake out a strong position on something, attack people for it and then be hypocritical and do it themselves a week later. Honestly, I expect that from a 17 year old.

As someone more new to Destiny as a streamer and his views, I truly believe him to be one of the most grounded individuals on the internet. The stance that MrGirl aka Max takes on Destiny as a fellow content creator and friend is absolutely absurd. I would personally never ever ask a good friend of mine to bend the rules for what he thinks is right, just because I "feel" discredited by how he treats me. In an intellectual conversation about some very broad subjects I don't think expecting someone to meet your every bias and goal for how you "want them" to view you or show you as, should be met. I think its perfectly normal to have disagreements and to have differences. I also think its extremely manipulative to "expect" that someone treats you with a higher standard emotionally in a professional environment. Both the emotional and professional experience you have with someone can be different regardless of if they are your "friend" or not. My biggest issue with Mr.Girl and with Lav currently is that its not a matter of Destiny not reciprocating their feelings during a debate, its the fact that they quite "literally" expect him to be like the "big brother" and to shield them from criticism or conflicts of opinion with other people debating them in the call.
Yeah the unrealistic double standards would be one thing, but it was never even agreed upon "professionally" and Max acts like it was is just frustrating to say the least.
