My Xbox One is bricked

- So I decided to play my Xbox One and... It's not working correctly. I am extremely pissed of that my "cutting edge" Xbox One is bricked after a year and a half of use. My Xbone is lightly used and in very good clean condition and I almost always completely turned of the console when I wasn't using it. My Xbox 360 and all my Sony PlayStations never did this

Yeah mine's bricked and I'm pissed too. It just randomly stopped working and I accidentally bricked it. I thought it was just a little bug or something so I had to factory reset it but it took to long. And since it's so old now I just bricked it even more and now it's unusable
How?
I did the same thing just now after not updating my Xbox one for many years now it’s basically junk won’t do anything
UPDATE: I sent the unit in for replacement for $115 and they sent me a Xbox one with a broken Blu-Ray drive so I sent it back and there sending me another one. I won't be surprised if the third one has a broken eject button or some other problem.

This Xbox has been replaced years ago and these days I use an Xbox One X

I replaced this Xbox with an Xbox One X back in 2017 and these days I use a PS5.
This Xbox has long been replaced by an Xbox One X. If you currently have an issue with your Xbox One I’d recommend sending it in or just upgrading to the One X. The One X is a night and day improvement on both a 1080p and 4K TV and is well worth the investment for an Xbox fan. Games just look so much better on the X when compared to the VCR and S models.
If your looking to buy your first Xbox One get the X. If you don’t have the money or absolute don’t care about graphics, resolution or frame-rates get the S. Avoid the original VCR model.

Yo my xbox one s was bricked. And instead of it going through the xbox loading screen, it instantly goes to troubleshoot. I sent it to Microsoft and I should expect my console back next week. Wish me luck

I did, they wanted $115 to repair or replace it. I think I will just sell it for parts and buy a new S or re-buy the exclusives on PC
Bought the sunset overdrive edition when it came out and after a few months using it, it randomly crashes and I barely use it too. Not exactly know whats causing it since I mainly use my ps4 and pc
I’ve been rocking with the PS5 since launch and have been loving the system. I managed to secure a Series X from Best Buy a few days ago and I’m looking forward to playing Halo Infinite on it. I haven’t launched a game on my PC in over a year since I prefer the experience of the current gen consoles as I’m sick of drivers, monitoring thermals, tweaking settings, and hunching over at a desk.

Fking hell I was just getting the destiny update and it bricked my Xbox. Now I can't play destiny anymore or any game for that matter.
I have had 2 xbones die on me and I know how painful it is for a destiny player who can't play the game. However I play destiny on PS4
if you have downloaded any fallout 4 mods since there has been some mods to brick consoles you could call bethesda, but if it happened normally pm me on Skype or some comment for Skype if u want I can try to help

My One S is fucked too. I kept in a good spot and clean. I was just playing GTA and all of a sudden it shut off and wont even turn back on now. The light will flash and then turn off after 3 seconds. I called customer support and they just gave me bullshit advice (unplug it from the wall, move it to another outlet). Now I have to send it in for a fucking replacement. Fuck Xbox.
That's why I own 2 PS4s. Had my first one from day one and never had an issue and I upgraded to a PS4 Pro when it came out and that also has yet to have a problem, but 2 xboxes in a 15 months crapped out on me. I'm know fanboy but with my experience Xbox ones don't last for shit.
I sent it in for a repair about a month ago but when I got it back, Xbox reset it and literally none of my discs would install. I have over 20 discs and none of them would work. Only the 3 games that I had installed onto my external hard drive had worked. I contacted their support team and they told me to send it back for another repair. They told me that I would have to pay for shipping and I said no. I had to pay 10 dollars to ship it last time and I sure as hell wasnt going to do that again. They then offered my a 3 month xbox live code and I said no, I want free shipping. They gave me the free shipping label and I told them that I wanted that xbox live code too. Im supposed to be getting it back this tuesday.

Call support and see if they can give you tips or if they can fix it either for free or for a fee.
I sent mine in back in the day for $120 to get fixed and it took 2 weeks. Once I got it back it turned on again but it didn’t read disks at all. So I sent it back this time for free and it took another 2 weeks. Once I got it back it worked but I lost interest in the console at that point. I didn’t even use my console much and it gave me so many problems. I used my PS4 before I got the Xbox and it never broke and still works great today however I’m 2016 I upgraded to the Pro and don’t use it anymore. I later replaced my Xbox One with an Xbox One X in 2017 and it works fine.

Ever since my internet got shut down 5 days ago it's been useless. I think it got bricked by an update.
Fixed it, I did a hard reset, hit the power button and held on to the eject and the controller scan button at the same time until I heard a second chime. Then it gave me an option to factory reset. It even gave me an option to keep all my games.

Cold War shut off my PS5 in the middle of a zombies match. The console is still fine but it scared the living shit out of me.

It’s gotten better over the years but overall I hate the Xbox Ones U.I. I think the PS4 and even Switch are better in that aspect.
