- Brand new Xbox One X. The first 2 games I tried kept shutting the system off as soon as I tried to start them. I decided to record the problem and got a minute of the issues before it to shut down.

Is it plugged into a surge protector, because if it is Microsoft said Don't plug it in a surge protecto,If it is plugged into a surge protector it stops it from have optimal performance, so u have to plug out the surge protector wait 10sec and plug in the xbox.

Should have gone with the Xbox One S and a PS4 Pro... You would have had 4K UHD BD in the Xbox, and better FPS in the Pro. It would have been about $50 more than this console if you bought both on sale.

This was definitely not a TV issue, or an HDMI problem. It was not an issue because Call ofDduty was still updating. Destiny was causing the exact same problems and that was already fully downloaded. I returned the same day I hooked it up and found the issue. GameStop gave me another one and it has been working flawlessly since I got it.

its odd that the dash was fine and that it only happened when you tried to load the game though. That would seem to me to be a fault of the software perhaps? Are you have any problems with any other software?
+Rico Uk I returned the unit to Gamestop and picked up another one. I have had no issues since with the new unit. My guess is that it was a graphic card issue and when I tried firing up a game it couldn’t handle it. Just a guess.

You should try all this, check all your HDMI wires make sure the game is updated completely and unplug the Xbox from the powers cord for 5-10 mins and plug it back in make sure your not using power surge and plug it directly to the wall looks like it's not getting enough power
+Andre Lebron I had hard reset the system a bunch of times. It was plugged into the wall. GameStop gave me a replacement that day and it worked perfectly.
Looks like a TV issue. Check cables
HDMI problems or the power cable try changing them out or get a new one
or it's the thermal paste if you go on tronixfix UA-cam channel you will see it

Went through two ps4 pro at launch similar problems , lucky for me Xbox one x no issues bad unit it happens love how the salty ps4 people come and bash a defective Xbox when same thing happens to there systems too .

2 days after I got mine SOMEHOW it set the tv settings to display 480p. Couldn’t even pick up 720p. Fixed it by messing around with the advanced settings in my tv though. Fair to say I shit myself

To be honest the console if fine it's the game. I have cod ww2 and on my Xbox one S it crashes and turns my Xbox off. I played Fortnite and gears of war 4 and it's perfectly fine. I am gonna return my game...
