Thank you so much, was wondering how to remove the rear deck. I'm working on removing some tint on the back window and it's difficult to get in the very back without removing the deck. Thanks!
Also on the hybrid the wire harness connector is not accessed from the inside of the trunk but from the top when the deck is disengaged. There are a couple of connectors (look like xmas trees upside down) that have to be disengaged. I just stuck a screw driver next to them and gently pried up. After disengaging and disconnecting the wire harness the deck lifted off as in your video. These were the only relatively minor differences. I was then able to remove the mouse eaten seatbelt and replace.
Good video, but for drop in replacement of the 6.5" speakers, you can save a ton of time and effort by simply popping off the plastic speaker grill covers. Takes less than 30 seconds each. There are two plastic lips toward the center. Just pry them up from the outside edges. If you wanted to convert to 6"x9"'s, your video covers the whole deal.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video, very informative to me. I plan on replacing the speakers on my 2014 Civic shortly. I don't think I could do it one handed though :). Again, Thanks for showing. Request - Would it be possible to to make a video showing how to remove the front seats completely and properly so that the airbags do not need to be reset afterwards? Also, show how to remove the back rests on the back seat? I need to wash all of these and the carpeting because of cigar and cigarette smells and I don't want to trigger the airbags. Especially for the front seats. Thanks Ian
ALWAYS remove the negative terminal from the battery FIRST. That'll disable the entire electrical system and won't allow the airbags to deploy accidentally. As for the "backrests on the back seat" do you mean the head restraints? (This video shows you how to remove the rear seat back already.) If you want to remove the head restraints, lift them up to their fully-extended height and then depress the push button on the plastic housing that the restraint fits into - they'll lift up completely out of both of the holes.
I give this tutorial 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟! Although, it would be much easier to follow if you weren't yelling so much through the whole entire video. Very aggressive.
Nice job. I was just reading about this in the service manual because one side of the trunk lid on my 2010 Civic is sitting higher than the other side, and the screws to adjust the alignment are under there. But I don't think I'm going to bother :)
I had to do something because the trunk suddenly wouldn't close. The latch wasn't aligning with the striker anymore. But I was able to fix it by aligning the striker. I can't remember if one side being higher than the other is new (because of what I changed) or not, but I'm leaving it. I confirmed it is making contact with the weatherstripping, and it's not leaking in the rain, so it's all good. :)
Wait, no 8 minute introduction and showing the chickens in the yard? Add some LOUD music and I might follow it. I'm about to do this to replace a rear seatbelt. The car is a hybrid and the seats don't fold down but I don't think that matters.
@@opiegeorge4178 Nah, when a thieft gets into your car, He will take what he wants one way or another... Even taking the whole car with him... That just makes things more complicated to any owner looking to upgrade the audio system.
Possibly the best how to video I've ever seen. Each step, no 7 minute intro, no goofy music 👍🏻 thank you!
How a “How to video” should be made. No life story, straight to the damn point. Here’s a thumbs up
Great video tutorial! Not too cheesy, but not too in detail. Right to the point. Liked
Thanks for the straight forward video! Very helpful.
Best fkin video on YT for this. Straight to the point, with notes on the details. Thank you so much!

Mouse ate the seatbelt? That was one hungry mouse lol

So you're talking about the middle speaker in the rear? You can just pop that cover off from up top?
There are no grill removal covers. It is a whole assembly covering both speakers. What he did was just right..
@@vikramjit-5547 for coupe models this is the process. I have an 8th gen civic si sedan. I can pry all covers off. 2 rear corners and factory sub
Hellz ya great video

I didn’t realize you need to tear apart the whole damn car to do this

@Derp The Clown yes dude! He didn't say a single word the whole video. It's like ASMR speaker removal.
Will the new speakers be plug and play or do you need to solder them?
Oem replacements will be plug and play
At 2:07 you make that look so easy but I’m kinda lost. You probably used a little plastic pry bar thing the first time right?
Just grabbed it with my hands
@@MrRangerZr1 I got it. super helpful video btw
civic fd1.8 also same way ?
same procedure
Wow such a professional video. Yet I’m 2 minutes in and can’t even tell if it works for 8th gen 😒😒😒
Similar process.
It does work for 8th gen. I'm doing it right now! Great video! Everything's virtually the same for my 2013 LX. :)

I would just leave it alone. New Hondas from factory are leaving with so many imperfections, it's not even funny.

thanx 4 da video i wana take da rear cover speaker off da previous owner left it real filthy with crayon and grime residue

Good video but screw all that, too much work just to get at the speakers.
Seems like a lot but it's pretty straightforward. You can pry the speaker grille out to access just the speakers.
Why did Honda make this car so hard to work on even for the most simplest things.
It's not difficult at all.
The purpose is to make it Anti-Theft. If it is easy then its easy to steal.
Iam really exactly thinking the same
@@MrRangerZr1 Since you have to remove panel after panel after panel and seats and all that complicated, not difficult, but complicated.

All that work for just 2 speakers... Honda always making things more complicated than they should...
