I've had carpet rolls break through the side of my trailer because a tire went flat quick causing trailer sway severe. This controller would've saved the trailer and stopped it from swinging into the other lanes on the highway when it started for sure. Awesome idea and it's one of the best I've seen put into practice. To many people panic when trailer sway starts.....this would save lives fore sure.
you did a great job. I was looking into beafing up my Jeep wrangler for towing and I was told to go into the dealer and have then enable sway control. now I know what it is.
My 20 ft travel trailer tows rock steady. It has never swayed, even during ferocious winds. And I don't even use a sway bar. I do have a weight distribution hitch.
Holiday Rambler in the 70's and 80's had a similar trailer anti sway called ASC, Automatic Stabilization Control . The trailer had sensors mounted on all 4 corners and a controller installed in the tow vehicle. Sadly HRC quit offering this as an option in the 90's. The controller unit was made by Trail-A-Matic, Inc. of Mound Minn. Glad a company has re-introduced this type of device.
I'd like to see this test with non trucks. For example, my 2009 Pontiac Torrent AWD has integrated Trailer Sway Control, so I'm sure the current Chevy Equinox does too
Did you test the Ford sway control ant the Tuscon together? I have the Ford sway control and I'm curious if the Tuscon sway contorler would work as well wirh a truck that is equipped with the Ford sway controller

I drove semi's. never had a sway problem. never had this device. if RV stuff were better designed, engineered and built, sway would be no prob. but, as rv crap is here to stay, I shall consider purchasing this new tech, along with disc brakes, shocks, controllers, etc.

Apples to oranges. Semi's are 80,000#, designed to carry a lot of weight. RV's are designed light so you don't need a semi tractor to tow them around. I also drove semi's and I have had a trailer sway due to improper loading, was not fun. I just picked up a travel trailer yesterday and drove it home in very strong winds, and would have loved to have had something like this on mine, it was wagging its tail every time the wind gusted to 30 MPH. The trailer weight dry is 4480#, the total rig weight is 11120#.

What kind of weight distribution do you have? Is it a chain type or bar type? And what do you pull it with?
