Y'know, this girl was being a little rude when rejecting her classmates invitations to socialize, but bullying her is an overreaction. Maybe she needs time to come out of her shell, or feels overwhelmed by the attention of being new. In the unlikely scenario she does think she's better than anyone you just move on with your life. I never understood why someone would go out of their way to harass others
Yeah. Her punching her also went too far. And her response to her classmates wasn’t nice, esp since most ppl would love to be welcomed like that since it’s very rare.
However, she wasn’t hurting anyone until they went and instigated her. People are too comfortable talking crap without worry of getting their face caved in.
@@ma.2089 YES EXACTLY like leave her alone. She may be antisocial but she is literally not hurting anyone
Idk how anything she did was rude? So if she didn't want to go with the boys to the cafe she is forced to go or else she's rude? Or with the girls in order not to be rude then she would have to force herself to eat more than what she is comfortable with even if it could possibly upset her stomach from over eating? She never raises her voice or insults any of them just states that she wants to be left alone and that she is done eating. It is just frustrating as someone who has autism and exhibited similar behavior to anzu growing up, how many people especially my parents would call me rude just for being blunt about things or my needs. I would have to act in ways that were very unnatural to me in order to appease everyone else around me and not be a pariah but I couldn't keep it up for long so it never worked. I was ostracized and seen in a bad light/rude all the same. it was mentally exhausting to the point I gained depression from it. Yet neurotypicals will never give any concessions or benefit of the doubt to neurodivergent people. They take things way too personally and assume that neurodivergent people are being insulting to them when that isn't even our intention at all. Also neurotypicals oftentimes can talk behind others backs or just mess with people like the bully in the vid and no one bats an eye. It's all so tiresome for me.
@@praisehircine6125 With the lunch and the cafe I think she was being politely firm, that's why I said "a little rude" instead of outright rude. The only part I'd consider rude was when she said "Does this have anything to do with you?" bc she's treating them like antagonists when they're trying to get to know her (which in her case is still justified). Even then she isn't being super mean to anyone, the bully was taking things super personally for no reason. Tbh I get where you're coming from with the mistreatment from being neurodivergent bc I have ADHD and social cues escape me sometimes. Especially in the south where old ppl think not smiling is "rude". I'm sorry you've experienced bullying for things that don't make sense. I hope you meet more people who can appreciate you and also hate dumb social rules
@@praisehircine6125Finally some people who shared my sentiments, yeah I don't understand why people are saying she's being rude... She just wanted to be left alone.

Sometimes the answer is not to be rude to others for no reason. I was that kind of person in the past who wanted to be left alone and i will say it, this girl made a mistake. You see, no one has anything to do with your dark past, so don't be rude like that to someone who just wants to get to know you better.

The moment she took the book out of her hands, I saw red- if I was reading a book, minding my own business, and someone came to pick on me, take my book, and drop it on the ground, honestly I'd punch them too! My pride as a bookworm wouldn't take that standing down!
honzuki.....rozemyne XDXD
Haven't seen the anime yet so not sure what happens next however sadly in real life punching a bully like this often leads to more problems than solutions. If the bully reports the girl to the teachers or the police whose side do you think they will take? The sociable girl who just teased a fellow classmate by taking her manga and "accidentally" dropped it on ground OR the unsociable girl who who just punched someone in the face in front of the whole class?
We the viewers and other classmates know about the context behind this escalation. However the fact is the girl will now be seen as a unstable social outcast and the bully will be the victim of a assault. She can't claim "self defence" since despite the bullying, she wasn't a physical threat to the girl. I had dealt with a few bullies back in my days in hight school. Even if you "win" you still somehow "lose" one way or the other. No one dared to bully me after I punched a few people that tried. However that lead to me becoming the outcast, and even the few friends that I had were a bit on edge around me, they were afraid I would punch them too if they stepped on my nerves. I hated how it turned out.
So many here believe in the opposite but never dwell in the consequences. The trick is to do this away from prying eyes.
What will you do if you are male and the person who snatches your book is female?
Now add what if you are 18+?
Punch her? And then what? A long court case and imprisonment. Worth it?
except that they wanted her attenbtion she should reply them
I don't endorse violence against bullies...I DO however find it hilarious. 😆
Do you endorse bullying against bullies?
Come on, some kids jump under a train because they're being bullied. If a punch can avoid it all it's worth it :(
@@islandsunset more often than that bullying is the reason why people becomes a bully. But that said, I'm an advocate for the "fuck around and find out" policy.

perfectly executed right overhand. I never watched this anime nor do I know what it's about but I do know prime waifu material when I see it.
One thing that's seems warped with society.
Is that bad people who walk just shy of the line never get punished harshly enough to deter them.
And if you're "good" you're suppose to just take it and tell someone even though your life just gets harder and harder for it.
Fuck that.
I was bullied and I did the right thing. Took it, told teachers, it started to happen outside school etc and it just kept getting worse.
One day my Grandad had enough and he took me aside and told me that next time they try to touch me, inflict as much damage as possible, it doesn't matter if you win or lose. Just make them think twice about it next time.
I won, it wasn't even close.
Sure they'd still mouth off at me from time to time but they never touched me again.
Moral of the story, being "Good" and doing what's right isn't always the same thing.
Edit: I will say though the girl was needlessly abrasive mind. Not saying otherwise.
Your situation was different and you had the right to self-defense, but
Sometimes the answer is not to be rude to others for no reason. I was that kind of person in the past who wanted to be left alone and i will say it, this girl made a mistake. If I were there, I would have laughed to that all talk girl.
If you just let them be, they will just come back for more. So just end it early, don't give a fuck who is wrong as long as she gets what she wants. They started it and verbal abuse also hurts as well
That was pretty badass
You see? Sometimes violence IS the answer

Violence is never the answer, it's a question. And the answer is yes.
I love this scene. She only escalates when absolutely necessary - first, she ignores the bully, then when the bully constantly provokes her and steals her book, she asks for it back. The bully drops the book, and she asks if this is to provoke a fight. When she gets her confirmation, only then does she strike back with a punch - and what a punch that is! She stands up immediately (using her back to throw her chair so she can get up faster) and then winds back and throws her whole body into it. And after that is settled, she doesn't continue to beat up the bully, she's done.
Can't even blame the kids for not liking her. Even when they were trying to get to know her she was being rude.
We have reached the conclusion of the famous book "Fucking around"
Unfortunately, George RRRRR Martin took too long to write the sequel “Finding Out”.

Now that's a *chef's kiss* satisfaction right there. A bully got a punch in the face. Well, she asked for it and had it coming.
I'd like to share my experience:
Back in my fourth grade, there was this tough-ass bully, like no one would really dare to raise a fist on him. Me, as a silent yet emotionally sensitive person, he bullied me to the point that I snapped.
One day, the moment he bullied me in front of the class, I stood up, pulled a chain out of my bag and whooped his ass really hard. I wasn't good with my fists and I knew my bully would fight back if I used fists.
He came back to me after a moment, fidgeting with red teary eyes, but I stared back at him without saying anything while still holding the same that kissed his ass. I would do more and worse if he crossed the line again. That may seem brutal but I found it oddly satisfying that I was able to vent out.
Eventually after that day, he stopped bullying me, and the other bullies stayed away as well.
As for me, I kept hiding the same chain in my bag and some other stuffs to defend myself and that became a habit to me until today (though I'm no longer using the same things as before).
Better safe than sorry. I don't wanna be involved with their crap and I just wanna enjoy my space and peace.
And then everyone clapped right?
And the teacher did nothing? What school was this, Skid Row High?
@@commandercaptain4664Teacher don't really do nothing but make it worse, usually why victims of bullying take it into their own hands
As a hard-core introvert myself the moment I saw how she replied to her classmates gave me anxiety, my brain was shouting "what the fu*k you doing!!!" Ngl, tho I agree that what the other girl did was bad and shouldn't be tolerated, the main girl was asking for it, coz I myself had avoided my classmates for my entire school life and the first rule to avoid people is to by blending in rather than picking fights by being rude, just be an average Joe and nobody's gonna bother you or care about you 🤷
It's not good enough here, but in the original story, it's to set the right example for the heroine to the defiant girl, not just for violence.

I heard they focus on this bully a lot more in the light novel as well as the mc parents. I hate when they skip so much material and growth in these movie adaptations. They did the exact same thing with. "A silent voice" the manga goes so much more in-depth with each character and their growth.
Yes, they skipped that part,
Light novel and manga did focus on the bully,
In manga and ln all 3 went to the festival, but movie just removed the bully.

I for the life of me will never understand why someone could be rude to another person just because of their way they act throughout. Seriously it was quite clear that the transfer girl simply wanted nothing to do with other individuals even though they tried. And well OK I can see that as being kind of a downer thing because it makes her seem, I don’t say rude, but unapproachable. But you know there are people out there in the world who are just not into being social. Maybe she’s one of those individuals that sees school, not as a place to make friends or anything, but rather as simply, I guess you could say a form of requirement.
And then, of course, you have the fact that the bully girl had pretty much no moral ground to stand on. She took the girls book from her. Mocked her for it and then dropped it on the ground. As far as I’m concerned, the transfer girl punching her was a completely valid response and appropriate. Unfortunately what is entirely likely to have happened is because she threw the punch. The teachers are only going to punish, the girl and not the girl who instigated everything just like schools have done for God knows how many years.
