Man, those leaves look crispier than the toast I had for breakfast. I'm a first year grower who hand waters. I use a very coarse potting mix. We got 1.5 inches of rain on a Saturday night/Sunday this summer. Then high temps went into the high 90s for the next two days. When I went to check on my trees on Tuesday, some of them were already wilting. Lesson learned. One of the pitfalls of growing in containers.
Got a fix for you as I travel as well. You should look at my watering video. Large crop loss is unacceptable for me. I use a pump (could use two for redundancy), an Alexa plug, and a camera. All remote as needed and pretty inexpensive. When I'm at home, I use it to fertilize. Sorry for your loss.
Man that sucks! I always worry about that. I usually switch to brand new batteries on controller when I leave for a couple of weeks. Other option would be to add another controller for redundancy, and set offset timing on them.
I'm sorry that stinks, the birds have been bad for me this year maybe because how dry it has been. My link tap sends an alarm for low flow and high flow according to the perimeters set. Maybe the notifications aren't on. I do have a wifi camera so I can look at the trees and my chickens when we are gone.

I will have to check my settings. I may have turned notifications off as it was sending them every time a zone turned on or off.
sorry about your bad year of figs, from the good to go it was black maderia and now this i.... I am sorry my friend
Dang!!! You have had a bad run of things with some good trees dying in the winter and now this! Sorry man
I have been waiting for your cuttings for months. Do you still have them up to FigBid by next week?😢
No, if I list cuttings it will be in November.
Whats that fig in your profile picture?
Black Madeira
Usually like good news mixed with rhe bad in your videos. But not bagging your ripening fruit invites nothing but trouble, why are you surprised?
Not surprised that it is happening, just surprised by the amount. I find it has helped to control the SWD, even if it means fewer figs for me.
