    Thanks for doing all this great research. I've learned a lot about the Ridgeline that I wouldn't have understood without your channel.
    Also, thanks to the viewers for their great comments also. I live in "crazy state" Cali and should have known better.

    Yuriy,
    Thank you for your videos. Partially because of your Ridgeline videos, I have chosen to stick with a Ridgeline. Last night I traded in my 2018 RTL-T (66K miles) AWD for a 2020 RTL AWD. Same truck, same color, but many new upgrades for less than the purchase price of my 2018. They dropped the RTL-T from the line up. What my 2020 has that my 2018 didn't was:
    - electronic shift control
    - moon roof
    - power rear sliding window
    - sport mode with paddle shifters
    - traction control, lane assist, and a bunch of other stuff I don't need
    - tailgate lock
    The only thing the 2020 doesn't have is the right side mirror camera and they got the K&N air filter I added. The dealer was like every other dealer from Honda, Toyota, Ford I have dealt with and try to scam you into additional items. I negotiated getting some options removed and they added two others when they presented the new offer. Who doesn't get scammed really though.
    I can afford a huge truck like a Ford Raptor or full size loaded Ram but I have a Jeep CJ for offroading and the Ridgeline is a dream to drive, handles easy trails and mud, and even snow and handles Los Angeles traffic with comfort. I have filled the bed with gear, added a hitch cargo rack with gear and four people and the Ridgeline drives so nice.
    Looking forward to more of your Ridgeline videos.

      Thats Awesome! I would like to upgrade to the newer model because I actually am a bit attracted to the new design but since its exactly the same truck just new look it doesn't warrant the upgrade. I have been a bit behind with videos due to new baby being born a few days ago. I start shooting new content tomorrow. So thank you for watching and stay tuned for more info. I will be focusing on making this channel informative and continuously working to improve the quality and experience for watchers.

      @@YuriyMotso Awesome. Thanks for the reply. I opted for the 2020 instead of the new 2021 because I like the view with the current hood and like to see more of the road. HPD version sounds pretty nice though. We'll see. Looking forward to more videos.

      @@PinstripeJim I hear you. As long as you enjoy the vehicle that is all that matters. I am a bit envious of individuals with the 9 speed transmission however. :) wish I had the shift paddles. Big deal for this truck.

      Would love too. I think that will be on hold until I hit 1000 subscribers as it's very expensive to create content. I am just doing the best I can for the time being. Maybe one day I can actually recoup some finances from this endeavor. Until then I am just going to continue to be as consistent as possible and learn along the way. The goal is to just make as good content as I can until I can buy better equipment and then keep improving from there.

  • @agaad22
    @agaad22 3 роки тому +2

    Damn, that AEM is LOUD! I removed the resonator below the oem airbox and it’s definitely louder, but that open filter AEM just sounds amazing.
    The Takeda always seemed way overpriced and not worth it. Can’t wait to see your dyno results to see if it’s worth it’s price.

    • @YuriyMotso
      @YuriyMotso  3 роки тому +2

      Agreed. If you don’t care about potentially any gains, (though the dyno confirms other wise), just the way the truck makes you feel from driving with the AEM WOT is well worth it IMO.
      However final dyno results will give me piece of mind once all said and done. I would sacrifice sound over performance or efficiency.

    Yuriy, enjoying your series👍. I run the AEM on my 2017 RTL-T AND I agree with your assessment of the Takeda full-throttle sound. It does sound like the OEM box. MAYBE 🤔 we’ll see a torque or hp bump with the Takeda. My 10¢s, it will match the OEM numbers.

      @@pose1d0nYT Drop in or the Full intake? Should not be throwing codes. I have heard some people have run into issues but I drove thousands of miles without ever seeing a code. Is everything plugged in properly? there is a vacuum hose that plugs into the inlet and the wire harness below the intake that you have to move around are the only things that could possibly throw issues IMO. Did you by any chance touch the MAF sensor with your bare hands? If so you may have contaminated the sensor with your oils or what not and could be a reason why you are having codes thrown.

    Thank you for the video. I had K&N in my Odyssey, and opened the base of the factory box up some, it sounded good.

      I been trying to do a wrap up video for a long time now. Eventually I will get around to it once I move into the house I just ought and am refreshing. The AEM is my personal favorite. Reasons: Its a drop in. No oil required during cleaning which reduces possibility of damage to the MAF sensor, reusable, and in my testing produced much better acceleration and Fuel economy along with good HP gains.

      It’s possible that it could. You are changing A/F ratio with this. But dealership doesn’t need to know. Remove it and put original one on if anything happens. Then if they have questions be like, “I dropped a wrench and had to remove the intake to reach it”.

    I have this installed on my 2019. Fuel Economy will decrease with this. Mine dropped 2 mpg. Throttle response is improved though.
    I'd be curious what this does on the dyno. I'd say not as impressive as the AEM, but probably more linear throughout the rpm range.
    Heat Soak will be less due to the enclosed system. The MPG drop was a little disappointing 😕

    • @YuriyMotso

      Thats unfortunate. I will however still have to do my own testing with my vehicle so that its conclusive for me specifically. I have 3 more drives to do. OEM air box with OEM Filter, ECO mode, Takeda Intake and for shits and giggles I will do the Takeda with ECO mode. That last one will be interesting.
      I am however interested on the Dyno once I start testing all of the units head to head. Now that Dylan at Countersteer know how to get the truck to cooperate I can just bang out the results.
