aFe Intake On A Mazda 3! | 2019+

In this video I will be installing the aFe Cold Air Intake on my 2022 2.5 Mazda 3. I installed the Cork sport on a 2014 2.0 engine. You can definitely feel the difference.

Hey Strady, Ive been enjoying watching your build on the 3, I'm getting my own soon. I was wondering if you've run the intake without the rubber Takeda insert opposite of the intake piping.
I read that it lets the intake be more vocal without sacrificing the fresher air from the system, but I haven't been able to find a video or a write up confirming.

I am interested in what this would sound like with the grommet removed also. Potentially u could remove it for a sporty drive in the hills, to hear some induction roar. Then refit for your daily commute.

I like when people do stock and aftermarket dynos. On some of them they don't even do as well as the OEM. In fact they lose airflow on some of these creating less HP

So short ram is actually better for turbo then the cold air intake, so for NA cold air is better for compression but on turbos the turbo heats the air back up so it doesn't change much

Question. We dont need a car memory saver for this car right? I need to run wires through the firewall. Would be nice if you made a video on how to do this to add a solar charging system to the car because it starts dying within 3 days I beleive if you dont use it. Plus the alarm and inverter

Yeah it’s pretty much the same, it terms of sound. But you can definitely hear the induction through the exhaust… But I may upgrade to the oiled filter later!
