Since I became a catechumen this has been a subject that keeps intriguing me more all the time. One of the great things for me as even a step of faith was to build my icon corner for my prayer space. Yes I built it. I basically made a platform that could sit on my desk in the corner of my room. Everything goes on the platform and not on the walls. I made shelves for icons to sit on and can be easily removed to venerate. Platforms for candles and incense. I use a wheelchair so I have lots of room and clearance in the corner at the desk that’s connected to the corner. I also have a light to do my reading at the prayer corner. It actually was a fun project and made me happy to construct it , and now that it’s done has already become a huge part of my spiritual life.. It’s definitely my quiet place to go for repentance, reflection, learning, peace, contemplation, prayer for others, etc…
I am so grateful for content on UA-cam like this! In a time of such delusions even amongst Christian circles… having access to quality such as this is so refreshing!
Yes, yes, yes. Glory to God. I have several aspiring ( young men, recently converted or on their way.)icon writers in our parish. Last week a passive/agressive discusion erupted. That got bogged down when one person brought up a very speciffic icon and presented an exeption to the rule as the rule. Now i can just show them this.
Nothing he said is controversial or far out. This is just iconography 101. I would trust the words of an actual iconographer over a random internet hater.

The Left often uses the exception as the rule.
Oh no! I pray for a peaceful resolution to the strife amongst the young aspiring icon writers.
Jonathan Pageau is no expert or icon maker of any great measure.
Praise God for this! Christ is risen ☦️
Indeed He has!☦️☝️
I appreciated the explanation of how icons depicting scenes with Christ are depicting cosmic events.
Pageau is amazing!
Praise God for this teaching!
Thanks
More Jonathan content would be great. Love his insights.
I love a good icon
Did Jonathan carve that podium with the Québécois fleur de lis? Lovely, whoever made it.
Thanks great video ☦️☦️☦️

Something went awry with the syncing here (audio↔video)
Genius thumbnail!! 👍🏻
Icons with UFO’s? UAPs? Was that click bait or did I miss it?
Such an amazing lecture - and you cheapen it by writing "UFO's" in the thumbnail. Why would you do something like that?
Over-interpretation of ikons: cannabis has a very long half life, so wait at least a week sober before interpreting anything holy.

Yes, very disturbing that the Father entertains this .
@@ienjoyapples He has a degree in iconography? I never heard of that
Stay sober, because you never know when you might have to interpret holy things. 😉

❤Amazing❤
