      From the very beginning this case wasn’t taken seriously. When the police first arrived on scene, Travis McMichael was covered in blood and Ahmaud was bleeding out in the middle of the road. The cop didn’t separate father from son, he didn’t cuff the father/son, he did not secure an weapons, and he did not secure the vehicles for search and seizure. These men were treated like they had hit a cat in the road.

The killers interfered with the body, walked through the crime scene, conferred with each other to get their stories straight, sat in the vehicles used in the crime, Were given water to drink while covered in blood, and the arriving officer offered no assistance to the dying victim. He didn’t secure the weapons or preserve the scene integrity, he didn’t handcuff the killers in case they were dangerous. No police procedure protocols were followed. Given this man's already botched handling of the crime scene, how do you suggest he respond? He can't go back in time, and he can't shut off whatever neurons are responsible for nervous laughter.
      Everyone seems to be under the impression that there is one right way and one wrong way to physiologically act while on the witness stand. Have any of these people commenting ever even been in a courtroom? It's not like on TV. Laughter =/= mirth. The victim's mother is not witnessing a man laughing at the murder of her child; she's witnessing a man who didn't do his job (either out of malice or idiocy) finally realizing how majorly he screwed up.

      @@rosecorcoran Not sure why your going to such lengths to explain his depravity

    • @rosecorcoran
      @rosecorcoran 3 роки тому

      @@JamesCM86 I'm not, cause I don't think nervous laughter as an automatic physiological response is "depravity". His actions or lack thereof at the scene of the crime were depraved, because he made a choice not to do his job. He chose to not take an action he should have. That, and similar behavior, is what people should focus on and criticize. Instead, the comments on here (and on footage of other officers in this case) are focusing on things like the officers' weight, appearance, emotional responses in court, etc. All things that have nothing to do with justice. People who look at an officer who flagrantly failed at his duty, like this one, and only talk about how they don't look/sound/act serIous show that they aren't actually thinking about the facts of the case, but rather in skin-deep, shallow stereotypes. It honestly makes me hope these commenters never sit on a jury. They're the same kind of people who would let a murder off because he "looked" innocent, or who wouldn't believe a victim of they laughed nervously while recounting a crime.
      The fact is that Arbery was murdered, and this officer failed in the initial crime scene detail. Some people see the laugh as a sinister sign that he doesn't care that Arbery died. I see it as an admission that he knows, or at least in the moment realized, that he didn't do his job. I'm not defending his depravity on court, because I think the depravity happened at the crime scene.

He had the same requirements as any other citizen. There is every possibility that G.Mc. had been involved with AA when he was arrested at the age of 18. Furthermore, anyone in this County has the right to have their cases reopened due to the illegal actions of Mr. McMichael. Along with any sentences imposed by State Courts.
