Just started watching you. I’m pretty new at hand tools, but your friend Rob Cosman has really been great. I was doing power tool woodworking about 3 years ago. I’m maybe one of a few people who started woodworking at my age. I’m 80 years old now and was a software engineer until 2004 when the company went out of business and at 62 I figured that I wouldn’t get another job because of all the kids who have their hair on fire looking for work. So I retired. I’m also a retired USNR Chief Petty Officer Quartermaster, Submarine Qualified. 33 years active and reserve. Stephen Clingerman QMC(SS) USNR Ret.
Got here from Wood by Wright, and as a fellow veteran (Army, Iraq ‘03, 3rd ID, combat medic), I will proudly support you. 225th subscriber to be precise! And so far, the only complaint I have is that you’re Navy! 😉 Rock on brother, I’m starting to work on some new life projects as well, so I also wish you well with your new endeavors,…and take a shot for a fellow Scotts-Irishman, and I’ll pour a Jameson for you here as well.

Rob mentioned (=praised) you, and I had to come here, and now you have a new subscriber from Denmark. I've retired and new at woodworking, with a very low budget, and I spend a lot of time watching and learning from good people who put a lot of thought into their woodworking, especially in the winter when it's too cold to work in my tiny shop. By doing so, I've saved a lot of money not buying tools I would like to have but really don't need, and upgrading the ones I do need. And to do that, you have to be selective in finding the best woodworkers/channels you feel you can trust and pay attention! (Just like in life, right? ) Thank you for sharing 👍 Wish you and your family all the best in 2022 ❤
