I can't see a single reason why any country may be deemed not eligible to participate in it. Olympic sports have, say, a disc throwing. So what, only Greeks should be allowed to do this, simply because other nations never had this tradition? (I am generalising of course)

No striking behind the neck, leg, or any gapped area where the armor is not protecting (it sometimes happen, but avoid it if possible). Once you are pushed down to the ground, you are out, last man/team standing wins the match/round. I may be missing some rules. Refer to the HMBIA rulebook online.
