As you will notice if you will keep discovering this at the moment one of the best power/trash metal bands in the world. Wolves are something that has been a theme for Lovebites since the beginning. This is a group made of 5 extremely talented women. LOVEBITES "The Golden Touch" - Myiako guitarr/grand piano, synth and other background arrangements. From the beginning a classical piano players since a little girl. Started play guitar at 18 years of age. "Little big engine" - Haruna drummer. One of the best metal drummers in the world i our current time is female. And its "Little big engine"Haruna from Lovebites. Haruna is in our current time a just a 4'9" amazing package.. With groves and fills and pounding double kicks but at the same time she can be just extraordinary melodious. A phenomenon... The Shredder - Midori guitarr Amazing guitarists both with acoustic and electric. She competes in "fitness" thats a sort of bodybuilding style. "The Voice" - Asami lead From the beginning a ballerina dancer. That made her way from soul and pop to metal style. She allways sings in english but the Japanese accent makes it hard sometimes to hear. Use captions if available on YT or google the lyrics. Often very very uplifting lyrics and its Asami doing the mayor parts of them. "Shining Fingers" - Fami bass The newest member. And in this video you just saw it was the old bassist Miho. Fami has a bigger knowledge of different bass play styles. She also do more of slapping and varies more . While Miho was more of a very good Grove finger style player only. (Before Miho on bass) You may listen to any song of them. Everyone is good they have never made a bad song. And yes all songs are original except that they have made some few straight off covers. The talent of this group is off the limit on each individual . But its also as song writers they are just awsome. Nightwish is symphonic metal. Bandmaid is more straight rock with some metal enfluences. Lovebites is first and foremost powermetal with trash elements. Even if they vary a lot in styles due to different songs. And in powermetal their rolemodels is basicly older heavymetalbands from EU. Like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and likewise. Today in our current time and their genre its BattleBeast, Unleash the Archers, and maybe DragonForce thats the only comparable great bands. But its very few that sounds this good live. And writes and compose so good songs every single time. As said... You will not find a bad one !!! This is an totally amazing band in so many ways. The Japanese metal/rock scene is the best in the world currently, especially the all female groups (Lovebites, Nemophila, Band-Maid Hanabie & others). They are the best metal band tpday IMO. Elite musicians and an elite singer. The 2 guitarists, Midori & Miyako, are the best duo I've seen in 50 yrs of listening to metal. Dive deeper, they never disappoint.

As others have said, best new metal band out there. They won Metal Hammer's Golden Gods award for Best New Band in 2018. They should be WAY more popular, but they seem to be on an upswing right now, especially with them coming to America next year. I own all but one of their currently released live Blu-rays and waiting for their latest one that ships this month. It was sad to see bassist Miho leave but she seems really happy with her new gigs and Fami is an excellent replacement.

Great reaction guys. This band mainly play power and thrash metal, but very versatile with speed, progressive, power ballad, hard rock, and also symphonic metal. They sound symphonic somehow because the singer Asami sings kind of operatic voice although she basically is an R&B singer, and also the main composer Miyako (they all compose though) the dark haired guitarist is a highly skilled classic pianist, then they have classic inspiration in their composition. Try their Swan Song with Revolutionary Etude ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html. You'll find Chopin and Dovolzark influences there. Their songs are original, and they only covered so far three songs, Painkiller, Eagle Fly Free, and Love Bites (So Do I). Yes, they are small. The smallest one is that mighty drummer Haruna 4'9" tall, and The singer Asami is 4'10" tall.

Best new metal band in the last five years. Hard to top them right now. The Midori-Miyako M&M combo on guitar is an all time pair of dual leads for me. These ladies blow my mind. Haruna on drums is a little monster. Asami belts out the high notes with ease. Then they added a new bass player Fami (not Miho the one in this video). Never skipped a beat.

At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases. If you listen carefully you can hear a heavy influence of Iron Maidden. Miyako has her own Dean series guitar. And learn to play guitar at 18 she is also a classical trained in the piano. Swan Song is highly recommended.
Haruna-san is like the energizer bunny lol...She does that the entire show! Amazing. Haruna and Miho (nass) formed the band when they left Destrose (former members spawned for many bands). Miho is a huge iron maiden fan. The vocalist for them at Destorse was Marina. You got it right, M&M clinic right here! If you continue to explore their catalogue, you will see they never play meaningless solos, but always carry the song forward and each solo is unique.
The other guys have made suggestions of where to go to fully explore the band but you can’t go wrong, especially with the live stuff. Live from the Abyss is particularly fun. Look out for Swan Song (with Chopin intro), Frozen Serenade, Edge of the World, Lost in the Garden and when you have 10-15 songs under your belt you might like to check out Soldier Stands Solitarily, which for me is the pinnacle…..
this band has no peer! not only are they, as you both could just witness, awesome musicians and performers. they also are (especially dark haired guitarist miyako, who is also an excellent piano player) fantastic composers, which is really very rare. their backcatalogue of around 60 songs contains not a single bad, stale or mediocre track. stick with them, it´s worth it. short edit: they are very determined perfectionists: their albums and live shows for blurays etc. were recorded, mixed and mastered by mikko karmila and mika jussila from finvox studios helsinki who are famous for their work with stratovarius, amorphis, children of bodom, nightwish and many more.

The guys who do the mix and mastering of their releases are from Finland and also work for Nightwish. They really do an amazing job. But also the quality of the raw recording must be top notch to get that result …
You’ve just discovered the best band in rock music history. I make this bold statement to any channel that experiences LOVEBITES for the first time, but I genuinely mean what I say. I’m 64. I’ve seen bands that are considered “greats”. To name those I can best remember we’re talking Zeppelin (penultimate gig with JB) Deep Purple (but only with Ritchie), Sabbath (Ozzy and RJD) Thin Lizzy (with Gary Moore) AC/DC (with Bon and Brian) Whitesnake, Metallica, Iron Maiden (DiAnno and Dickinson) Queensryche (supporting Dio 84) Dio (lots of times) Rush (lots and lots of times, Rainbow, Steve Vai….. I think I’ve made my point. These are all artists considered “great”, some considered superstars. But not one of them has what LOVEBITES has. LOVEBITES have 60 songs, all self penned, produced and arranged. There is not a single album filler amongst them. That’s not fan bias…come back and argue the point when you’ve heard them all. LOVEBITES has so much more than just phenomenal musicians playing great material flawlessly. They are approachable, appreciative of their fans, are a really tightly knit sisterhood and genuinely enjoy what they do, and enjoy giving us enjoyment even more so. Their lyrics are 90% positive, many times uplifting, and are simply a joy to watch and listen to. I’m lucky enough to have seen them 4 times live this year. I’m near bankrupting myself in the process but I don’t care. I’m enjoying the best music from the nicest people you could hope to encounter, and I consider myself a supporter more than a fan. I have just discovered a reaction channel that knows what they’re talking about, have picked up on every aspect of the band (including stuff most miss even ten reactions in) and is informative and entertaining at the same time. Don’t do what many channels do and bracket LOVEBITES as “another great band we’ve discovered thanks to you guys “, because that generally leads to a lack of focus and your trying to please everyone. You can react to as many bands as there are stars in the sky. But none of them are in the same universe as LOVEBITES, and that is something on which nobody will persuade me otherwise.

alek i agree with most of what you say and i have seen all the bands you listed above and a lot of them DOZENS of times. lovebites are my FAVORITE BAND right now passing an aging METALLICA. and i cant wait to see them in september in atlanta. but until then there was never anybody like LED ZEPPELIN especially live. have a great day and happy holidays buddy!!!

Welcome to the Wolf pack! They write lyrics, compose, arrange and perform this world best rock music!! The lead singer Asami used to be a ballerina and she mostly writes English lyrics. I need to tell that you just stand in front of the LOVEBITES castle, and the inside is a real wonder land. Their rock music spans quite wide band width. I recommend, Swan Song with Chopin intro, Liar, Frozen Serenade, End of the world, judgement day, Stand and deliver, …will stop at this point. Other guys recommendation will be good ones, as in their 60 songs there is no waste song. And many live ones are better than studio versions, the clear evidence of a great band!

Almost all their songs including this one are written by lead singer Asami with an independent songwriter named Mao, and developed into final form by all members of the band. This is their song in every sense. They have done covers - very few. They were named after Halestorm's tune "Love Bites (and so do I)" which Asami performed with Lzzy Hale when both bands were in England. They opened for Halestorm in Japan and Lzzy liked working with them a lot. No issues, just friendly professionals doing a great job. Speaking of opening for Halestorm, if you haven't heard "The Warning" alias the Villareal sisters, another band Lzzy loves, you need to. I recommend their performances at the MTV VMA awards this year for a starting place. "Evolve" is one. PS: I left out an important detail: Miyako, the guitarist on our right playing a Dean, has been an increasingly important creator. She has written some of their newer songs. Miyako was trained and accomplished as a classical concert pianist, but she learned guitar on her own and was in several bands and collaborations as a rock and metal guitarist before Lovebites. She usually handles the more soulful solos and Midori (guitarist on our left, playing a custom ESP) handles the flashy technical solos. Because Midori did her music school education primarily on guitar, Miyako consults her for any knowledge gaps she might fill in, and Midori is glad to do so. Which I think speaks well for both of them.

"Liar", "Break the Wall", "Nameless Warrior", "Glory to the World", "Winds of Transylvania", "Judgement Day", "Swan Song" with the Chopin Revolutionary Etude intro, or their masterpiece "A Frozen Serenade"...you really can't go wrong with Asami & Co. There are also many other Japanese and Korean bands with different styles but just as amazing...Band-Maid (my personal #1 if absolutely forced to choose), Nemophila, Hanabie., Gacharic Spin, Scandal, tricot, Glim Spanky, Bridear, Trident, Mardelas, Toranoko Rammy, The SheGlapes, Whiskey Dust, Saiseiga, Leopardeath, Hagane, Hades, Rolling Quartz, DIH...well, you get the idea :)

Holy war is an original Lovebites song music by Mao (ex keyboard for Light Bringer) and Lovebites wrote the lyrics. Most songs are written by Lovebites. Asami - Vocals, Piano. Writes lyrics and some music with Mao. Miyako - Guitars, Piano, Backing vocals. Writes music and is main arranger for band. She's the girl next to the piano. Midori - Guitars, Backing vocals. Has written some music. Miho - Bass, Backing Vocals, Founder. Cowrote music with Mao and for those songs wrote lyrics. Left band in 2021. Haruna - Drums, co-founder. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Slayer, Megadeth, Angra, Yngwie Malmsteen, Deep Purple, Helloween, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they are redefining metal. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miyako is also a concert level classical pianist. Miho (ex bassist and founder of the band, who left in August 2021) said in an interview that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestion is “The hammer of wrath” (live, 2023)

Haruna is a 4 ft 10 inch Nuclear Power Plant! She and Tamu (Nemophila) are 2 of my favorite drummers out of that scene. Lovebites has over 50 original songs and not one is average. For your next Lovebites reaction I would suggest "Hammer Of Wrath", the latest official live version off the Knocking At Heaven's Gate DVD. The drums are miked perfectly, picking up Haruna's incredible pattern with the snare and toms when they go halftime right before the solos. Well worth checking out.

From the beginning a ballerina dancer. That made her way from soul and pop to metal style. She allways sings in english but the Japanese accent makes it hard sometimes to hear. Use captions if available on YT or google the lyrics. Often very very uplifting lyrics and its Asami doing the mayor parts of them.
"Shining Fingers" - Fami bass
The newest member. And in this video you just saw it was the old bassist Miho.
Fami has a bigger knowledge of different bass play styles. She also do more of slapping and varies more .
While Miho was more of a very good Grove finger style player only.

And yes all songs are original except that they have made some few straight off covers.
The talent of this group is off the limit on each individual . But its also as song writers they are just awsome.

Bandmaid is more straight rock with some metal enfluences.
Lovebites is first and foremost powermetal with trash elements. Even if they vary a lot in styles due to different songs.
And in powermetal their rolemodels is basicly older heavymetalbands from EU. Like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and likewise.
Today in our current time and their genre its BattleBeast, Unleash the Archers, and maybe DragonForce thats the only comparable great bands.
But its very few that sounds this good live. And writes and compose so good songs every single time.
As said... You will not find a bad one !!!

Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in
2018 - Wacken - Open Air in Germany
2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England
2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium
2019 - Download Festival in Spain.
In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

As others have said, best new metal band out there. They won Metal Hammer's Golden Gods award for Best New Band in 2018. They should be WAY more popular, but they seem to be on an upswing right now, especially with them coming to America next year. I own all but one of their currently released live Blu-rays and waiting for their latest one that ships this month. It was sad to see bassist Miho leave but she seems really happy with her new gigs and Fami is an excellent replacement.

Great reaction guys. This band mainly play power and thrash metal, but very versatile with speed, progressive, power ballad, hard rock, and also symphonic metal. They sound symphonic somehow because the singer Asami sings kind of operatic voice although she basically is an R&B singer, and also the main composer Miyako (they all compose though) the dark haired guitarist is a highly skilled classic pianist, then they have classic inspiration in their composition. Try their Swan Song with Revolutionary Etude ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html. You'll find Chopin and Dovolzark influences there. Their songs are original, and they only covered so far three songs, Painkiller, Eagle Fly Free, and Love Bites (So Do I). Yes, they are small. The smallest one is that mighty drummer Haruna 4'9" tall, and The singer Asami is 4'10" tall.

Best new metal band in the last five years. Hard to top them right now. The Midori-Miyako M&M combo on guitar is an all time pair of dual leads for me. These ladies blow my mind. Haruna on drums is a little monster. Asami belts out the high notes with ease. Then they added a new bass player Fami (not Miho the one in this video). Never skipped a beat.

Here some information about the band:
LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came Covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
Recently their album „Judgement Day“ was voted #15 in best metal albums of the year 2023 by readers of Metal Hammer UK. What is a fantastic result for a still relatively unknown band. That’s the power of the Wolfpack 🐺
LOVEBITES finished touring Japan in October. Earlier this year in March they played their comeback show, 2 evenings at the same venue. This was their first live gig since 2021 and the very first show with their new bassist Fami. There are 4 videos from evening one on their YT channel. One of them is „The Hammer of Wrath“ more thrash compared to „Holy War“. You could take it for your next reaction.

Miho is a huge iron maiden fan. The vocalist for them at Destorse was Marina. Anyone who is not absolutely enthusiastic about these fantastic musicians knows absolutely nothing about extremely good music...
this band has no peer! not only are they, as you both could just witness, awesome musicians and performers. they also are (especially dark haired guitarist miyako, who is also an excellent piano player) fantastic composers, which is really very rare. their backcatalogue of around 60 songs contains not a single bad, stale or mediocre track. stick with them, it´s worth it.
short edit: they are very determined perfectionists: their albums and live shows for blurays etc. were recorded, mixed and mastered by mikko karmila and mika jussila from finvox studios helsinki who are famous for their work with stratovarius, amorphis, children of bodom, nightwish and many more.

Jump into the rabbit hole head first. Hard to be disappointed by Lovebites.
You’ve just discovered the best band in rock music history. I make this bold statement to any channel that experiences LOVEBITES for the first time, but I genuinely mean what I say. I’m 64. I’ve seen bands that are considered “greats”. To name those I can best remember we’re talking Zeppelin (penultimate gig with JB) Deep Purple (but only with Ritchie), Sabbath (Ozzy and RJD) Thin Lizzy (with Gary Moore) AC/DC (with Bon and Brian) Whitesnake, Metallica, Iron Maiden (DiAnno and Dickinson) Queensryche (supporting Dio 84) Dio (lots of times) Rush (lots and lots of times, Rainbow, Steve Vai….. I think I’ve made my point.
These are all artists considered “great”, some considered superstars. But not one of them has what LOVEBITES has. LOVEBITES have 60 songs, all self penned, produced and arranged. There is not a single album filler amongst them. That’s not fan bias…come back and argue the point when you’ve heard them all. LOVEBITES has so much more than just phenomenal musicians playing great material flawlessly. They are approachable, appreciative of their fans, are a really tightly knit sisterhood and genuinely enjoy what they do, and enjoy giving us enjoyment even more so. Their lyrics are 90% positive, many times uplifting, and are simply a joy to watch and listen to. I’m lucky enough to have seen them 4 times live this year. I’m near bankrupting myself in the process but I don’t care. I’m enjoying the best music from the nicest people you could hope to encounter, and I consider myself a supporter more than a fan.
I have just discovered a reaction channel that knows what they’re talking about, have picked up on every aspect of the band (including stuff most miss even ten reactions in) and is informative and entertaining at the same time. Don’t do what many channels do and bracket LOVEBITES as “another great band we’ve discovered thanks to you guys “, because that generally leads to a lack of focus and your trying to please everyone.
You can react to as many bands as there are stars in the sky. But none of them are in the same universe as LOVEBITES, and that is something on which nobody will persuade me otherwise.

On LOVEBITES most recent tour last Summer she played an excerpt from "La Campanella" by Hungarian composer Franz Liszt in 1851.
Their 3 Metal 'covers' are their 'namesake' "Love Bites (so do I)" by Halestorm (LIVE audio only); "Eagle Fly Free" by Helloween (studio-LIVE video); "Painkiller" by Judas Priest (audio CD track).
Their originals span a wide range of genre, metal-sub-genre (ballad to thrash), sometimes within songs (prog). Always English lyrics, mostly uplifting resolution.

Welcome to the Wolf pack! They write lyrics, compose, arrange and perform this world best rock music!! The lead singer Asami used to be a ballerina and she mostly writes English lyrics. I need to tell that you just stand in front of the LOVEBITES castle, and the inside is a real wonder land. Their rock music spans quite wide band width. I recommend, Swan Song with Chopin intro, Liar, Frozen Serenade, End of the world, judgement day, Stand and deliver, …will stop at this point. Other guys recommendation will be good ones, as in their 60 songs there is no waste song. And many live ones are better than studio versions, the clear evidence of a great band!

Almost all their songs including this one are written by lead singer Asami with an independent songwriter named Mao, and developed into final form by all members of the band. This is their song in every sense.
They have done covers - very few.
They were named after Halestorm's tune "Love Bites (and so do I)" which Asami performed with Lzzy Hale when both bands were in England. They opened for Halestorm in Japan and Lzzy liked working with them a lot. No issues, just friendly professionals doing a great job.
Speaking of opening for Halestorm, if you haven't heard "The Warning" alias the Villareal sisters, another band Lzzy loves, you need to. I recommend their performances at the MTV VMA awards this year for a starting place. "Evolve" is one.
PS: I left out an important detail: Miyako, the guitarist on our right playing a Dean, has been an increasingly important creator. She has written some of their newer songs.
Miyako was trained and accomplished as a classical concert pianist, but she learned guitar on her own and was in several bands and collaborations as a rock and metal guitarist before Lovebites. She usually handles the more soulful solos and Midori (guitarist on our left, playing a custom ESP) handles the flashy technical solos.
Because Midori did her music school education primarily on guitar, Miyako consults her for any knowledge gaps she might fill in, and Midori is glad to do so. Which I think speaks well for both of them.
The Songs are originals. They did 2 or 3 Covers (for Example., Painkiller from Judas Priest) Tjey are inspired by the 80´s with a fresh touch

Your observations about this band are spot on. Holy war is an original Lovebites song music by Mao (ex keyboard for Light Bringer) and Lovebites wrote the lyrics. Most songs are written by Lovebites.
Asami - Vocals, Piano. Writes lyrics and some music with Mao.
Miyako - Guitars, Piano, Backing vocals. Writes music and is main arranger for band. She's the girl next to the piano.
Midori - Guitars, Backing vocals. Has written some music.
Miho - Bass, Backing Vocals, Founder. Cowrote music with Mao and for those songs wrote lyrics. Left band in 2021.
Haruna - Drums, co-founder. Wrote one song music and lyrics (in Japanese) Bravehearted for old band her and Miho were with. Appeared on EP Lovebites in Japanese. Later appeared on first LP translated to English by Asami.
New Bassist was chosen from online submission and audition contest in 2022.
Fami - Bass, Backing vocals and new kid on the block.
Check out the first song in this concert Thunder Vengeance. It is a bit thrashy. Asami always sings like an angel.

Well, you’ve just witnessed greatness. These women are extremely talented, skillful, and exceptional versatile musicians. Their live performances are outstanding. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Slayer, Megadeth, Angra, Yngwie Malmsteen, Deep Purple, Helloween, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they are redefining metal. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miyako is also a concert level classical pianist. Miho (ex bassist and founder of the band, who left in August 2021) said in an interview that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestion is “The hammer of wrath” (live, 2023)

Haruna is a 4 ft 10 inch Nuclear Power Plant! She and Tamu (Nemophila) are 2 of my favorite drummers out of that scene. Lovebites has over 50 original songs and not one is average. For your next Lovebites reaction I would suggest "Hammer Of Wrath", the latest official live version off the Knocking At Heaven's Gate DVD. The drums are miked perfectly, picking up Haruna's incredible pattern with the snare and toms when they go halftime right before the solos. Well worth checking out.
