From my perspective it's hard to imagine anyone not loving Lovebites!! Over-the-top skills, great crowd engagement, superb song writing with uplifting lyrics. and performed beautifully with joy....what's not to love?? Thanks for being such a good supporter of Lovebites, Joel!!🤘
I truly did not know what to expect from Lovebites, but dang, they can rock. I have a hard time enjoying female singers (I'm a female) but her voice is so perfect for this music!!!
she's a trained vocalist, so she always tried her best to sing with good quality vocals, especially the runs and vibrato uses. I can't even do vibrato properly, even tho I've been learning for about 3 years since the pandemic get me seriously hooked to high note vocals in old school rock band like Steelheart, Angra, or even Dream Theater.
Can tell John was pleasantly surprised with what he heard. This is the Wolfpack's Lovebites anthem, and based on a poster at his back wall, it can also be an anthem for a team John supports 😁

ha ha ha ... he was stunned! That is how it should be! And then, there is no crazy solos in "We the united". I think he has to see also another track with crazy solos. Not that "We the united" is a bad reaction song. It is a very good one. But Lovebites is mostly known for their unearthly solos and guitar harmonizing. Nice one. When he mentions UA-cam being an influence I cannot disagree. I would never have found Lovebites without UA-cam. But, I would never have found Lovebites, and a few more Japanese bands, without first finding Babymetal. I hope Lovebites add more dates to their current tour. I have tickets to their only gig in the UK, I hope they add more.
UA-cam and all the reaction channels that appeared during the pandemic, had a great influence on the exposure for sure. Though I discovered some of these by myself. I remember that, after watching some people reacting to babymetal, and that algorithm went haywire. It lead me to Band-maid, Lovebites etc.
The “Superfecta” of Progressive Hard Rock, Hard Rock Trio, Progressive Groove Metal, and Power Metal: Band-Maid, The Warning, Jinjer, and Lovebites -- all pushing their core genres into the next realm! 🤘 🤘 🤘🤘Thx, John & Joel!

Japan has the second largest music industry in the world. It was very insular until the pandemic when people started discovering them. Their industry discovered there is a market for their bands worldwide.
Japan's Rock/Metal started heavy in the 80's with X Japan, Loudness, Show Ya and many others. Just type one in, in the search window. X Japan even performed at Lallapalooza 14 years ago!!
You forgot to put in EZO. They were managed by Gene Simmons. " Flashback heart attack" was one of their songs! I got their first two albums back in 1989 in an obscure record shop! Interesting band, very Kissesque, I wonder why? 🤔
Tickets for Lindau, Germany, bought. This is gonna be a great concert year: The Warning i April, Lovebites in June, Jacob Collier in November. Could only get better with Ren at some point.
The biggest influence for todays Japanese Rock/Metal band is Maximum The Hormone. There's so many Jrock/Jmetal band that says MTH is one of their influence.
Members of Show-Ya have organized rock festivals exclusively for female bands from 1987 to the present. LOVEBITES has not performed at the festivals, but it is clear that they were born out of the female band scene.
Actually a really big thing is that japan music companies used to be *much* more restrictive on broadcast/exporting music. So a big reason it feels like japan is recently exploding is that we've been getting a lot more access to japanese music since oh, 2014-2015 or so. Sometimes you can find groups uploading their old mvs/music as well that was never readily available before (maximum the hormone for example has been slowly releasing old videos for example). So you get this weird spot where when you look into it now you can find a thriving metal/rock scene thats been around for 40+ years but if you were looking in say 2005 you'd only maybe find some bootleg x japan stuff. That combined with stuff like youtube making it easier to find japanese music (which is connected to the music companies being more restrictive in the past) instead of having to say, actively navigate through .jp video sites, it makes it feel like its blooming out of nowhere.
Thank you for reacting and supporting Lovebites, the most talented ladies in metal

9:15 "Iron Maiden on steroids" is a pretty good description of LOVEBITES.
More like Iron Maiden on estrogen but that's just me. Don't get me wrong. I just like being more specific.

LOVEBITES - We The United lyrics:
The silent dawn has been broken
Our fate has now been decided for good
Innocence can never be regained
Blissful ignorance turns into guilt and shame
We must first learn to give and understand
That no one is able to live alone
There is no need to be perfect
Everyone has their own problems and faults
Everything is indispensable,
Every person is worthy and valuable
Don’t give up on your life, fight for what’s right
Live on and keep searching for answers
We shall go forth
Prideful, we stand united
We can create miracles
Always, there is a way
SOLO: both
Humans are greedy and selfish
Wanting attention more than the respect
Recognize the pain that others hide
Have the strength to fight even for someone else
People who’ve never made real enemies
Have never stood up for what they believe
We shall go forth
Prideful, we stand united
We can create miracles
Always, there is a way
Always, I will be here
Always, we will be there
