Shannon, your practical approach to goal-setting and using the reticular activating system is genius. Your achievements are a testament to the effectiveness of these strategies!
I'm so proud of you as I know doing a Ted Talk was a long-time goal of yours. Keep moving forward and I know that there are many more great things in your future.
This story is so inspiring! I think Shannons journey really showcases the power of aligning with your ikigai and honestly it's making me feel pretty motivated 💪
Figure out your ikigai Write it down Make some goals Make a vision board Starts writing the baby steps Once you start to fo what you made for, you living your best life.
Shannon, you've achieved so much by pursuing your ikigai. However, what advice would you give to someone who's struggling to identify their purpose and passions in life?
Hey Shannon, great talk! How can we balance pursuing our ikigai with practical responsibilities like earning a living and fulfilling daily obligations?
Hey Shannon you mite remember me you we're my lil sister for years do you remember marty im so happy your doing so good you we're the smartest kid in town and still are lol
I get what she's saying but I'm still confused about how to apply it to myself. I don't know that anything I'm passionate about is valuable or could have positive impact and I don't think I'm good enough at any of my passions that could... at least not good enough to monetize it.
I appreciate the concept of ikigai, Shannon, but isn't it a luxury to solely focus on our passions? Many of us have practical responsibilities and financial needs that might not align with our passions.
Yes, the part of Ikigai that is "What you can be valued for" is that piece. Before I left teaching to pursue writing and speaking full-time, I made sure I had my house and vehicle paid off. Financial responsibility has to be taken seriously as well.
