This version is a scene taken from the film "The Jazz Singer". Its not as natural and free flowing as his live shows.Try to get some actual concert performances. Thanks for reacting to this.
Have been to many of Neil’s concerts. Three hours of Heaven…no opening acts…no intermission! He is absolutely Ahhhhmazing! His last concert was his 50th Anniversary concert, cut short by his diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. Masterful legend!🔥❤️💎
Nice review. He was the biggest male solo live artist in the 80s even after being a mega star in the 70s. A wonderful voice and absolutely prolific song writer
This is from the 1980 version of "The Jazz Singer". That is why they keep cutting to the Rabbi in the audience - that is his father who disapproved of his decision to become a rock star.
As mentioned this is from the soundtrack to the movie The jazz Singer this soundtrack has sold over 16 million copies. Neil diamond is also known under the nickname the Jewish Elvis. Great artist
You need to watch The jazz Singer get the gist of that song. A song as beautiful as simple as song sung Blue and Sweet Caroline. He is just a compassionate model musician. Love this artist!
One of the best singer-songwriters and performers in modern music. He sold over 130 million albums and broke attendance records wherever he performed. His songs were covered by the greatest: Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, UB40, Deep Purple, Bob Dylan, etc. Please react to some of his other songs, he has a huge catalogue to choose from: Brooklyn Roads, Solitary Man, Soolaimon, Stones, Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show, Dry Your Eyes, I Am... I Said, I'm a Believer, Red Red Wine, Sweet Caroline... The list is endless.

Neil Diamond. Native New Yorker, tall, dark, sexy. He's in his 70s or 80s now. He's had 10 #1 hits, I think, and wrote a lot of songs that were performed by other people. In recent years, he's continued to fill stadiums around the world. If you're a sports fan, you might have heard a song of his called "Sweet Caroline", often played at sports stadium events. He went to High School with Barbra Streisand and they were in chorus together. I recommend Love on the Rocks, Heartlight and, of course, Sweet Caroline (the version he performed at Glastonbury): ua-cam.com/video/S2GbWSjewoQ/v-deo.html
This one of the only songs that u can have people who are from different generations, cultures, music taste , and when this comes on no one will even consider trying to change the station and by the middle of the song every one will be singing it out loud together.
If you get a chance, listen to gus African Trilogy from the Tap Root Manuscript album. It was recorded 54 years ago & still resonates with me. I've been a fan of his since i first heard "A Little Bit Me, A L ittle Bit You" on the Monkees tv shoe back in 1967 when i was all of 10 1/2 years old. What a glorious ride, Neil!!!
This song always gives me chills! As we slide into the totalitarian abyss...
