Ziba! I can sympathize. There were times that I can get rid of outfits that no longer felt right for me only to get newer outfits that benefit my moods. Practice! Practice! Practice! are indeed the keys to understanding and living and breathing fashion! ❤😊
This is wonderful! Thank you for reminding us to do the work in advance! I've been trying to do this a full season ahead. So in the summer I worked on fall pieces. After I tried everything on, I decluttered and realized I also have gaps. That helped me make my list early. Since I buy most everything from thrift stores, It's been a lot easier going straight to the section such as black sweaters. Just last night I scored a charcoal cashmere turtleneck for 8 dollars!
@@ZibaLennox Thanks! I've learned that shopping for clothes at thrift stores off-season it's very effective in finding excellent pieces at cheap prices. In the hot weather no one else is looking for sweaters LOL.
I literally just had an epiphany watching this video! I have an armoire in my bedroom that has drawers on the bottom that I use but the hanging space above always held a TV. It’s actually been several years since we’ve watched tv in the bedroom (usually will watch a movie on my IPad if I’m going to watch something before bed). I’m going to take out the tv and reclaim that space to stage my upcoming weeks wardrobe! Genius! Thank you for the idea! New subscriber!
Hi, welcome! Thanks for saying hi, and also so glad you had an epiphany ✨🤩 Great idea! I’m excited for you and hope that you have fun with your me time and look forward to getting dressed. 🙏
I love your methodology! Since I don't have that many clothes and I only have the current season's clothes in my closet, I think I could organize almost everything your way. I'm going to try it! You're also very right when you talk about practicing with outfits. Sounds like a good way to have some fun on Sunday.
Hey Ziba!! I'm kind of proud of myself because this is a system that I already do in many ways 😂... I keep my work wear separate from the rest of the closet on a rack simply to make getting and going in the mornings as seamless as possible. I do this weekly but I have enough room on the rack for a few weeks and will definitely try that!! I always enjoy your content because no matter what, I always learn something new, useful, and interesting!! You look great as always and thank you for sharing!!!
Great minds! ❤️✨ Love the weekly system! That’s commitment🙏I also just remembered David Beckham does this per his documentary 😂 thanks for the kind words and making time to engage with my videos 😊
I keep lists of outfits on my phone. While it really helps, I have three problems. I live in a rural area and people are dressed VERY casually. I can never find anything in my closets. When we go to town we often run 6-8 errands so I need to wear comfortable shoes.
I can understand not living in a city where dressing up is more the norm. I think taking little risks that push the envelope might bring you joy. This solution attempts to solve the issue of not being able to find your clothes. In terms of comfortable footwear, most people need that! Think of New Yorkers that walk everywhere, every time I’m in the city I have to wear a pair of shoes that I can walk in and fortunately there are many brands that do this well! I talk about them here a lot, like knee high boots, Inez, retro sneakers. Even some western boots! 😊
I live in the same type of area. I've tried dressing casual like everyone else but then don't feel like myself. I went back to dressing up and feel much happier. Sure maybe I feel like a fish out of water but I've made peace with that. I think what I've realized is that on me dressing up looks nice but not too over the top. I don't want to look sloppy/oversized even if it looks cute on other people, it doesn't on me. I also choose pieces that are neutrals and that helps not draw as much attention. I do love my brights but I've decided to only wear them in my tops or dresses. I stay anchored with black bottoms or navy or denim. I only wear flats and never heals so that Makes me feel more stable and approachable as well as efficient. I hope that helps.
We moved to a place with a large built in closet, yay! I usually get my outfit out the evening before and all the accessories. The only problem is that I am an emotional dresser so sometimes I change everything in the morning 😅
I appreciate the rack idea but I don't think is is practical for most women. First of all, most of us don't have a closet your size. Trust me, there's no "running around " happening in my closet lol. So I'm actually able to see everything in my closet pretty easily. Next, where would this said rack go? If I had a closet your size I'd put it in there easily. But I don't. So is it just sitting out in my room? That's not aesthetically pleasing. And I'm sure that would be a no-go for my husband. 😁 All that said, I will try to incorporate some modified version of the rack because it is an interesting idea. P.S. I love your style.
Thanks for your feedback and your kind words! I have had closets of all sizes and have found that regardless of size sometimes you can’t readily locate what you want to wear. In fact, sometimes, having a small closet can be just as challenging because it’s difficult to see what you have. To your point, it won’t work for everyone but alignment of what’s is heavily on rotation I believe can benefit most😊 My husband’s ski and golf stuff are everywhere so he has no leg to stand on regarding “clutter”😂😂😂

Wow! That’s impressive, good for you 🥰 A seasonal try-on is so smart, and makes you feel better about what you buy!

Congrats!! How exciting, I am the same way. Definitely dress for mood, which is why I need a few options each day 😂
Yeah me too, the only problem is: my mood more often than not, is " I don't care"...:)
@@designmaniac3920 Yes, I've been through phases like that especially after the pandemic. Most of the time I feel better when I wear something nice.
