Dat barracuda looking fish is a “Hauliuli”. We catch um on every hook on the kaka rig night time deep dropping for opakapaka. Super slimy, irritating fish lol
@@garajiseru4087 there are definitely pros and cons to drone fishing but if used the right way in the right areas with favorable winds then it can be very productive, you can cover more ground on just one drop, it's quite the experience 🙏🙏🙏
@@YessahFishing everything is on steroids ova there, I usually just park and walk for a lil from the road. My buddy caught a moana kali first cast and I caught an omilu first cast just today haha. The po’opa’a I caught could literally eat all the other ones😂
Hoo the fish that you guys caught at 9:00 does not look like a mongoose fish. Looks pretty similar to a belt fish though and those fish are delicacy’s in Japan
@@hojimoo4189 I seen that after that night when I got home, there was a few guys on IG saying that it was a ribbon fish and 9 people saying it was a mongoose fish or they just call it that haha. There are certain characteristics of this fish that I was not sure of. The ribbon fish I see on google doesn't have a fork tail as to which this one does and the dorsal fin of the ribbon fish runs from head to tail and the one I caught didn't, tbh it resembled a little more like a lancet fish/ribbon fish or somewhere in between.

My first drone cost me about 200 bucks, it landed my first Ahi and many other species. I believe that drone has definitely saved me money due to it's efficiency. I used to blow a lot of money on gas and drive 50 miles to a spot and be there all day only to catch a few small fish. With the Drone I could cover more ground in one drop increasing my chances. So I say yes definitely saved me money for sure. Pahoa, nice! I always wanted to try to do a drop down HPP side too. Gotta link up sometime 🎣💤💤💤
We tested the Swellpro Spry drone today, catchnkook got it off the FB marketplace. It flies pretty good, although it was missing some parts we could not test it in the water. So cool that you can fly it in the rain, really productive for dropping jigs without worrying about it getting wet.
I know shoot crappy deals about the drone ☹ Yeah bro this cliff is like 50ft, hauling up a bucket of water sucks too haha. I honestly thought when the fish dropped it was good as gone, but braddah catchnkook don't give up so easily lol.

You call it akule. We call it ature for a small one and orare for a big one in Tahiti.
Growing up I noticed the similarities between the Hawaiian and the Tahitian language how some of the letters corresponds with each other it's so cool.
