saw Jane's in '91. Great show. Rollins opened. One of Jane's encores... each had a variety of coolers (like a cooler to put your food and drink into) different shapes and sizes... each had mallets and they had a beer cooler drum circle jam-out! Great time growing up, thanks for the memories.
Saw them in 1991, first lallapalooza tour in middle of nowhere, Waterloo Village, NJ. They closed obviously but at night and the scene was sick. Think we were there for 15 hours drinking wild turkey, beer and plenty of weed. To be 18 again
Somehow I can’t help but feel the pure joy Perry is displaying in this and other latter-day Janes shows videos…. totally feeling it and so happy for him, so glad these guys survived and still rocking hard af 🌠❤️🔥🌠
The whole band was having an absolute blast. Jane's has been one of my favorite bands since they started. As much as I love Dave's presence and playing, I have to say that Josh definitely killed it here.
His voice still punches above that wall of sound, on pitch, and he's in full control- that's a great voice. Not every singer can sing above that grunge and be heard.
This was one of my favorite bands back in my high school days! They still sound awesome! So many great bands made amazing albums in the late 80's and early 90's.
Just wow. I remember seeing them for the Nothing’s Shocking tour. I was a kid. These guys actually sound better. No Dave is a bummer, but this young man did an amazing job. Legends on stage here.
I only listen to live Janes Addiction when Eric Avery is around. I'm a snob, sue me! But, for this band, there is a formula for the Magic, and to me Eric Avery brings the cutting tone and more raw power than the other dudes they used, including Flea. Plus, Eric wrote alot of the music, so he's more emotionally invested. Thats what i tell myself anyways. This music is hard, dark, arty, beautiful, erotic, scary and murky. Woke up a bunch of suburban kids in the 80s - 90s. Was 12 years old when Jane says came out. These guys livened up my youth! Feel better Dave! Josh is also great, thats why hes aging alt rock bands fav hired gun of choice these days!

@@theondulle8475 Well for sure! I totally hear that. There are better fits and better players and no one can replace Dave in that band really, but from Josh's perspective, this is great for him. He brings a ton of energy and just would be fun to see this lineup. By the way....Nuno on that new Extreme album..... holy shit!!
Blown away here. Perry sounds the best he's sounded in years - hitting everything and seems re-energised. The rhythm section is everything Jane's always should have been for decades. Eric and Perk are absolutely made for each other. Chris has lots of props from serious musicians but he *never* got the roll and groove to these songs like Eric does - it's a totally different level. Props to Josh for doing a really good job. He needs to attack it a bit harder to get closer to Dave but it's good. Now stoked to see them again.
I didn’t even know but the first minute in, I was like that guitar sound familiar. Automatically thought Josh. Then read the comment section. TRUCK YEAH! So Happy for him! He brings that good new energy twice! 👍
I was at the first Lalapalooza & Jane's blew my mind! Henry Rollins scared the poop out of me! I went to the next 4...Im surprised I made it out alive & fairly unscathed. I've been in love w this band since & listen to them on CD😮 frequently. Jane's please come to Boise!!
And you all please continue to put our Brother Dave Navaro in our prayers that he'his wife continue to recover from the long effects'complucations from when they had covid

Without a cloud in the sky, those drums are bringing on some lightning! Top 5 bands all time . I'm 53 and on this beautiful morning this popped up on my UA-cam recommendation. Seattle to Chile, shake those asses!
Glad Avery is on bass. Big part of the early recordings
It's a pure miracle Perry at age of 64 it's still on stage!!!!
At age 64 and having addictions of his own, he actually sounds better than the live on Mexico from The Great Escape Artist tour, it's insane.
Yeah. Thought he’d be dead
Holy shit! I’ve seen them live so many times but it’s been a long time. They sound great! So happy to see Eric up there! Too bad about Dave, but his fill-in is killin’ it!!
SAMEZIES
saw Jane's in '91. Great show. Rollins opened. One of Jane's encores... each had a variety of coolers (like a cooler to put your food and drink into) different shapes and sizes... each had mallets and they had a beer cooler drum circle jam-out! Great time growing up, thanks for the memories.
Damn Eric had some of the most epic bass lines ever . Glad to see him back on stage
His bass lines aren’t complicated but unforgettable they’re the framework for every great Janes song .
Is that Josh Klinghoffer? If it is, i got to say it: damn he fits perfectly to this band!
Awesome performance. They give a lot of freedom to Josh and he just grabs the ball on this.
There's just something about Perry's voice.
It's an amazing sight to see him on stage singing, smiling, clean and sober. What an inspiration!
He’s not clean and sober lol. He just does it in moderation
Perry´s voice is quite crashed...he can fight against the age in the surgery , not in the voice ;)
Thank god youre tone deaf 😂
His voice still punches above that wall of sound, on pitch, and he's in full control- that's a great voice. Not every singer can sing above that grunge and be heard.
F****n hell!!! They sound amazing. Josh absolutely nailed it. Superb!!
Always loved his voice, its soothing... good band
He was former rhcp guitarist...what would u expect from him...
I swear Perry Ferrell looks & acts like he's from the planet Vulcan!
Great line up!! Working well nice to see eric back! Well done josh ..love u perky great drums!! MY MAN PERRY!! Have a great year come to london soon baby!
Geezus! This is my jam! Sounding damn stellar guys!😎✌️
Josh fits in well with Jane’s. Probably the best fit for him so far compared to RHCP and PJ. Nice seeing Eric back too! Dying to see this lineup live.
This the best line up...eric is the main reason i pick a bass....they need to make a new album with this lineup...
JOSH ADDICTION 😇
Josh's playing is ok!
But sound wise and performance wise he is nowhere near Dave Navarro!
Someone like Nuno Bettencourt would have been a better fit to fill in for Navarro!
@@theondulle8475 Well for sure! I totally hear that. There are better fits and better players and no one can replace Dave in that band really, but from Josh's perspective, this is great for him. He brings a ton of energy and just would be fun to see this lineup. By the way....Nuno on that new Extreme album..... holy shit!!
Josh is the man!! I love watching him blast these great songs out!!
yep ....better than navarro
@@DarknessYT2010 honestly josh may be one the best guitarist around right now
Is Three Days not one of the most epic songs ever . I never tire of it , amazing piece of music .
during the wildest times of my life, there was a buncha of the songs on repeat.
Thank you for uploading this amazing show
For me Jane's Addiction is one of the best band in the universe, also Stone Roses too.. Both of them are my teenage heroes in mid 90's
love stone roses too
Greatest stuff
Perry is damn near 65 years old and still looks great and sounds great!
Yeah! Damn never realized he was that old, looks good man! Sounds awesome still!
Sure, that delay never gets old!!!
I barely recognize him with all that work done truthfully.
Thats called Botox.
fu*kin' LEGEND
Blown away here. Perry sounds the best he's sounded in years - hitting everything and seems re-energised. The rhythm section is everything Jane's always should have been for decades. Eric and Perk are absolutely made for each other. Chris has lots of props from serious musicians but he *never* got the roll and groove to these songs like Eric does - it's a totally different level. Props to Josh for doing a really good job. He needs to attack it a bit harder to get closer to Dave but it's good. Now stoked to see them again.
I really enjoy the guitar sound from Josh on Jane Say's... Hits the soul in a different way...Freaking amazing
Sound as awesome as ever thank you for this!!!
Estuvo simplemente notable. En vivo sonó demasiado bien!
JAMES ADDICTION 2023 THANKS 4 THIS VID... CMON PERRY LETS GO!!!👍 😎 ✌ 💘 🎸🔥 🎶 🎶 🎶
I didn’t even know but the first minute in, I was like that guitar sound familiar. Automatically thought Josh. Then read the comment section. TRUCK YEAH! So Happy for him! He brings that good new energy twice! 👍
Perry is in his 60’sssss Touring! He is Amazing! Sounds so Good still!
What a rocking show👍👍👍
I don't think they could have found a better guitarist to step in for Dave.... Josh doing phenomenally !🤘☮
Awesome to see them playing at a festival that was created as their farewell tour thirty-one years earlier.
I love this band so much. Such a great show. Know how to play a crowd.
Wow! They look and sound great after all these years!❤
Perry looks like he's made out of plastic now.
@@crassmonkey18 I guess that's why it's called plastic surgery ;)
I was at the first Lalapalooza & Jane's blew my mind! Henry Rollins scared the poop out of me! I went to the next 4...Im surprised I made it out alive & fairly unscathed.
I've been in love w this band since & listen to them on CD😮 frequently.
Jane's please come to Boise!!
drummer is beyond great
God bless what’s left of Perry’s voice. Janes Addiction is legendary.
Josh Nailed It! Awesome drums, Solid Bass, Love you Perry ! Well Done !
Josh é muito fera!!!!! muito bom o ver com o Janes
Eric Avery is Janes Addiction so good he's back!!
The Janes Addicts Is Sounding More Beautiful then ever after 40yrs
You all imma old rocker at 59 but it's good to see the people embracing Jane's Addiction
And you all please continue to put our Brother Dave Navaro in our prayers that he'his wife continue to recover from the long effects'complucations from when they had covid
Still killing it all these years later. Bravo!
Josh is different than Dave obviously but I absolutely adore his musicianship. I encourage everyone to hear and see his piano rendition of "Angel" by Jimi Hendix.
Holy Cow. I was there at the first one, 32 years ago!! Man, I feel old.
One of the most solid bass and rhythm duos you could ever wish for.
Perry looks and sounds great for being 63 and his past lol, nice!
Legendary....Perry is looking and sounding great. The band is solid, truly amazing to see them performing! 👊🏾
