This is an Android 10 AI Box for factory Apple CarPlay and aftermarket systems. It features 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, a fast Qualcomm 665 CPU and an Adreno 610 GPU. There is a dual card tray for expandable SD card storage of up to 128GB, and a 4G SIM card to provide internal internet to the dongle without the need to rely on a mobile hotspot or local Wi-Fi.
I recently read some Amazon reviews that state there are some issues with larger high-resolution car screens. Unfortunately, I don’t have one, so I can’t report if this is a widespread issue. But all I can say is that I tried this adapter on my 1024x600 display and my Pioneer 1280x720 display and I didn’t encounter any display cut-off issues on this adapter. If you want to be cautious, just buy it from Amazon. That way you get easy returns if it doesn’t work out for you.
Other than its lack of Bluetooth controller support, and a few choice decisions in its main menu interface, my overall impression of the PICASOU 2 was very good. So if you’re looking for a top-of-the-range AI Box for your CarPlay display, then the PICASOU 2 sets the benchmark as an AI Box to beat. With its solid performing chipset, a more modern menu interface and sleek external looks. This CarPlay AI Box feels like they have made much more of an effort with this adapter than most others do.

great review. watched quite a few or yours now whilst i decide which box to buy for my audi a4 2017 (non touch screen). are you going to review the new ottocast picasou 2 pro? this has an hdmi in and i’m wondering whether an amazon firestick can be added to this to use all the video apps with its remote control. failing that is there a box you can highly recommend for non touch screens? thanks.
I haven’t been asked about the Pro, but I’ll see if they can supply one for review. Their listing page shows an AppleTV and I think a Roku as a means of input for the HDMI IN port. So Amazon should work also here.
Failing that most AI Boxes seem to work well with the BT remote I used in the video. So that would work with Bob touch screen systems.
I cannot find a way to turn the 24 hour clock off on the Picasou 2 - I prefer the 12 hour clock. Any guidance would be appreciated.
You seem to respond to comments so hopefully you find time to answer a few simple questions:
1. If I connect this box to my phone hotspot, I believe your review said apps like Netflix and UA-cam had audio in sync, correct? Or will I need a SIM to get things in sync?
2. I literally just want this for UA-cam and UA-cam tv. I saw someone said Hulu doesn’t work anymore. Is there a chance the apps die after some amount of time?
1. Sync isn’t related to the internet connection it’s more the hardware dealing with encoding the video and audio and sending it to the display in time with the audio out of your speakers. For casual viewing most of them are ok. So hotspot or SIM, the experience is the same, the difference will be how fast it gets the content and if buffering is involved.
2. Preinstalled apps on these kind of dongles might not be available or updateable via official channels, but usually you can override the app by side loading the correct version. Checking the latest version on Google play usually will tell you what app is current and searching for it on places like APK mirror .com will give you that file. Download onto the adapter via the browser or use an SD card to install it. Usually works for me. I’ve not tried Hulu recently, I don’t have an account and it’s not availability in the UK

I just got this and why I love it, the lack of bluetooth support sucks. I was wanting to pair it via bluetooth with my OBD dongle and use OBD fusion or Torque, but it's a no go. No bluetooth remotes work either and it forces you to buy the ottocast wireless controller.
The remote I used came from MIC. That worked, but many similar looking remotes out there require it’s own usb adapter to work over 2.4Ghz and not BT
I'm looking to get a well rounded one that will work for the torque app with the obd2 dongle this is the main reason I want to upgrade can you recommend one for the that is fast and that will work with android auto and torque pro

Hey bud... I have been using this on my 2019 Genesis G70.
- It keeps rebooting.
- I have been speaking with the techs an I have updated the os 2 times and sent them countless videos and logs on the device not being able to use the steering wheel controls to call contacts. It is a very glitchy product.
- I have been fighting with China to take it back. And they said use UPS to send it back. UPS wants $150.00 to send it back.
- I love your reviews. You do an excellent job on explaining everything. I hope they are not paying to do this review?

This sounds like compatibility to me. Only updates can fix this. Does the G70 run a car android OS? My android headunit jumps in an out on this dongle yet other systems like the pioneer is solid.
Maybe check it see if they mention your car and model anywhere as being compatible and raise that as false advertising. You can also try charge back if this is also the case and that you used a credit card.

Hey, thank for your review. Does it support different app on hdmi and usb? i mean can i from my main screen turn on cartoons for kids, send it to hdmi out and keep navi on main screen? Some sellers on ali says it can, but nobody proof it :(
I doubt it can. There are no options to do that from what I can see. And it just mirrors the main screen output.
I'm not sure if you've been able to test it, but have you had any luck getting the "coolwalk" android auto inteface to stick? I've been able to activate it on 2 of the AI boxes I have by initially plugging into the OEM car stereo with a wired connection. Once coolwalk enables, I can wireless connect to the AI box and the new updated interface will show up. After a few future connections, it reverts back to the old android auto interface.
I’ve not got this version of AA. Can you get it outside of being in the beta? If so I’ll try it out.

Oh that’s a shame. I tried to enter it but it was full already. I was hoping an apk might do it. But apparently I hear it unlocks through account not just through downloading the app.

Picasou 2 Pro is designed differently plus does not use microSD card but rather a USB flash drive can be plugged in. Both use nano SIM cards. Also the Picasou 2 Pro has HDMI Input which is fabulous. I am able to use my Amazon TV Fire Stick 4K Max version 1 or 2 with it and works great. On my TV Fire Stick, I have the Deja Vue Plus app (cost 30USD per month) and watch Live TV, any and all Live SPORTS (I no longer have Cable TV, Satellite, etc) I mean I love my College and Pro Sports and you get it all and never miss any game. Then with Deja Vue Plus you get News, U.S. and Foreign TV stations, Live TV and again Live Sports, and infinite movies. However, Deja Vue Plus does delay live programs by 2 to 4 minutes. Picasou 2 Pro is great but P3 is supposedly better if you do not need a HDMI Input. Carlinkit does not have any device like Picasou 2 Pro, however they are a competitor of Ottocast.
Hi. I have bought this product and must say it's an excellent recommendation. I have one issue though and wanted to ask if you had a similar experience. When I connect it to Android Auto, I always have to delete the pairing and re-pair it to get it to work. It has never automatically found it, unfortunately. It's very frustrating!
Check the app has any updates, same with your phone check for any android auto updates. Some adapters do struggle with AAuto connections, this might be one of those. It seems quite hit and miss and less as reliable as CarPlay.
Instead of repairing, try just doing a reboot of your android device first to see if that also fixes it.

Received it, seems like I always have to turn on hotspot manually on my iPhone every time I use it.. can't seem to get it to auto connect when I turn my car on without the added faff. Is it better to get a data only sim card and put it in the box? @@CarPlayLife
A data SIM is always the better experience. Less reliant on the Hotspot for android apps and lets CarPlay/AAuto operate separately using the same WIFI
Does the Picasou 2 automatically connect to android auto every time the car starts and the AI box boots up ? or is starting android auto a manual process after the picasou 2 starts up ?
You can have the app auto boot up on start. So your phone auto connects to it once the adapter has booted and launched the wireless Cp/AA app.

I recently got myself the PICASOU 2 and am trying to use it in an e tron. I had and still have regular issue regarding the connectivity. The connectivity between my Iphone and the PICASOU 2 seems completely fine, whereas the connectivity between the car and PICASOU 2 isn't stable at all. I often find myself unplugging and plugging the USB-C back into the car - sometimes it works, sometimes I even gotta turn the car off and on again.
I still had high hopes for the device and hence downloaded the software update (the zip file from the official google drive link provided by Ottocast - EAU 230607 - onto a MicroSD) thinking it would fix all of my issues. Little did I know, had I found myself in another pickle, where the PICASOU 2 would never endingly continue flashing blue after clicking on ''Install'' when the update detection prompt would pop up. The MMI screen of my e tron would just exit carplay (and PICASOU 2 Multiplay) and never return back to the Ottocast on-board screen (while simultaneously, the blue flashing light would continue).
I also have an issue regarding the SIM card I had gotten specifically for the PICASOU 2. It just tells me that I have no internet connection at all, even though I had tested it out on another phone where it worked completely fine. At first I believed that it was linked to the software update but now I'm starting to think that this problem is way beyond just the update :/
Do you maybe know what I should do/try in my situation? Maybe, you think that the PICASOU 2 I have is the unfortunate one out of thousands?
I would highly appreciate some assistance! Ive gone through too much stress and too many methods of trying to solve this, since I was crazily excited about this device.

Sorry to hear you’ve been having problems. I would say the first issue sounds like compatibility with the etron and the adapter that only updates from the team would be able to fix. Letting them know of the issue would be a start to get it working. Also try a different cable, a decent 3.1 cable that does power and data, as some do come with poor cables. Many adapters do struggle with the Audi/BMW systems so it’s easy to assume the problems you face is compatibility. Trying the adapter in a different brand of CarPlay vehicle would tell you if that’s the case.
As for the SIM that’s a tricky one also as it could be that if it’s never worked that the adapter you bought was for a different region and it may not work in your region. Again, testing a different sim would tell you if it’s the sim or network provider or contract setup for it. It could be a number of things there, but the easy test is to try other phone sims with a data plan to see if any others work and if they do ask yourself why, what’s different.
If you’re within your return window maybe also consider returning and trying a different brand. As it might just be this adapter/brand doesn’t work well with etron systems.
I'm confused. Can you use your phone data to watch UA-cam and Netflix. I don't think my phone allowes hotspot.
Also does it allow split screen. I want to be able to use maps and UA-cam at the same time. Or is there a better option.
Yes you can use either your phone hotspot, a data SIM or connect to another Wi-Fi source like one in a car or a MiFi device.
Most of these offer split screen mode.
This is one of the better AI Boxes out there right now. But new releases are very rapid at the moment.

I have a WiFi hotspot in the car, i can also use my phone as a hotspot. Or is the only way to make them both work is if the picasou had a SIM card. Thank you!

BMWs are tricky to work with I hear. Especially ones that have wireless connections only. Best ask their support team for confirmation before buying.
1 second delay for phone call audio sounds really bad. In that case do you just connect the phone to the car’s Bluetooth instead?
Yes you could do that but any incoming calls whilst using AA or CP will use that instead.
My MG6 has Car Play installed but does not have the Android application. Would Picasou 2 work the same in other countries other than the USA or Europe?
Yes I’m sure it would work. Country specific only comes into play when using SIM cards with it.
I bought the A2-Air, works great and it’s only $129
The A2 is for wireless Android auto only. It’s not quite the same adapter as this.

at video point 2:52, how do you get the Open Weather on the Top right corner? I have Picasou 2 Pro and am not able to Change Location or the Weather ... forever stay in Shenzhen China. I have requested many times from Ottocast Support and they give me the run a round. I have updated the Firmware but have used every means I can think of and have not been able to use the Ottocast Weather App to report my location in New York State or the weather here. Must be a missing step or maybe I need "The Cloud" which I do not have. I have WiFi Internet, BlueTooth, and a WiFi Hotspot. Not using a SIM card or the Cloud. Ottocast Support mentioned the Weather Server but where is that with the Ottocast Picasou 2 Pro. Please help.
It should work once you connect the internet. Or check locations settings is set correctly.
I’m just trying to be able to watch Netflix/UA-cam while driving or while on break at work. Is there something I can use for this that doesn’t need any Wi-Fi?
Both Netflix and youtube are online video streaming services, so I don't understand how else you think you will be able to stream their content without wifi? You can download content to the AI Box to access 'offline', or you use mobile data from a hotspot on your device, but this still needs wifi between your phone and the dongle.

They all work this way. Wireless CarPlay needs Wi-Fi, so with just one connection to the adapter it will knock out the availing to share internet with the adapter for android apps. Only way around this is to use a SIM for the android apps.
How do you get a data sim card for this box? Can I get a tablet data plan from my carrier? I think they will require an IMEI, does this unit have one? I appreciate the help.

Yes I think that’s possible. Never tried it though but the options for hotspot is there in the menus

Use the HDMI Out on the Picasou 2, Picasou 2 Pro, or the newest device P3. Note that Picasou 2 Pro has a HDMI Input which I use for my Amazon TV Fire Stick 4K Max and loving it.
There are advantages and some disadvantages to each device. Pros and Cons. During the Holiday that Ottocast is having 30 percent off and if you use a Code can get another $30 to $50 off. My new Picasou 2 Pro cost me $219 with code SAVE50 this December 2023. I was using U2-X Pro.
Perhaps I missed it but, can you use this device as a Wireless Hotspot too? I would like my DashCam to connect and transmit .
You can with an inserted sim. But you working be able to use wireless CP or AA at the same time I think.
Hey Anthony. I’ve recently purchased one of these and on the whole works well, I do keep getting an issue where I take a phone call, and once the phone call ends the volume won’t change from the phone call volume sign back to the video volume, videos still play but sound is silent and the only fix is to turn the car off and restart the car after a short delay. Generally use to and from work so a bit do a pain having to pull over just to start the device again. Any advice would be great.
Try to ask support for help on this. They may offer an update. It sounds like a compatibility with your system than the dongle itself.

How does this compare against the carlinkit tbox plus?
It’s a little better, it has better WiFi chips, but with the Plus having dual BT support, if you are on a budget the Plus is a solid buy for the money when it’s on sale. My review of the CarLinkit TBox Plus is out this Friday

Yes that should be possible. As long as all these apps are running off the adapter that has this internet connection and Waze isn’t running off the phone via CarPlay

Yea most will not work with CarPlay. Some have been developed for use on Android auto only systems, but none that that I know of are any good. Most don’t quite cut it in terms of reliability and performance than the ones made specifically for CarPlay.
Do the steering wheel buttons work with it? volume, skip forward/back songs, etc. ? and, does UA-cam music play videos on it?
Yes and yes. I found recently the video tab in YTMusic tend to default back to non video at times of manually switching tracks.

It depends on the apps you plan on running on it. Many bigger apps should support v10 for a long time.

The SIM should operate the android apps on the adapter whilst the Wi-Fi fuels wireless CP/AA. Try toggling Wi-Fi and hotspot switches between on and off.

I’m rocking the MIC QC 665 one. My unit is great besides not being able to change the time format to 12hr time. But I have a big issue since I don’t use it with a sim instead I use my built in car Wi-Fi which for some reason sometimes it does not like to connect it connects but does not work with the internet and I have to reset the device. I’m on the fence of cancelling my car’s phone plan and switch to using it with a sim I’m wondering if anyone knows if these devices work with tablet plans because I’ve been looking online and you can get unlimited data for a tablet for under $30 a month or if it has to be a full on phone plan.
I guess as long as you can run data off the sim it should be fine. There should be some 14day cool off period for the contract anyway that you can cancel if it doesn’t work.

Sounds like a unit that might not be compatible in your region. They usually sell EU and US specific adapters so you might have been sold one that’s not for your region of operation

Which AI Box has the best audio chipset for listening to music?
I thought they are pretty much the same. I wouldn’t know personally if ones have better chips in them than others unless you take them apart and know what to look for inside

You can if you run both Waze and Netflix/ UA-cam on the adapter

I've had it running for about a month now. It's good, and I like it, but I still can't connect a Bluetooth gamepad or keyboard. They tell me they are testing changes that should allow that to work.

Pro has HDMI IN and OUT instead of just OUT and USB A media port instead of an SD card slot, mainly.
Oddly with the same software the pro is faster into CP and AA yet the non pro is faster into apps.
How do i get android auto to a car factory radio that doesnt have it.

I cannot get mine to set up a connection on android auto. Works fine on CarPlay but all apps on the android auto open and say no connecting. Am I doing something wrong?

I am using a iPhone and CarPlay works great. But when I switch via the Car app on CarPlay and it moves over to android none of those apps have a connection.

Without an actual USB output port this isn’t possible. You’ll need something like either the Exploter ApplePie Lite, Ottocast U2-X or CarlinKit 4.0 CP2A.

Some of those keyboards require a usb receiver dongle to be inserted, which many adapters don’t have so make sure your keyboard can work without this receiver. Mostly it means making sure it operates over BT and not just over 2.4GHz

@@CarPlayLife HI, I have an UX999 Ultra, and it works OK on my Hyundai, but always when I press START button of car, the UX999 Ultra restart, I guess the system multimedia unpower USBs connections (and no one carplay has battery to keep date, states, etc), My idea is put a little powerbank in parallel to avoid restart the UX999, but I don't find to buy this cable.

They have the MMB 11 which has hdmi. Not many aI boxes have hdmi really and also casting.

You don’t have to. You can use a mobile hotspot from your mobile if you like. You just can’t use wireless CP or AA at the same time. This is the same for all AI Boxes

No there is no EQ app on this Adapter. The MMB Max does have one, and possibly you have some apps that offer it internally in the app, such as Spotify.

Dose it work with Buick Enclave 2011
2011 car will not have wired CarPlay. Unless you replace the system with a CarPlay one these won’t work on it.
How do I use my phone's data connection? When I go to UA-cam it says no connection.
Create a personal hotspot on your phone and connect the adapter to that WiFi network.
@@CarPlayLife I realised this from later in your video; you mentioned wifi and CarPlay can’t be used at the same time. I thought it may be able to use the data connection via Bluetooth.
It's amazing device, very well designed, but too expensive for me. Also it doesn't have Android 11, which is a boomer for me as I use PowerAmp EQ which needs 11 or higher.

That’s something I forgot to show. But it does support split screen as well as PIP modes. You press and hold the home button when inside one app. Pressing and holding the back button toggles multitask app video.
One thing I noticed on this one that didn’t happen as often on others is when in split screen the UA-cam video would remove all the element and leave just the video. Others used to still show all that’s around the video.

Possibly. As long as it has wired CarPlay. Buy from Amazon so you have easy returns

I really just want an AI box that I can swap from wireless CarPlay back to the box and have it join my hotspot on my phone without having to go through all the menus every time. I don’t want to pay for another SIM card. There’s none that make it seamless to swap back and forth that I can find
You’re right. They are all quite clunky. The most seamless I found was the herilary 2in1 adapter.
@@CarPlayLife I tried that one along with like 10 others from Amazon. I did like that one but I hated that I couldn’t install any other apps and that it was locked down to android 8.1. But I might reconsider it if I can’t find anything better. Still going through the round of Amazon buys and returns

It’s 60fps on Device info but it’s locked at 30fps in apps and games when using FPS counter app 🤷🏻♂️
The manufacturer of this hardware really needs to get the slave Bluetooth firmware figured out. The MIC and PICASOU boxes seem to be based on the same base firmware. I have a generic 665 box which came with Hi-Box firmware, which is what the MIC box comes with. I can also install Picasou firmware on it. But they all have problems with the slave Bluetooth. Initially I thought it was a hardware problem but sometimes I can get the Bluetooth to connect and function properly so I don't think that is the case.
When I first install a firmware update and pair my Bluetooth device it will connect and function properly. But after that it starts having problems on subsequent restarts. Sometimes it will think it is connected but doesn't pass data, other times it just doesn't connect. But every once in a while it will connect and function properly.
Unpairing and repairing the device doesn't fix the problem. Clearing the storage/cache on the Bluetooth apps seems to do nothing, my device still shows up as paired. And it will still show up as paired when I do a network reset even though the wi-fi connection data is erased. The only way I have found to wipe it clean is to reinstall the firmware. And the Bluetooth data gets erased even if you don't select wipe data when doing the update. However, the wi-fi data remains intact if you don't select wipe data.
This information really needs to be communicated with the manufacturer that provides the base firmware.
What a shambles. It’s hard to find the original provider of this to tell them this info.
@@CarPlayLifeI noticed that the Picasou, Hi-Box, and Carlinkit 6125 boxes have Doro S10A in the firmware metadata build information. Doro makes cell phones. Perhaps there is a relationship or perhaps it is a coincidence.
Are you guys buying this from Amazon, because i bought two from Amazon and neither works, the 1st work great for 1 week, I returned and got the 2nd yesterday and it want power on at all, also it will kill your car battery, if you don't stop it from running in background when you turn your car off,
Ours came from Ottocast directly. Your experience sounds awful. At least Amazon made it easy for returns.

Make sure the date and time on the adapter is accurate and try again.

Leave it as it is once you’ve set the date. Turning network time can sometimes undo everything and revert back to the wrong date again in my experience 🤷🏻♂️ sometimes manual setting is the best way to assure it doesn’t change.
Amazing! I turned all the auto date and time things off. Other than gps auto update. Then I took the SIM card out. Then I cleared data and caches of play store and play store service’s. Then held the back button to close all apps and everything. Then clicked on play store to open the app and it worked!

Can I use this and just have it use my mobile data? Not via hotspot? Or is there a CarPlay box that does? I can’t seem to find an answer to this. I have 5g unlimited data but my hotspot is only 30g. I believe.
You can insert the sim into these adapters and not have to hotspot to it. That’s the best way to give it internet anyway

@@damonspinelli1352 if you want to do it that way, yes. Ideally the adapter needs its own sim and taking the only one out of your phone each time you want to give the adapter internet via the same SIM card will be awkward.

No it uses Wi-Fi to connect to your android. Your need a sim if you want to use both wireless android auto and internet based android apps installed on the adapter.

Dear customer.
There are only two reasons for random restarts: one is insufficient power supply, so the y line is needed.
The other is the need to adjust the delay mode.
Latency mode is in the settings.
You switch between several modes and see if there is any improvement.

This works for CarPlay systems in the car. It’s a standalone box that doesn’t need an iPhone or Android to work unless you use them to give it an internet connection via mobile hotspot.
CarPlay sound quality still not as good as direct Bluetooth connection. Frustrating!

I was stupid enough to get one. Nothing but problems and constantly freezing.
Ottocast "service" department will play stupid and ask you to jump through hoops and attempt all kinds of things to fix an expensive device that should just work.
Mine constantly freezes within like 5 seconds so i can't do any of their "fixes" nor make a log.
Now Ottocast is doing everything in their power to not have me return it for a refund and i am 100% sure theyll vlaim the package as being "lost" if i do send it to them. You can't insure it properly because they want it shipped back as being a 20 dollar value item. I am currently in contact with american express to have the payment disrupted.

For that price tag I don’t see the point of using such a crap performance device…. you get a brand new 10 inch iPad for 330 dollars that can stay in your car, doing absolutely everything better than this laggy box with an unknown customized android you put your UA-cam, Amazon and co. logins in and run it on the cars mostly creapy panels. Android 10 is 2019…. Come on! It’s garbage on arrival running out of security patches.
It’s more a 99 dollar gadget.
I see your point Henrik, and the experience will be miles better, but there are some issue going that route:
1. Providing it with consistent power. More cables are needed, than simply tucking it away powered from your CarPlay port.
2. Providing the iPad internet. Going cellular is almost about £200 on top. So that already damages the appeal. But without cellular the base iPad has the same issue as the AI box here apart from the iPad has fewer options without a SIM tray in the WiFi iPad. Your only option is to connect to a iPhone hotspot, car WiFi if it has one or MIFI device. Same issues apply here with likely the iPad connection likely being a more seamless experience on its connection.
3. Casting audio to your car speakers. Either yet another cable to your car stereo if it has Aux IN. Or hope the iPad works with your car stereo BT for audio transmit. Most CarPlay vehicles should be an age that also has BT audio. So loosing that audio cable might be more possible here.
4. Security. Sure you can pop an iPad down the back of a seat or in a glove box if it’s big enough. But are you going to do that every time you park up. Having a nice shiny iPad sitting on your centre console will likely more invite theft over an AI box that can’t be seen.
Having a 10” iPad also means you’ll have to find a good mount. magnetic if you want it to be stowed when not in use. It’s likely going to block some buttons of your centre console along with it.
But with multi touch, a better responsive touch input, easy account access and app sync, a higher resolution than most car system displays offer. It’s a nice idea. But some practicalities and integration with a car system do get in the way, making it not an easy or simple replacement to an AI Box.

@@CarPlayLife I have to say... I was just thinking of time waiting for an electric car being loaded. I just connect the iPad with the phone, put it on the steering wheel and watch some Netflix and so on. I leave the car infotainment alone. Sound doesn't really work without disturbing lag, thats fact... at least in my car. So there is no car integration in my vision so far.
For music I stick with the regular apple car play.

Yes and no. Many Ai boxes (low spec ones) have reduced their prices as demand increases and competition grows. They all used to be around $300, this is not the high end tier. In time it will drop for sure as this spec becomes the norm

This company, Ottocast, has the worst customer service and technical support I've ever witnessed. I bought the PICASOU 2 Pro directly from their website. Once I couldn't get any other bluetooth devices to connect to the device, other than my phone, I decided to try to connect a USB bluetooth dongle to it. I contacted them, via email, because it wasn't working. They had no idea what they were talking about. One of my accessory devices required its own PIN number to connect, which I tried, but wasn't working. They told me that the PIN was 0000. 100% incorrect! I asked them how I could enable USB debugging, so that I could connect it to a laptop. They sent me a video, in Chinese, of them doing it on a laptop, NOT from the device. Completely useless.
I finally decided to return the device, but they wouldn't allow me to unless I provided a video of the problem. So, I did. They kept telling me how to fix it. Which didn't work. They wouldn't email me back. (Keep in mind, every email I sent them required a day for a response because they're in a different time zone). So, they don't even honor their 30-day return policy!! An absolute waste of time! I will never order from them again!

Not many of these adapters work well with other BT devices. Some support ODB or remotes but beyond that, such as things like BT controllers, they would struggle or not work at all, in my experience.
If you’re within your return window you could try and chargeback from the Credit card you used.
I have a generic 665 AI box and I also have problems connecting Bluetooth devices other than my phone. Part of the problem is they don't have instructions so you are on your own for figuring out how it works. One of the things I discovered is that you need to change the PIN for the box to the PIN you need to use to pair your device. At least that is how it works with my device which requires a PIN of 1234. My device won't pair unless I change the AI box PIN from 0000 to 1234.
