Comic here too. Yes, this was a fascinating walk through KL. My wife and I have been slow-traveling for a couple of years now, but until now we still had a home base in Texas. We just went full nomad and sold everything but what fits in a 10x10 storage unit. We're starting our full nomad journey along with our two cats in Querétaro Mexico for a couple of months. Thanks to you, Kuala Lumpur has moved up a few notches on our list. It looks amazing!
Hey Kenneth!
Really appreciate the comment and love that you stuck around right to the end of the video. Really appreciate you taking that time out of your day to watch. We are getting interesting input from viewers of this which is helping us decide whether we make this kind of video again.
As we're sure you can imagine, we are juggling lots of different things at the same time at the moment so aren't able to comment as we would like but we wanted you to know that we saw your comment and we have actually sat and discussed all the comments on this particular video so your input has been seen and very highly appreciated!
So thanks again, you are brilliant.

I'm a Brit moving to KL for work in a couple of months, videos like this are making me very excited!!! 😁
My Malaysia is nice , calm, clean n beautiful ... I luv Malaysia
Loved this video, we are visiting KL very soon. Great to see the real city. We have just found your channel a refreshing change from all the 20 somethings, your insights into south east Asia are brilliant for travellers our age.
Loved it!
Been to Kuala Lumpur many times & there is always something new to discover.
Glad you liked it!
Well done Neil, this "experiment/test" is a winner!. I totally agree that the world is a kind place and showing "real life" lets us see that we all have very similar lives. Loved the street art!! Wishing you and Sarah a healthy and adventurous 2023.
Loved the whole thing... noise and all... the real KL...
Whenever we’re somewhere new, a walk through neighbourhoods has always seemed the logical first step in experiencing the culture. It’s my favourite thing. Living it vicariously is the next best thing.
When it's too cold or rainy to walk outdoors I use our treadmill and put on "walking tour" videos, mute them, and listen to music as I walk. It gives me the feel of walking outside when I can't. This video puts me in the mind of those videos. I could see myself walking on the treadmill to it, but to just sit and watch it is a little boring TBH. (beautiful scenery though!) That being said, I look forward to your videos every week and will continue to tune in. It's just become part of my Saturday morning - watch 2GoRoam while I eat breakfast. This one was not my cup of tea, but I still appreciate all the hard work you put into making content for us! 🙂
Thank you for the honest feedback Mel. Absolutely this kind of video will polarise. Obviously these(if we make more) will be the exception rather than the rule.
Amazing!! Love the walkabout vlog. KL has changed immensely. So many more new notable landmarks. I have always love KL and will be there soon. KL my birthplace. Miss you!!
Neil & Sarah....we just signed up for the Patreon based on this segment. We follow you eagerly and are hoping the best for the two of you. Best, Tim & Leslie SF, CA.
From KLCC you can walk to Kampung Baru(local Malay hotspot) through the beautiful Saloma Bridge. Also if you like garden visiting Perdana Botanical Garden is a must, enjoy 🇲🇾
We enjoy the walk-and-talk style videos. You will usually run into some interesting things along the way that you would have normally never noticed in a car or on a moto. The ComicCon looked like a fun even if you're not into these shows. COMIC
Love the walkabout tours. These are priceless for us to plan future trips. Thank You!!!! ❤
Late to the party as usual but enjoyed that Neil. Good effort.
And hats off to people wearing those costumes in that heat and anyone standing down wind of them later on.
Comic, very interesting Neil. Well worth viewing cheers Kim
Comic! Great video. Thanks for making. Watching your entire Malaysia playlist right now.
Yes I was in KL when the comic costumes were in full force , incredible effort from the youngsters.
COMIC - thanks, Neil. Looking forward to upcoming adventures.
Love it! This is one of the important aspects I search for and value highly., thank you!
Great to have a stroll with you though all those interesting streets. Keep it up Neil, I'll be watching!
I have been following you and Sarah since the beginning of your adventures. I was absolutely blown away with the commentating of your scenic walk around Kuala Lumpar. You have the talent to describe your surroundings in a way that tourism officials should be commissioning you to promote the country you are traveling in. Well done Neil and in Canada, we call a "Mall" a Mauull".
Absolutely loved this video! The format is REAL LIFE and that's what we want. Thanks for the effort you've put into creating this!!! We hope you feel better soon and take care of yourself. Sending you both love and appreciation.
Sandy and Norm xx xx xx
Yes!! REAL life - in ALL it's various iterations - the everyday and the high end, thanks!
Love it, always a different vibe in the morning. Most vids never show the spaces between the highlights, brilliant. Keep these coming.
COMIC. Waited a long time to finally watch a vid like this from you. Good to see where you really are and the things going on around you and the local excitement instead of a coffee shop and always discussing financial issues. Great place KL and Malaysia, enjoy.
Hey Kim!

Comic. Yes loved this format . Brilliant narration from you too Neil. Thanks
I like this walk around, it shows those of us stuck home a lot more of the city. Thanks love your videos and slow travel approach.
The back streets show the real city and not just the glossy facade so I prefer it. Thanks for the walk through. My only negative is so few people are shown, so more would be better.
COMIC: Great video on the area loved the ending with the costumes & fun!
Brilliant video! I absolutely enjoyed it.
I love all the street art! What a way to beautify the outside walls of all the buildings. 😊
Comic! I loved the walkabout and of course, the narration always gives us a chuckle. I particularly enjoy the street art, you always find the most fascinating streets to mosey down. Also appreciate how you show the "real" parts of town not just the glitz and glamor of the must-do shiny objects tourist spots. I would like to see more of the bookstore you mentioned and maybe some night shots to see the spectacular lights. Thanks again for another Saturday morning delight!
Hey you two!!!
Over the moon that you enjoyed this. The background to it was that we often look at a place and just don't seem to get the feel from videos. For example, I was interested to know whether it would be walkable from Petaling Street to the twin towers but couldn't get the feel for that before getting to KL so thought I would make our own.
Look forward to talking to you later!!!!
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
I really enjoyed the video. We were there in November via a cruise, so only had 1 day to do some exploring. Nice to see the city from your vantage point. The humidity in that part of the world is crazy! hope your health improves soon.
Loved that walk of KL and your company. All the best to you and your lady!
I wondered why I got 15 followers on instagram last night. 😂 you little leg end Neil 🤙 Cheers for the shout out. I hope you’re still loving Malaysia. This video really brought back some cool memories for me. Gutted I never watched a football match though.
Keep up the good work and as always…safe travels. 👌
By the way, I hope this format works for you because I’m selfish and I like it. 😂
Edit…COMIC 😂
I always comment when I want to say something then I keep on watching and want to say something else…edit…repeat. 😂
Cómic! Enjoyed seeing the fine-grained texture of the city in the off-hours. Thanks for being clear about the format at the start. I also really appreciate your frank comments about the weather and what you would do differently another time. Wishing you well, and looking forward to the next one!

Love the format - thanks! Comic!
Really enjoy your channel and this walking tour. My wife and I go for daily walks of about this length so it was actually quite interesting to simulate a daily routine in a new place. You’re quite the comic, Neil.
Thank you, I love the format. Your channel is "Go Roam" after all. Be well!
COMIC..... Big thumbs up. Really enjoyed the walk, more of that sort of video please. And the tower view amazing! Would love it if you took us into that book shop, the Rex was it? Sounds amazing. Keep having fun you two and enjoy your adventures.
Loved this Neil, we are in Hoi an and just deciding where to go next and loved the tour. Hope you are feeling better🏋️
Neil, I am a little late to the party, but definately liked this type of video. I expect to see you and Sara all dressed up next time at Comic Con.
Great. Looking forward to your next walking tour.
I definitely enjoyed the walking tour. Always look forward to a new video. Best wishes and thanks for doing this.
Comic! Loving whatever you post!
Comic! So amazing to see your walking tour - I only ever drove through KL so it was fab to see how vibrant it is and makes me want to visit!! Can't wait to see your next location! Take care you two xxx
Love it! It is helpful to have insight on navigating the streets and walkways to various points of interest.
Comic, we loved this vid. really gives a feel of the city. Would be great to see more of these in the future. Great stuff!

Loved the walk and chat!
Loved watching this walking tour around KL from beginning to end. I know I have found this video a bit later than it was filmed but thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been to KL a couple of times as a 'health check' tourist but being on my own and having limited time, haven't felt so adventurous. Can't wait to go back and explore some more. Thanks Neill and .... Comic!
I like your mall idea. Not only ball, but call, fall, hall, tall, and wall. Thanks for showing us a streets eye view of Kuala Lumpur.
Comic! Loved the street view walk about. I don't know that I'll ever be able to slow travel, so joining in on this was great.
Fantastic vid , thanks so much . 👍
Love it mate - best time to have a good look around a city. Very interesting and definitely not boring. Love the chat too.
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved the video ~ thanks Neil. It gives us a better sense of seeing the real KL. Hope you will be feeling much better soon
I think this is a great addition to the already great content and insight, and would happily sit and soak up all that your travels have to share. Those towers look immense. Oh, and by the way, COMIC.

I really enjoyed the video & the subjects covered, thank you!👌🏼👏
Love the walkabout style. As an American sometimes we think if things aren't all bright and shiny we don't visit. I love local neighborhoods and the feel of this video to give you a real sense of the area. Always looking to know when video was filmed to know the weather for a particular month. If you do this style would appreciate mentioning what month the video was filmed.
Sorry to hear you're still feeling unwell. Hope they figure things out for you soon. Missing Sarah as well hope she's back in the videos soon.
Safe travels!
Very much enjoyed the walk through KL!
Comic. I enjoyed this format and watched quite happily while sewing. When we arrive at a new destination the first thing we do is get on a hop on hop off bus to familiarise our selves with the city. So this kind of feels a little like that, just from the comfort of home. Well done and appreciate your effort in the extreme humidity.
Comic. i enjoy the walking tour style of chat and video!
Awesome, thank you!
Comic - great tour really enjoyed it!
COMIC! XD Love these videos Neil, please keep 'em coming and take care of yourself. :)

Another Saturday morning coffee with 2GoRoam. ☕️🥯
Hope you enjoy it .... Very different this week.
It was very different this week but we enjoyed it as we would a nice COMIC book. We have yet to visit South East Asia but it is on our radar for fall 2024 so it’s really nice to see it through your lens and get a general feel for the area. As you asked for feedback, I will say that it may have been a tad bit long since the motion on the screen created by walking and looking around can generate a bit of cyber sickness at times. The idea of this type of video can be useful to those who wish to visit the cities you feature so I would continue doing them occasionally, but perhaps you may wish to consider making them a tad bit shorter. 😊
That's great feedback thank you. We would only make this kind of video rarely but also understand regarding video length.
Impressive that you can walk and talk in the heat and humidity. More challenging to also be a comic in those conditions. I couldn’t do it. I’m one of those that enjoys watching videos of routes between two points. Not only shows the glitz and glam, but the grit as well. I’m a fan.
Absolutely love the walk around when its not too busy. Hope you can do more.
Comic - really enjoyed the walk, scenery and information. I did watch it speeded up a little, but that's just me. Thanks again - we really enjoy your videos and they give us so much to think about as we head towards our retirement.. :)

COMIC! Ok.... so much to say, but first a HUGE thank you for taking the time and making the effort. THIS is what I was talking about in yesterday's (Sunday's) wonderful Live Stream. While I very much LOVE to see what Neil and Sarah are personally up to wherever you are in the world, I do love a walk-thru of the area with or without audio comment. The "where" could be typed in at the appropriate spots. I'm sittin' pretty here in my lovely little village of fewer than 500 residents on the Northern Neck of Virginia and I get to see in real-time what others are doing quite a number of time zones away. To me, it's fascinating. I watched to the end because of the perspective it allowed me to have/to change/to re-think. That's what you guys do, without even trying. Again, thank you so much. I'll take you and Sarah any which way. You're like dear friends we've never met but would love to. You're down to earth and I get to live vicariously, which right now.... is a.o.k. (BTW, yesterday Zoom was mentioned, but we've also had great success with Google Meet, which one CAN do on an Apple. Yet another option.) See you guys!
Interesting, enjoyed the video! Great job narrating during the tour of the city. Comic!

We loved the narration during the walk! I am not sure that we watched all of the sights of your walk but maybe that does not matter. You are very good at narrating as you go and that is awesome. I like this every once in a while but perhaps not a steady diet. Take care!
Comic: Really enjoyed this real life look at KL. Also liked you talking whilst walking as it it wasn't boring. Good luck with your travels.
Thanks for the walk around! It's great to see the details of the neighborhood and how far it would take to get from the Robertson to the Petronis tower. Thank you!!
I liked this walking video. I've been to KL but didn't walk your route (mostly drove to be honest as it's so hot!). So I think it's worth doing more of these to give a feel of any new cities you visit. Hope you start feeling better soon.. Oh and Comic!
Excited to be watching!
Ah Susan, that's lovely. Hope you enjoy it.
I watch videos like this, that can go on for an hour, walking around places, these are popular and with your style i.e commentary i am sure it will catch on, well done
I like this kind of video. It shows the good, the bad, and the ugly. It shows not every part of a city is manicured and Instagram perfect. Showing views a person would actually live in is valuable to get a sense of reality.
I quite enjoyed the video walk Neil. I actually like to see the places you visit and things that are there. Hope you’re feeling better real soon Neil, guess Sarah was having a nice quiet sleep in while you were out taking this footage 😜
Comic it is interesting to see what the place feels like. Thank you for making such an effort. Watch out for those cars, and cats Neil.🐈
I like your videos and watch them every week! The tall buildings, graffiti and streets are very appealing for photographing though not the kind of place we would live or vacation. I would make the walk-about videos maybe half the length of time as I found it a little long. I appreciate you sharing all your travel experiences. Stay safe and well. Cheers.
Good walkabout video! I like the street art and seeing some of the shadier parts of town. We've been retired now for half a year and traveling in Mexico. We're on to Ecuador after this. Good to see your videos. I appreciate your sense of humor. Let Sarah know she was missed. :)
Really enjoyed the walk about video and seeing so many of the streets we used to pound. Rob said he now feels home sick and is desperately needing to visit as his tshirts are starting to look a little tired.
Loved the "comic" value added with the "mall".
Not surprisingly they have changed the 3d art at the pavilion... wish you could have seen the cat stepping out of the building when we were there. Will have to see if I have it on my hard drive that are with us.
Hey Reve & Rob!
Pleased you enjoyed it a very different style for us and it gave Sarah a much needed break while I headed out :-)
Funny thing, they had the cat thing at the Pavilion and that was specifically what I looked to capture... as I was shooting, the camera overheated so I missed it by only a few seconds. Damn.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Comic. We loved the extra footage of areas that may otherwise not have been highlighted. The talk is always interesting and entertaining👌. With people being the best part of travel, I think it would be informative to hear from the locals; maybe through interviews? A standard set of illuminating questions for each country would be interesting to highlight the commonalities and differences. Providing temperature would be good for comparison. I saw people in pants everywhere and wandered why, since you were saying it was so humid.
Thank you so much for your videos…we use them to shape our retirement dreams of being retirement nomads👍

Loved the comic -con content at the end I am a nerd and have visited comicon san diego quite a few times, I never thought about planning some travels around tradeshow events that were interesting but I now I am :)_ Cheers!. - D. Sharp
Really enjoyed the video. Maybe keep it to 30 minutes or so but this is a definite like.
Comic, we love the walking tour idea. Keep it up 👍. Your new mic sounded great BTW. Do you have a link for dji? Cheers
Great video! I was going to stay at Traders next week with my wife but instead opted for Wolo...and you walked past both!!! A great walk and love what you and Sarah have given up to travel. Liked and subscribed 😀
Wolo is a very cool building that you can see from everywhere! Hope you have a fabulous time!
Best regards,

I really enjoyed the walk about found it interesting great job from Pete in Australia 👍
Loved watching your walking video. I know that humidity you are talking about it's brutal. Love all your content. You are both always entertaining. ❤️
Great very interesting 😃
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video n for showing your explorations in KL.
Thank you so much.
@@2GoRoam Thank u too. 😁
.loved your video. Do more please.
Absolutely love it
Love the music!!!
Loved the artwork on the buildings! Just a tad long the walkabout but, not a bad way to share what you're experiencing first-hand.
Great video, such a good way to see a neighbourhood before everyone is awake. K L is such a crazy busy place. Waste of time doing Hop on Hop off bus. It was quicker to walk.
😘😘💕
I hope you and Sarah are feeling better soon. COMIC
Great video sir! I wouldn't make everyone of your videos in this format as the majority of your videos offer tremendous value, but a couple of these with each of your stays are great to get a true feel of a place. Not to say this doesn't offer value but it is more of a casual format than normal, though I did like the compilation at the end so it wasn't all strictly your walking with the camera. That and breaking it up with the football game was a nice touch.
There is a UA-camr I believe out of the NYC area who does similar videos that are 100% walkthroughs. I ran into his channel looking up information in my home state for Fort Wayne Indiana and through his video got to see a lot of the changes done since my last time there in 1988. You seem to have better camera equipment than he does too, one can sense the bounce in his walk a little more in his than in this one.
It will be exciting if someday we can use technology to convey things like smells and humidity. I won't hold my breath! Yet you actually conveyed the heat and humidity by mentioning how your camera equipment kept overheating.
And how you pronounce mall is your choice, One of those language quirks though as rhotic as most English pronunciation is one would think that you would say mall with an even deeper o sound. It's like when Brits pronounce my home state of Indiana like Indianer and not Indianah, ha!
Enjoy the heat for us in the Midwest, Chicago has been warmer than normal but still cold but not cold enough for much snow. We got to enjoy that last weekend when we moved our daughter up to Minneapolis where they had 16 in of snow and one morning down to zero. Granted she got used to it living in Duluth for a year where the extremes are a little bit more. She can have it I'll keep my Chicago "heat" thanks. Have a great weekend!
Thank you Tim, pleased you enjoy it. If we continue to make these, they won't be all that often, just if we are somewhere interesting to share in a walkabout form.
Really appreciate your perspective and also your view on the cold.... we get that ;-)
We often watch walking videos on UA-cam before and after our travels to a holiday destination, most of them with just the street noise and odd street name or point of interest popping up on screen. Loved your walking video but in particular loved your rolling commentary, open honest and with the odd recommendation along the way. Would love to see more like this on your travels.
Thanks for the walkthrough the heart of KL tour. That’s where first come into the world half a century ago at the Chinese Maternal hospital opposite of where you stayed.
I liked your walkabout video. Gives a neat impression of a city COMIC :)

Comic. Hey Neil, I wish I were walking those streets with you. I suppose this was the next best thing. I think videos like this can be very useful as it gives the viewer a more accurate feel for a place. I think it would be good to continue to place these types of videos into the mix.
