Mankav Kalam is a homestay by the tour company called Moksha Stories. A bunch of youngsters left their job and started a homestay with a view to preserve our culture and art forms to exhibit it in front of the world. To show everyone that it can be preserved and the ways to preserve it.
The good thing about this homestay is that they kept the place as it is to give a real experience of staying in a Palakkad traditional house (tharavadu) to the tourists.
There are plenty of opportunities associated with this kind of traditional house but many are not aware of it.

Fb ഇൽ pic കണ്ടപ്പോൾ പോകാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച വീട് 🥰. ഇലുമ്പിപുളി കണ്ടപ്പോ വായിൽ കപ്പലോടി. പിന്നെ ആ സ്വിച്ച്, convent hostel life ഓർമിപ്പിച്ചു..... ചിലപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും അതിനോടൊരു കൊതി തോന്നീട്ടുണ്ട്, രാത്രി ഇരുന്ന് പഠിക്കാനും മൊബൈൽ ചാർജ് ചെയ്യാനും ഒക്കെ... വെറുതെ ആണേലും ഹോസ്റ്റൽ ഇൽ വച്ചു ഇതുപോലുള്ള സ്വിച്ച് ഇൽ നോക്കി ഇരുന്നിട്ടുണ്ട് 😁. ആ വീട്ടിൽ കണ്ടത് പോലെ ഒരു കസേരയും മേശയും ആണ് ഞാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. എന്റെ വല്യചാച്ചൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നത്. മേശക്കുള്ളിൽ പഴയ മലയാളം ലിപിയിൽ അക്കങ്ങൾ എഴുതിയ ഒരു പുസ്തകവും.....
