So recently I got my hair braided at a children’s hair salon and you have to be under 17 in order to get your hair done there... I told the hairdresser that I was 16 when in reality I’m 20 and she believed me 😭
Yup, I was making this account at 15 and said I was 25 that was way back in *old UA-cam* when you had personal pages similar to Myspace. Honestly all the sites back then made you sign agreements saying you are 13+ years or 18+. I *_always_* lied and said I was of age.
When Adrienne said Okay!!! All can do all things through Christ who strengthens me❤️❤️ I may not know how to do what they ask at the time, but Ima learn how!!
Right! Stop with the BS. Get real. It's a joy to get older and HOPEFULLY gain knowledge, experience and wisdom. Who just wants to stay their 25 yo selves?
yeah, i went to college a bit later in life. I fooled my classmates and they thought I was 19 the entire time! The last day I let them know I was actually 25 and showed them my ID 😂

When I was a young teenager I would lie about my age, it was always about a boy that I liked.😆 I would lie about being two years older. I don’t know how but my lie would Always be found out!!! After a few times of that happening plus I wasn’t a good liar I stopped lying about my age. After all Honesty is the best policy!
I find the show is missing a lot of opportunities to address some real issues that affect women. When discussing whether you've lied about your age, instead of only touching on the silly, or fluffy aspects of it, also discuss the issue of ageism for women. Many women feel the need to lie about their age because youth is valued more than experience. A woman in her 30s is not considered as bankable as her younger counterpart so she feels the pressure to say she's younger especially when she's entering a new industry. And let's be honest, not everyone makes it big in their 20s. Next time, get to the meat of the issue and don't just scrape the surface.
I'm in love with Tamera's outfit, hair, makeup, accessories, everything. . .but what did her story have to do with lying about her age? She just made up that she could double dutch.
@@meanpplsuck37 yes just a couple years nothing too crazy. My lifelong friends know how old I am, it generally people I met in my 20's and 30's who received the edited version of my age....lol

it’s kinda a thing in our society, a woman’s value is seen to go down as she ages. be it in beauty or natural terms, we see it allllll the time. men who start growing grey hair are called “silver foxes” etc etc, while women are pressured to dye their hair. the beauty industry has only perpetuated that with the push of millions of anti aging products and procedures. so it’s really not that strange that a lot of women feel like they have to lie, it’s just a shame.
