+1 for kora. I started doing microneedIIing since it started 12 or so years ago. Nobody believe I am 55. They all say I am in my late 30's or early 40's. I assume it works so well because when we get older, our skin gets thinner therefore creating wrinkIes. But the wounding kept my skin still thick and youthful. Still wearing makeup though haha

We lost her suddenly a couple years ago after she had a fall. People I knew would ask me if I was OK or if I was "ready " when they saw me without makeup. Finally one day I pointed to all of the men standing around me and said "none of them have makeup on. @@Reader24987 Fixing your face should be something creative and fun that makes you feel good. If it feels like work, don't do it. If you stopped wearing it more regularly, I swear your students wouldn't ask about it anymore. People will really only react when you stop wearing makeup, if you've always worn it around them. 'Cause when you suddenly stop, it just throws them off since they've literally never seen what your face looks like without it (sometimes they just know that you look different and may not even know why)! Also, I swear your skin has to kinda get used to not having makeup on too. 'Cause, at first, you might look a little bit pale, which is why people will ask if you're sick. If you really wanna stop wearing makeup, just gradually start cutting out makeup steps and people will be much less likely to make any comment about it 'cause it won't be this sudden change in your appearance that seems to come out of nowhere. I have always vacillated between extreme poles of heavy and very light makeup looks so, people have never commented on the days that I'm only wearing mascara and lip balm 'cause me not having a full face is not something anyone flags as particularly weird. I, actually, tried cutting out my foundation for a month and just wore an illuminating moisturizer with some setting powder on top ('cause my skin is very oily) and, literally, no one said a word to me about it.

Natural beauty? I can't believe I'm reading this. She gets just as much work done as Madonna, just more subtly. The woman hasn't got a single wrinkle ffs! I'm 39 and have far more wrinkles and sagging than her.
Makeup isn't what causes unrealistic beauty standards! It's the surgery, laser treatments, botox, fillers and filters on pictures, etc. - all of which Anderson embraces. No make up is a marketing tool to make older women who can't afford those treatments feel even more shit about themselves.
Makeup is the one affordable and risk free way of making the best of yourself. It certainly cheers me up to apply a bit of mascara and lippy for a night out. Now we have the rich look upon makeup use with disdain... either you're a 'natural' beauty or you're not....well there is nothing natural about any of the women in the public eye who experience no wrinkles and no sagging after the age of 40....THAT is what's unnatural.
I'll embrace the first woman in Hollywood to embrace natural aging and talk about how looking her age has affected her career - perhaps then things might begin to change. She'll be my heroine, not a woman who's had countless facelifts, so much filler and botox she can barely move her face, and then just because she puts down the lippy has the audacity to tell young impressionable women she's all natural!
No makeup is a marketing tool and appears to have worked. Ironically, I believe Anderson was more authentic when she embraced her Dolly Parton look.

Make up is fun, creative and beautiful when done well. it accentuates the eyes. You feel good afterwards. When I go out to dinner, I like to put on makeup and high heels on .

Those who don't have their breasts enlarged to double size like Pam did, are self-confident! I don't buy this: I'm all natural now (otherwise she wouldn't dye her hair) from her , sorry. Then please be very consistent. Remove the silicone breasts and go with grey hair.

This is something I still struggle with in my 40s. In my case, it was my own mother who told me I should never let anyone see me without makeup when I was a young teen.
It was my prom date who encouraged me to go bare-faced for the first time since I was 13. When my mother saw me, she publicly shamed me & called me weak for “allowing a man to change” me. I told her it was freeing and she told me I looked ugly. I didn’t stop being called ugly until I started avoiding my family & the people I grew up with.
I even modeled briefly in my late teens but I couldn’t handle being looked at and judged any more than I already was by my family.
I’m not sure I’ll ever feel attractive, as there are decades of trauma related to my body. I learned long ago to focus on true beauty, which has always been internal. I’m disabled now and while life is full of pain & illness, it did free up some mental space for me to accept this vessel in whatever form it takes.
Going bare…maybe one day it won’t feel like I’m absolutely naked.

Good on you ladies. I’m a 62 year old widower and I’ve always wondered why women spent so much time putting on makeup. My late wife did, but just the very basic foundation(?) because after years I convinced her that she was beautiful without makeup, and she was.

Stick to what you know. Is personal preference of a woman wear makeup. Not for somebody to tell them how to feel at what they feel that you should be looking like with or without it.

Do you have a problem with that too? Particularly, since they're not Married to Pamela. The audience also showed approval of Pamela not wearing make-up - by applauding. Was that wrong?

You've "always wondered why"?😫My gosh, surely you cannot be unaware of how the media and culture around us browbeats women into believing that they cannot possibly be attractive without makeup. It is legitimately a kind of brainwashing, fueled by power dynamics and greed.

Here’s the thing. Makeup is a luxury. Many 3rd world countries women have been makeup free birth thru death. So why are we celebrating Pam? Nobody forces us to wear makeup. Most women look astoundingly beautiful with no makeup. Comments here act like what’s she’s doing is mind blowing. Then there’s women who went completely gray to liberate themselves. I’m sorry but I’m in my 60’s and color my hair and wear makeup.. I’m not dead yet & I choose not to look like I am. We can celebrate BOTH.

THANK YOU!! I don't understand why in the world she is receiving praise. Also, she objectified women her entire career. Now that age caught up to her, as it does and will with all of us, why does she get celebrated for something that countless women do everyday, as you mentioned.

I get what you are saying and agree to a certain extent. You’re right, There are a lot of women who don’t wear make up but the REALITY is society, social media etc….only glorify women who looks a certain way…..full face make up, slim, fake tits and ass, So it is huge for someone like Pamela Anderson who has been in spot light for years, who’s been seen as this baywatch beauty and huge sex symbol, to come out with no make up. Why? Because a lot of young women and younger generation, and even older ladies also, who often times try to imitate and live up to these standards, who get down and depressed because they don’t look like these models, who are dying trying to have surgeries to enhance their face and figures, can see that it’s NOT REAL! Like Pam said, these are “characters” she was displaying to the public. It’s not what they look like on a daily basis. So I think it’s great for these ladies to reveal this. Yes you may be and have been make up free your whole life but you’re not rich and famous or in the spot light. This unfortunately is what a lot of peop want, the fame the money, and to be recognize and they seem to think you have to look a certain way to be noticed or “desired” and I just loved that peop like Pam is saying that’s enough! We are still beautiful and valuable with out all that extra!

I love that Pamela Anderson is embracing her natural visage. It doesn't look like she's had filler done, either, and her face looks all the more beautiful for it. We should celebrate all the season of our lives and not live in denial of the passage of time. There is beauty in EVERY woman in EVERY season of her life.
