Congrats!! Shes such a beautiful baby! I got shiny cyndaquil in heartgold with resetting the starters. I really wanted a chikorita but ill get one eventually.
Masuda method (parents from different countries) Gives you 1/1635 odds. It does take some patience but at least you only hatch what you want and you don’t run the risk of phases because you have 1/3 odds of getting the starter you want. Best of luck getting your shiny pear!🍐
I was doing both. At least with Masuda method your odds are reduced to 1/1635 and eliminates the 1/3 odds for resetting the 3 starters. I got 2 cyndaquil and a totodile with the starter soft resetting. The problem I think I was facing is (and granted this is a theory) when you put the eggs in, the game partly predetermines the number of eggs you must hatch to get the shiny. (I know it does the shiny roll every time an egg is generated) but I hatched a shiny horsea in only 211 eggs. I put my meganium and JPN ditto back in and badda-boom-bada-bing! shiny chikorita in only 97 eggs.
