there actually IS a diffefrence between using an action replay and the cute charm glitch, that being the cute charm shinies can be moved to pokemon home while the action replay ones cant 🤗
As someone with a job and adult responsibilities my time is valuable but i action replayed a shiny kyogre in my heart gold and it transfers all the way up so
Unless there is something illegal with the Pokémon, like its met location, there is no way to tell the difference between hacked and legit Pokémon. And the Nintendo hack checks are even worse.
My Pokeradar luck is wild. I was hunting shinx and got a shiny on a chain of 11, a chain of 14, and a chain of 23 without breaking the chain. This was all in the span of 30 minutes
@@creamthephoenix it’s a blast honestly because there’s still hunts that take time and effort but you’re not wasting your life away for a shiny living dex, but it wasn’t fast either it took me a couple months to catch all the Pokémon affected by the cute charm glitch with the different swarms, poke radar and trophy garden pokemon.
I've got cute charm going on 2 HG, 1SS, and 1 pt so far, with the TID of 00200 and 00900 and I love them to death. the replay value cute charm gives these games is insane, I don't think I've ever had this much fun playing gen4 and it's one of my fave gens!
Okay first of all, fantastic video! They’ve been super entertaining and fun to watch, glad to be here before 1000 hehe. As for my favourite shiny hunting method… I’ve been hunting for YEARS and tried a lot of hunts, I think my favourite might ironically be soft resetting for shiny starters in HGSS! I’m hunting all three (and hoping to phase with a Cyndaquil for a Hisuian Typhlosion) and I’m double hunting with two DS systems, these encounters are lightning fast and you get essentially 3 checks per reset so it’s an engaging hunt. Other than that, I really enjoy hunting in Legends Arceus, I think the odds are a bit bonkers but it’s really fun to fill out dex pages. As for my least favourite hunt… my shiny Magikarp in BDSP for my nosgalgia team quest (same met locations as my original Platinum team), which took over 50 hours, and *many months* to complete. I know that it’s probably one of the slowest ways of hunting a Magikarp given things like events and chain fishing exist but… at least it’s special this way. Lol. Finally I’m free from “Not even a nibble…”, I went slightly insane over the course of it.
Got the luckiest shiny ever last night. It was my white whale. Shiny Giratina, soft reset method. I didn't count, but I did the math afterward and realized I encountered it sub 120 resets.
I like your Cave Story wallpaper Course the video was great too! Like, really REALLY great. You’re one of the least dry and honestly most entertaining poketubers I’ve come across! Even though I’ve known about Cute Charm for years, I still wanted to stay along for the ride lol
The Pokeradar was such BS, that I ended up using my modded 3ds to dump my save, transferring my save to an emulator, and using savestates so I don't break my chain. Now I can get a ton of guaranteed shinies from both Pokemon Platinum and Pokemon X 😆 The best part is if you save state before you enter the shiny patch, you can get unlimited amounts of the shiny pokemon, and if you advance the rng before running into the patch, you can make them completely different from each other. I used this trick to get a dozen shiny dunsparce that evolve into three segment dudunsparce in Pokemon Violet 😄
The cute charm glitch always seemed cool to me until I finally got it set up a week ago. The amount of shinies I found before the first badge was ridiculous, but with how common they become it's almost boring.
For the masuda method, In actual games that allows you to have more save files on the nintendo switch, If I made a Japanese language file, and transfer a pokémon to my English file, the pokémon can actually work for the masuda method? Or the pokémon needs to be from a game from another country?
Good question! Probably not as the switch itself has a region. If you somehow modded the switchs region and caught a ditto with that one, then modded your region back and traded the ditto then it MIGHT work :)
My favorite method of shiny acquisition is going online and just asking for one. So many people play pokemon, the statistics are in your favor. Who has time to hunt the traditional way? Fuck, who has time to set up glitches? Crowd source that shit. Yay internet. Im dead inside.
I still don’t get why people would put the effort into forcing a glitch to happen to get shinies instead of directly cheating them or getting them legit
@@whitedragonzerureusu4480 so you say indirectly manipulating the Chance you have to get a shiny is different from directly manipulating it/directly cheating the entire thing?

Damn i had to get all the way up to 40 but I also got 3 in one chain 😊
11:40 I feel called out because that is exactly what I did to get my shiny Giratina recently as my first shiny hunt
I did a full playthrough with Cute Charm filling out the Pokedex with shinys as best I could! I think the best one I got was a Togepi
same I just finished my cute charm dex a few months back my favorite one is heatran just because its silly you can manip it
i was thinking of doing this! sounds like a lot of fun!

Uhuh i may or may not have spent 200+ hours for my shiny giratina to drop the game afterwards 😂
There is no way Crumb just said American is a different language to English
under 1k club! I use the cute charm thing in my soul silver carr shits great
what about hgss? how i get more chance ot get shiny
How do you download the stuff to do the glitch ive tried looking for videos on how to do it but i cant find anything on it
Can u do a vid like this for Alpha Sapphire ? Plz 😢maybe for the starter too.
I caught a shiny unknown so i should be able to catch more shinys correct since i Lready caught 1 ???
Can something like this be done on emulators?
Yes i caught a shiny pokemon on a emulator without trying it was a gold graveler
I know your trainer ID, now imma steal your identity and you won't exist anymore!
Do chain fishing next plz those chances were crazy
will do!
you can do cute charm glitch on pokemon dpp
Can do one a 3ds?
I agree with you subscribed
I had caught shinx with 48 chains and starly with 59 chains it is easy man unless you know the matrix behind radar chaining

just the fact that people have found this out to me is fascinating. its fun to pull off, and doing a full run of it was really fun
@@creamthephoenixyou can also trade them to home as those are "legit" shinies
Maybe it's because cheating is bad? Only the Pokemon community thinks cheating is ok to do.
