If you take supplements or medications, it might be a good idea to track those on a daily basis, and track which ones you take on which days, and if there were any skipped doses. Sometimes skipping a supp/med can cause symptoms.

Hello! Would like to suggest that you add weather as part of what you’re tracking daily. For example, windy conditions could make your eyes drier and raynaud’s in toes increases in colder conditions.

Great point!! I’ll have to keep this in mind for my wellness planner if I make one, I have horrible ADHD and so it makes it hard to implement things like this and actually keep up with it. I also have several chronic illnesses that exacerbate other symptoms too so it’s a daily battle just trying to survive honestly. I have nearly burnt my moms house down 5 times just from forgetting to turn the stove/oven off, I also single handily nearly flooded my grandpas bathroom from my damn IBS-C clean out 😵 sorry if that’s too tmi but my lord is it a struggle 😂

I am adding a wellness section to my planner. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in the fall of 2022 and I am currently cancer free as they were able to remove tumors during surgery in Feb 2023, I am g having my breast reconstructive surgery in July and will need to track my medications and my symptoms for my thyroid.

I use an elmer's repositional glue stick. It holds unless you pull them back apart without damaging anything. My "habit trackers" are pretty much diagnosed illnesses, symptoms, medications (prescription and otc), non-medication relief items, and habits to help with those issues. I draw it out on 3 pages of spreads for my planners. Then on my weekly spreads I mwke sure to keep sections for my dietary intake and notes if necessary.
The migraine tracking is mild in my planner, but my app tracks way more for those. Heck, my therapist had me adding possible options to see if we could find a link he could help with or not as I set insanely high standards for myself 2x or more than what I think anyone else should do. It's a case of knowing my abilities and setting crazy pushes verses not expecting anyone else to give themselves my anxiety issues, aka others can be normal humans while I beat myself up for not being more than human for no logical reason.
I run on Sunday start weeks so I make Sunday a red S and red date with a darker line to break up the weeks so it's easier for me to find my date as I go down the page. I put a highlighted row between categories since mine are all white. Again that just mzkes it easier for me to stay in line. What I have found over the last year and a half is a lot of symptoms don't really show anything specific. But I refuse to remove things like chest pain since I have now hit the age where heart attacks are common in our family to go with the anxiety, panic attacks, reflux, and colitis that can all cause it too. The last 6 months it was anxiety, stress, and panic attacks according to all cardiology tests completed, but the specialist is all the one my parents use so he understands with fsmily history I wanted to cover all bases rather than risk missing that.
Hair loss can be really low Vitamin D, as I was in the single digits when it is supposed to be at least 30. Even with prescription D2 and otc D3, it can be a struggle to keep mine up since I had the virus that shall not be named. It does fill back in though. I even got one of the lights and practically lived under it during the day when possible.
I even have a google spreadsheet I fill in after the month to keep it together for dr visits without having to carry it all around.

Thank you for posting this. Talk about perfect timing. I an adding a wellness planner in to mine. I have always had the best of intentions, even set a few up in the past but just never stuck with it. Consistency and commitment no a strong point for me. But recently colon cancer and liver problems have totally changed things. Now I need to figure out something to plan and keep track of health things for appointments with my health care team. So much to keep track of an already bonkers ADD brain.

For sleeping tracking, I like to note the time I went to bed and woke up when I wake up in the mornings. Then figure out how many hours that is.

I use a wellness planner, and I track to see if I have any POST menopause symptoms because there's a lot! I've researched the symptoms and made a list of what to look out for. I also researched things that women over 50 should watch out for healthwise. Osteoporosis is high on that list. My body isn't as young as it used to be. It's a good idea to keep track. I have all of my levels checked every year and add new ones as well. If I'm low on anything, I add supplements or change my diet. I take B12, B2, C, D, and Bioflex. I just added a skin, nail, and hair vitamin. I want to get a bone density test. I'm going to research that next to see what it intels.

I track my Apple Watch stats; what I did for a workout that day, and my hrv average. I have an app that uses your Apple Watch to track your stress level using your heart rate variance and it even alerts you when you are more stressed so you can do something like slow down or do a breathing exercise or something. I think it’s called “Al Stress” I highly recommend it. I’m trying to track my workout improvements as well as what is affecting my stress levels. I also track my running splits (which if you aren’t a runner is how fast you run each mile) to try and see improvement there as well.

Many here has said about weather tracking and I think that is a good point, people always laugh at me when I tell that I feel it in my joints when rain is coming. That’s when I feel sick overall my body, there is pain and fatique, and I’m cold inside no matter temperature.

What a great idea! Good Luck with Tracking. I don't use a Wellness Planner. I should!

  • @ReneesZooTube
    @ReneesZooTube Рік тому +4

On the checklist, I'd definitely do the dates across the top and the symptoms on the list down the side. Much easier to read.
Looking at your symptoms list, looks a lot like EDS, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which is connective tissue issues. If you haven't been evaluated for that yet, you may consider bringing it up with your doctor.
Also, if you haven't tried them, B12 injections may be helpful too. Not everyone can digest/absorb the oral versions. I actually have to take both, oral/sublingual and I do B12 injections 3-4 times a week at home. I give them to myself. They've made a HUGE difference with my pain and nerve issues.
I wish you all the best in trying to figure things out. I've dealt with chronic health issues for over 20 years now and I'm FINALLY having improvements with an integrative functional medicine doctor. I spent a couple years symptom tracking and it was really helpful. I also found out I have a TON of food intolerances/allergies that contributed so much to my symptoms. Getting the blood test for those really helped me figure things out. There ended up being way too many for a feasible elimination diet trial (and error) to figure it all out.

Adding onto this (mostly for Mary Ellen but you may get use out of this too): you can also have a methylation problem with B12, and there are supplements available that are pre-methylated. The blood test for it is the Hyperhomocysteinemia (MTHFR) Genotyping, which tests for two mutations: C677T and A1298C. The former is the worst of the two, but having both means it’s more severe

Stress and trauma along with many life changes in your circumstances are silent killers and metaphysically they can cause numerous unexplained symptoms in your body.
I believe at times we don’t give life events enough credit as to what it can do to us our bodies and mind because we are programmed to cope and keep going when life just deals us a shitty hand over and over.
Believe me I try and be positive or see the best in everything but it’s hard going, it’s ok to sign out for a bit and be angry mad or shitty and the circumstances have a I call it a “Debbie downer moment” take a day just to be absent then the next day we are back on the horse pushing away again.
It does me wonders both mentally physically and it’s ok to say stop.
Remember to listen to your mind and body and it’s needs as it’s telling u what it needs.
I’m also a perfectionist, Amal or what ever you need to label it but I’ve had to let go a bit to cope. Now I realise it’s ok and it helps me. But I love this video u r doing I need the same thing thank you

I LOVE this MaryEllen! I have tried so many ways to do stuff like this. My most recent project was purchasing a TAS B6 planner from the Angel Shoppe. It is a great planner, but not for tracking symptoms like I intended to use it for. I use a pocket TN daily as my edc. One of the three books in there is a full year or more of undated monthly tracking spreads similar to the teacher name list one. I use it to write all my medications on the left, and each day I put a check when I take them. However, I do want to track symptoms. I may purchase this planner if it is still in stock. I have already purchased so much already. ugh lol One idea I have that you could add to track daily on the weekly pages is daily meditation, or mindfulness, or being present. Anyone of those, or all three in one. They all sort of go together. I think a great starting point, or even a good place to be is to take a full minute every say two hours and just sit and close your eyes and take in a deep full breath, hold, slowly let out thru you mouth, repeat. I may add this in as well. I have learned this technique of breathing really helps my anxiety, and truly lowers my heart rate. I look forward to seeing your future wellness videos! Have a GREAT time in Japan! I went there when I was 13 and have always wanted to go back. I have been several other Asian countries as an adult though. I love other cultures. I hope to hear about it!

I love this so much! I wish I knew I would take the time to use something like this and I would make the same thing. I find I use my dashboard layout about 10 minutes a day, once a day, if I'm having a good week, so I know if I make a whole spread like this there's a good chance I'll deem myself 'too busy to use it' in the moment and it'll go to waste.

H… about the supplements…. I have nothing against taking them… I take a few selective ones myself… BUT sometimes when you take more than one, they can build up a certain vitamin or whatever to a toxic level. I know you are pretty savvy about this stuff, but it wouldn’t hurt to purchase a good supplement A-Z reference. I already set up an Expense Tracker just for craft items showing how much and what. WOW! What an eye opener! Now, you have motivated me to set up a monthly Wellness Tracker (just a graph with a fancy header) as well as Wellness Notes pages in case I need to elaborate. I will keep them in my catchall by month. I LOVE the traffic light thing… great visual for spotting a pattern. I appreciate you sharing with us. ❤❤

Thanks for sharing this! I try to keep a wellness / health planner too. I do good one month then completely forget it the next. I definitely need to keep track of things because I’m dealing with a lot of health concern as well as mental health struggles. I’m trying to get a diagnosis but I need to do a better job of keeping track to help me explain what is going on. I don’t decorate mine might start doing a little decoration to maybe help me want to use it more.

Bless you Mary Ellen❣️🤗 Love this video and the wellness tracking set-up!! I currently use 2 planner types for this type of tracking - food, exercise and sleep in one, the other for mood. This would combine all that into one! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Less pages in my planner❣️ I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia back in 2006 after several years of suffering with many seemingly unrelated symptoms. I cried when they put a name to my symptoms, because it wasn’t “just all in my head!” But actually tracking symptoms to activities, to food, to mood is a great idea!!! I keep track but never really put it all together. 🧐 🦓🦋

I hope this helps you and your medical team get to the bottom of some of these symptoms. Do you use a night guard for your jaw pain? It doesn't take away my TMJ pain but it helps lessen my symptoms. I get a lot of morning headaches, jaw pain, clenching and grinding day and night, and I had to stop certain foods. I gave up gum, sticky candy, trying to stop chewing ice, chewy bread like Panera's, etc. I get pain in and around my ears from my TMJ. My PCP has me on D3, fish oil, and a women's multi vitamin. I take extra zinc and vitamin C when I start to feel a cold coming on or my kiddos are sick.

I've been hearing a lot about collagen and gelatin for joint health. I always would get eye twitches during finals week in college. It was guaranteed for me as part of the physical stress.

I enjoyed this video as always. Some people have pain depending on the weather or right before it rains. Ive been researching the carnivore diet and finding out a lot of peoples health and pains improved from eliminating veggies and going carnivore. Which I know seems weird because we're always told to eat vegetables. A lot of the carnivore you tubers say their mental health also improved. Im easing into trying it out.

I need more iron every day
A friend said 1 tab molasses in water
They do give it to horses
Also you may have flare ups if to much fibre in one day
    And maybe can’t have gluten

It may be useful to have the days (initialled) as well as the dates at the top in case particular patterns emerge such as a particular day being worse than others which may link to what you do that day. When you look back you won’t be able to tell the day from the number. I do hope you find sone things that work for you. Thanks for sharing.

I have a condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome in my left arm. Every sensation is painful. I have had since 2009 and have managed to handle some sensations without too much pain. I also have autism and complex PTSD and so I was tracking all this last year but not so much this year. I do track weather (temps today, weather today, tomorrow's temps and the barometric pressure). Next year I plan to use a Wonderland222, which also has tracking. This year I have a Hobonichi Cousin but I need to change a few things. If I ever was going to use a HP, the plan would be to use a teacher planner and use the same pages for tracking and other health related section. Looking forward to September when my new planner comes

Thank you so much for showing this. I totally copied your symptom tracker. We have a lot of the same symptoms. I’ve been using a horizontal mini planner to keep track of my daily major pain. This makes more sense to have a complete overview. I, also, take a ton of supplements and some prescription medication. Are you going to use the same sheet and track these in the same format as for symptoms? If you feel comfortable sharing how you track that, I’d love to see how you do it. Blessings to you.

I see a lot of wave movement with my line charts I am making. If you want to see one, let me know. You know I'll send it to you. Miss chatting with you!

Great ideas, it's always good to keep track of symptoms so that you can show them to your doctors.
I keep meaning to ask, have you ever used pens that have erasers? I have a bunch and find it very helpful when I make mistakes. You probably have but everytime I see you make a mistake I keep thinking "If only she used a pen with an eraser" lol

Awesome as always. So helpful not only for you but all of us too..thanks for sharing... did you want water intake on the list ..how about time in nature.. the symptoms that come and go at our age are so crazy.. hang in there! If you haven’t taken the vitamins and minerals in the past and you are deficient even if not showing up on blood tests.. you will notice when they kick in .. our bodies really are good at healing .. we just need to give them time ..Dr Mindy Peltz was on youtube the diary of a ceo with such good info on the menstrual cycle and what happens but so much other info that is helpful that might give insight to some of your symptoms if interested... i hope you are able to figure these things out and make changes .. thanks for sharing...
