- Hi lovelies,
So this is my first ever UA-cam Vlog and also a bit of a random one!
I really wanted to Vlog (as much as I could) the process of my colonoscopy and gastroscopy! It was a procedure I sincerely wasn't looking forward to! I wanted to share it with you guys, just in case you have to go through something similar so you have something to refer to 💕
As you may know if you follow me on instagram, I suffer from IBS and openly discuss my symptoms as I know lots of you suffer too!
This procedure was to give clarity and shine some light on what may be causing the problems!
If you have any questions feel feel to leave a comment and as usual thanks for the love and sending you all lots of love and positivity back! ✨

Thank you for sharing your experience. Procedures like these can save lives but unfortunately a lot of people don’t attend/say no due to embarrassment. A colonoscopy saved my life as it’s the only way to find the disease I have, I have to have them every few years to check things. Glad yours went well and were manageable. Thank you for spreading awareness! 💗
I was legit still going the toilet til about 5 minutes before my appointment 😂😂😂
Glad that you are OK. Hope that you are feeling better soon.
i'm getting a colonoscopy and gastroscopy on the same day in one week. this is super helpful to help my nerves, thank you!
How did it go? I'm having the same done next month
@@laurieb3703how did yours go? I have a colonoscopy in 2 weeks and I am freaking out
The gastroscopy was worse for me. My throat still hurts and I've been taking pain killers
This was me yesterday but I had the gastroscopy first (Thank God because it was worse) and took painkillers rather than sedation for the colonoscopy.
Thankyou for this helped thru the prep. I just have a slight question my surgery is in a few hours & regret not drinking aa much fluids & clear water to stay hydrated but i just couldnt while drinking the prep. So my question anyone that has experience will that in any way effect after the colonoscopy or waking up from the sedation?
Good luck! You’ll be fine - I defo wasn’t dehydrated and I think that’s due to the fact that you drink so much movi prep drink, so as much as you’re losing a lot of water you’re actually replenishing your stores too I feel. I did wake up from my serration several times. I’d say make it known if you can! I was crying 😭 but honestly you’ll be fine! Good luck and it’ll be over with before you know x
The stress thing was helpful. I didn't know that can cause these issues
I am scheduled for a gastroscopy. I injured my neck a while now and is still sporting a neck brace.
I was booked in for last year but bottled out. The anxiety from it created greater bad side effects than the actual thing I was going for.
I still need one. My tummy hasn't been right for about 2 years. Its always been a little bit sensitive, but at 44 I've never been in hospital, and have this phobia of pipes, tubes, swabs, fingers going in, up and down places they shouldn't . Started counceling for it .
Good luck! Always remember it’s for your greatest good
@@BethDunlavey Thank you. I still haven't done it yet. Starting therapy for my phobia this thursday. Although, I have actually now been a hospital patient for the first time about 3 weeks ago. Had to be rushed in for chest pains. I was ok in the end, but it was my first time as a hospital patient so thats one hurdle done.
When you said the colonoscopy was uncomfortable, do you mean when they pumped you with air, or when they stick it in ?
I had 3 egd’s 1 in 2018 found out I was gluten free than a colonoscopy in 2019 found out I have ibs and dairy free than last year 2 egd’s my esophagus was stretched.
Ive had the one where you get it down the throat. Its not THAT bad, in terms of you think its going to be worse than you think it will be. but the camera is tiny, you swallow food that is bigger. You do/probably will bork/retch. Ask for a seditive too as that helps and it doesnt take long at all xx
glad your okay💞💞
Thank you 😊
Sweeteners in drinks like Diet Coke can cause IBS to flare. Hope you are feeling better.
Yep! I can't drink anything like sugar-free Gatorade or Powerade or anything like that.

hi i just want to ask did you drink your laxative medicine the day before your procedure?
This is so weird for me because you will have a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy but you are drinking the coke even if diet version (let's not forget, coke is coke).
So you didn't have to self isolate after your covid test?
how long did your procedure take? x
I had slight sedation so I can’t remember but I don’t feel like it took more than an hour for both xxx
Beth Dunlavey thank you! where did you get your allergy test done? xx
did you have to stay in the hopsital long before/ after your procedure too
Currently drinking my prep now…🤮❤️🔥🫶🏻🤲🏼🍑
Moviprep is the worst thing ever. Made me feel so unwell
Hopefully you had the gastroscopy first.
