I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

1:53 the reason why their voice is cracking its because they just debut that time as TWICE and its their first time to perform as group with a lot of people so they are kinda nervous
It all reminds me of Adele. She would be mortified of making a mistake and then it happened on the Grammy's with the hardest song she's written. and It wasn't her it was the piano that was to blame but to her... she was mortified. It was her worst nightmare come true. From then on she vowed she'd stop the music and start over. and she did. Thru out her tour that year she stopped the music. tossed a few f-bombs and started over and the audience loved it. Every single time. It was the human side of her that the fans loved and I think all fans of all singers and musicians love that their favorites are flawed human beings. You probably don’t know but if KPOP idols are sick they still are made to pefrorm. Even if they’re injured depending on the injury they are made to perform. The Kpop industry is horrible
But if so, why do you still watch?
Michelle Luong because when we collectively as fans of Kpop find out about the mis treatment we take action. We don’t just sit there and let it happen if a group is being harrassed or abused by their company we as fans step in no matter which fandom you are and stop it. Plus the idols voluntarily signed the contracts, their parents gave permission for them to do this, they also are doing this because they want to be idols, so bad we support them and watch them because that’s their dream. also female western artists are overly sexualised and harrassed why do you still watch them (if you do)

Michelle Luong Thank you it is appreciated. The kpop fandom is actually a really nice place and full of nice people, accepting people from all ethnic backgrounds. You dont get mistreated within your own fandom and other fandoms i really like the environment that we’v got for ourselves. It’s just sadly that 1% of fans who take things too far and too personally. But as an example of the community we’ve created in UA-cam search up
‘Kpop in public’. Tones of fans ether biased fans (Stans only one group) or Multis (who Stan more than one group) come together, practice for dragging hours every week to perform a 4-5 minute song of their chosen artist in public. they all put a heck tone of effort in to it and all the comments in the comments section are all constructive criticism. Another prime example would be, during lockdown i got diagnosed with Cancer, (I am okay my treatment as of yet is only surgery) but i told my online friends within the BTS fandom (Army/Ara) they then spread awareness about cancer within the Amino app and other social media platforms, I had 200 odd people ask if i am okay, 127 check in every day to see if i am okay, i still have roughtly 34 people who still demand an answer as to how i am and if i am okay. I am and i am so happy to be a kpop fan.

@@kai__6488 I know it’s a month old but it is their first stage. Everyone gets nervous when they do something for the first time. It isn’t any different for them. You can’t expect them to be perfect 100% of the time like fucking robots, especially when they were a new group during that time. Imagine telling twice that worked for years that they’re “just a pretty face” disregarding that fact that they suffered their training and sixteen (and don’t say that they should get used to it. Momo should’ve never gotten used to starving herself, eating ice cubes and overworking just to meet the weight requirement to debut). Are you sure that a group with so many successes is “just a pretty face?” Twice is far better at dance than vocals, and their skills as entertainers and dancers back them up. Their “average vocals” can be justified when they’re practicing dancing all the time...they weren’t even a vocal group to begin with. They’re group is marketed as a dance based group.

Taeyeon is the best. People always fail when they try to find her "worst" performances. I love the Tiffany's "MISTEEEEEUAAAAAAAAAAAAA" lol. I miss my girls
Tiffany, if I remember correctly, starting dealing with vocal nodes around the Mr Mr era. That would explain why that particular note is so iffy during their performances. But it seems like she's more nurturing to her vocal cords and to her voice now.

The first girl [Taeyeon] was sick, same with the girl at 2:20 and at 9:20 they were crying. Also at 10:50 she was extremely I think at that point she had had 5 sets of weeks of promotions in about 1.5 years.

Often the idols have to perform/ feel pressured to perform even while they are sick, there has been a lot of cases where they collapse from overworking/ working while they are sick. :(

Since you saw JIMIN twice in this vid, please see - 190504 Speak Yourself Tour LA: Serendipity BTS Jimin Fancam - by JIMIN BCD - I will leave it below in the reply section. The was an excellently made Fancam showing Jimin's breathtakingly amazing vocal, dancing & choreography during their first performance of BTS toure at rosebowl stadium in USA. By the way, the 'worst you saw, when BTS was wearing name tags was mainly a rehearsal to mark where each camera needed to be to zoom in on each member. It wasn't even a dress rehearsal which they always do before the actual performance. The first one was from when BTS was performing back to back continually and JIMIN had severe laryngitis that persisted even when they were on a talk/variety show the next day and everyone made fun of his croaky voice!

Tiffany during mr mr at 2:13 wasn’t a different key she was just stronger. In the first clip she new she wouldn’t hit it so she flipped. The second clip she approached with a fuller sound so she was able to hit it. No lowering or highering(is that a word? Whatever) the key.
She’s also the one singing into the new world ballad at 9:03

Thanks for the reminder that it's okay if feeling bad, emotionally unstable, etc, etc, to not dwell on it and to move on. Because I've been having a lot of trouble avoiding having a break down while singing because my choir director is really passive aggressive toward me and actually lost his temper with me (and I mean telling me to leave kind of loss of temper) a few weeks ago. And now every time I'm in the choir I feel so depressed, and the memories of the night he lost it, his passive aggressiveness, everything comes flooding back. But I'm the lead (and sometimes only) soprano. I can't leave. It's nice to have you, Rebecca, as a friend I can depend on to cheer me up with your positivity, especially now.
Mary, whatever your "director" said or did is inexcusable. When you start to feel the negative energy from him, tap into what it is that makes you passionate enough to even be there. I took what we called in jr and sr highschool. chorus, for 3yrs and loved it but really disliked my chorus teacher. He made fun of boys going thru the change and would get short fused when their voices cracked. He was a dispassionate human with a very cold heart and no authentic passion for teaching people to sing. You had to try out to be in chorus in school so it's not like he was working with students who didn't want to be there. Just remember why you're there. If singing brings you joy, let yourself feel that. and shame on that prick (sorry, bad person) who made you feel that way. Good Luck. xx I'm glad you found Rebecca. She's a gift within a gift.

TWICE were very nervous singing on that stage, they just debuted and of course, it's their first time performing with lots of people world wide watching and they weren't used to that. Jeongyeon, TWICE's most stable vocalist, had a voice crack because she was so nervous at that point. so it's totally reasonable.
Try to react to INFINITE Sungkyu and Woohyun. They are great singers.
Thats how hard being a korean idol, you couldnt cancel any show just because your sick or ill, you need to went through the show even if you felt horrible, thats why a lot of korean idol passed out and collapsing on stage. They also couldnt cancel their concert just because they are ill or tired ,they still have to complete all of the concert and go through all of it with their illness, thats why mostly if their body hurts they sit on their concert and just sing, but if their illness related with their voice then pity them they must sing even if they couldnt sing properly.
Thats why we need to give all the love and support to them so they know that they have a reason to fight all of their hardships as a korean idol 💜

My oldest sibling (sister) was a music major and now has a Doctorate at 68 was classically voice trained for Opera and I have a little bit of background in voice and French Horne when much younger and I SO enjoy and agree with every one of you're reactions I have seen thus far . ;)

i need confirmation on this.. i think they adjusted.. 9:02 "saranghae" part was sung by Fany *alone* .. 9:17 "saranghae" was sung by Sunny(Seohyun was behind her with gray(?) headpiece) then Fany(or was that Taeyeon?) 10:06 took over at the highnote (Hyoyeon behind her in Blue headpiece).
I think, BTS Jimin had more compressors in the second clip. Nothing he did to make it better. I love him though and I'm an ARMY so I'm not picking him out cus he's him. Also, Taeyeon's mix improved ALOT after going solo. Her D5 and E5 is gorgeous. Chen is my EXO bias and it shows why LMAO. TWICE's Jihyo had issues with her mix above B4 and most of their climaxes are above C5.

Yayyyy! Please more KPop (BlackPink, 2ne1, CL, etc.) There are some awesome women vocalists! Park Bom from 2ne1 is said to have one of the most unique voices in KPop. She has a song called Spring that is soooo good. I know you love awesome girl groups and choreography & it’s really amazing how these girls can sing and dance their hearts out (without lip synching.) ❤️❤️❤️
