To be fair it is very hard to place people on a pedestal nowerdays, our society is so advanced/evolved to the point where everyone is incredible at what they do and so the best of the best never has a hierarchy so to speak. They generally have to be bunched together.

BTOB has some CRAZY vocals. I love them so much. Yuju has a beautiful voice. You should look into GFRIEND. They are so so so good. Yuju nails those high notes amazingly. Hyorin has beautiful voice. Ah I love it so much! Seventeen has beautiful vocals on top of some insane dancing (but we're here for vocals but we have to appreciate their dancing for those of us who know it). Astro is just crazy good. Just... stop Astro. Calm down. Infinite is just crazy. We won't go there. Rose's voice is beautiful. I can't comment on every artist since I'm not familiar with all of them but they're all so talented, obviously.

But...he is very diplomatic and gracious in his explanations in trying to explain what's happening and speaking from a place of authority (in subject matter) and yet remaining factual. I was classically trained in college and I completely understand his lingo and I love it. I might be developing a crush but I'm not sure yet lol. Omg. But yeah, his face doesn't lie lol.

Mika Loves You: sure, when done right......but when every group puts one in every song and the one person stops and does the iconic move that indicates that they’re singing the high note, it gets old really quickly. It like Mariah Carey’s whistle note. Hearing it in every song was overkill.

It’d be awesome if you did a video on vocal nodules and how they affect how you sing. A lot of idols have talked about having them and some have talked about having to change the way they were singing because they didn’t have time to recover or have surgery.

Don't know if this is "too late" but the reason their vowels are more uh instead of "oh" is that the vowel o (ㅗ) is VERY much more rounded than ours is. like complete tiny puckered lips o. I can't even think of an english word with the exact o. To sing this vowel entirely that way would sound....very interesting, so they will sort of hop back into a more neutral sound turning ㅗ sometimes into ㅓ which is like the aw in caught KIND OF without having a twang. We also don't use this vowel so.. yeah it's not what they're being taught, they have technically technicalllyyyy 21 vowels, or what they consider to be vowels, and there are sounds that english doesn't have, so it will surely come across. we also have sounds they DON'T, and that kind of "oh" with much wider circumferenced lips isn't natural for them.
I think that is mostly because the original maker of the compilation didn't choose the best clips.... I mean he can't really react to anything more than what he's seeing/hearing and he probably don't know much about Vixx & Leo ^^

Sorry this comment kinda triggered me. Of course all of that is true, but it's not like English or any other language for that matter doesn't have the "uh" sound in a lot of their words. The only true difference is that their vowel is meant to sound the way that it looks. Whereas English can literally be pronounced in anyway and people could still understand. So yes that vowel being in a lot of their words will help them. But a lot of these clips have no meaning with words but are simple vocalizations for the main and lead vocalists to shine and just sing runs of vowels with the most common being the "uh" cause it's easier for them to sing and pronounce and sound good at the same time. I think my essay was kinda pointless cause I just accented all of what you said lol but I wasn't gonna delete all of this hard work lmao

I’m unsure how often you look at comments. I saw one about vocal lessons and I thought of a pretty cool idea. Have subscribers send in a tape of them singing and then pick one or maybe even two or however many your comfortable with and then make videos of you coaching them(pick someone who is a beginner but has potential). Then other subscribers can follow along from a beginners point of view.

Don't know if this is "too late" but the reason their vowels are more uh instead of "oh" is that the vowel o (ㅗ) is VERY much more rounded than ours is. like complete tiny puckered lips o. I can't even think of an english word with the exact o. To sing this vowel entirely that way would sound....very interesting, so they will sort of hop back into a more neutral sound turning ㅗ sometimes into ㅓ which is like the aw in caught KIND OF without having a twang. We also don't use this vowel so.. yeah it's not what they're being taught, they have technically technicalllyyyy 21 vowels, or what they consider to be vowels, and there are sounds that english doesn't have, so it will surely come across. we also have sounds they DON'T, and that kind of "oh" with much wider circumferenced lips isn't natural for them.

I think that vowel you always mention is a Korean vowel: 어 which sounds "uh" and yes it's in a lot of words 😅
I honestly try to get most of my students to use that vowel more regardless of what language they are singing in.
Sorry this comment kinda triggered me. Of course all of that is true, but it's not like English or any other language for that matter doesn't have the "uh" sound in a lot of their words. The only true difference is that their vowel is meant to sound the way that it looks. Whereas English can literally be pronounced in anyway and people could still understand. So yes that vowel being in a lot of their words will help them. But a lot of these clips have no meaning with words but are simple vocalizations for the main and lead vocalists to shine and just sing runs of vowels with the most common being the "uh" cause it's easier for them to sing and pronounce and sound good at the same time. I think my essay was kinda pointless cause I just accented all of what you said lol but I wasn't gonna delete all of this hard work lmao

I’m unsure how often you look at comments. I saw one about vocal lessons and I thought of a pretty cool idea. Have subscribers send in a tape of them singing and then pick one or maybe even two or however many your comfortable with and then make videos of you coaching them(pick someone who is a beginner but has potential). Then other subscribers can follow along from a beginners point of view.
