Indulging in a meal at the oldest restaurant in Athens was truly an extraordinary experience, made even more memorable by the delectable variety of dishes on offer. Two thumbs up!
It is awesome to see you enjoy the cuisine of Birthplace! I’ll be in that area next month and I will definitely try the Psara restaurant! Thanks for a great video !
That feta cheese with honey in the pastry looked so delicious! Actually it all did - but I really want to try that feta. The restaurant seating outside is so pretty and it looked like you had it to yourself!
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon well you will just have to try to recreate all of these delicious dishes from your travels when you're home. Maybe a new cooking with AOATD spin off channel!
I love this! I love sitting in old restaurants that are gems to the city. It’s a plus that views are amazing from the restaurant. And I love how they served the Arzo rice directly from the pot. Lol I have had it rain on me like that several times at restaurants.
Eating at the oldest restaurant in Athens is a special treat. The fact the at the food is delicious is a bonus. Thank goodness I had just eaten dinner before watching this, it will make you hungry!
We would love to eat in oldest restaurant for sure and adding it definitely whenever we get the chance to visit Athens. Food really look so tempting and place is so cozy as well.
Definitely will add this place to my list for next visit. That bread looked delicious 😋 Loved the look of the Doughnuts Great music choice too. Don't think the price I bad for Europe.
Compared to the amount of food I got it was relatively inexpensive. Expensive for Athens but, compared to the rest of Europe that meal would've been double that or more in other places.
Fantastic video! I was mesmerized by the history and charm of Psaras Tavern. It's incredible how it has stood the test of time since 1898, surviving wars and continuing to offer traditional Greek cuisine. Thanks for sharing this gem with us! Looking forward to more of your explorations. 👍
Hi Ben, I just discovered your vlogs and enjoy them very much. I was curious to know if you also discovered the old tavern called Diporto? Apparently, it is in the Chaidari district and is literally a hole in the wall. It notes an EST date of 1887. There is no menu and they make about eight fresh dishes daily. I am going to Athens in April and will definitely check out Psaras.
no doubt the 'oldest restaurant in Athens' tag probably added 20% to the bill, but considering you had a number of courses there 48 Euro aint too bad! I am yet to see you eat sir something you didnt like!

The food looks yum... and the way you showed it made me hungry..
Told you not to watch on an empty stomach.
We just returned from our Athens trip, so sad that we missed this restaurant. Will surely try it next time we’re back.
It's worth it. A bit pricier than most other Tavernas but, the food is fantastic.
What a cool experience! The restaurant looks so cute and the food looks delicious! 😄
Oh it was sooo good.

As long as it's not too hard or windy sitting under a large umbrella while it rains, enjoying a meal is actually rather soothing.

I did not know that existed!! I will put that on my map next time I'm in Athens.
Diporto tavern is in the center of Athens. Near the Athens Market. Not in Chaidari district. Check before you go so you don't be confused.
