  • Time for the Ultimate Greek Food Tour of Athens Greece! My time in Athens Greece over the last several videos culminates in this video. All the Greek Food I've eaten up till now comes to its head.
    In this video I will partnering up with Food Around Athens, food tour company. Ran by Rachel and her husband Michalis and their co-host Arela, this tour group is the #1 experience on Airbnb in Greece!
    During the tour we explore many of the local hidden food gems. Going through the streets of Athens to drink and eat many traditional Greek dishes. Dishes including, feta cheeses, olives, honey, coffee, grilled meats, fish and of course Greek yogurt. Oh and don't forget the Ouzo. Never forget the Ouzo.

    What a Food Tour this was. Probably the most in depth of a food tour I've ever been a part of. Thanks to my gracious hosts.

      @@lukeandalucia9354 minimum of a week. It depends on what your focus is but, I'd say at least a week. I was there for a whole month and there are still a lot of Athens I didn't see. However, I pretty much hit most of the highlights.

    It's been 3 weeks since my husband and I came back from our Christmas and New Year holiday in Athens, and we sorely miss the place. Greece, especially Athens has this charm that automatically draws you in and makes you feel at home from the moment you set foot at the airport. This video makes me miss Athens more.

      I learned a lot about Olive Oil I never knew before this tour. The fact that a lot of commercial olive oils are less than 30% olive oil has me examining every bottle when I go to the store in the US nowadays.

      @@AdventuresOfATravelingDon Yes. Kirkland Brand from Costco is tested and passes. For smaller needs, I stick with a small bottled California EVOO. Or If I can find a small Greek supplier. Different in the states for that though.

    • @AdventuresOfATravelingDon

      Some of the places I remember such as, Athens Central Market, Milk Specialty Coffee and Melita Honey. The other small spots I am not too sure. The tour was fast paced and I was barely able to keep up while filming.

  • @levsomov2657

    And WHY no any address and precise naming of any of those places...?

    • @AdventuresOfATravelingDon
      @AdventuresOfATravelingDon  3 місяці тому +3

      Mainly it's for advertising the actual tour. So take the tour and you'll see all those places. There should be a link for the tour in the description. Also some of those places particularly connected to the markets didn't have a specific Google maps address since they are part of a greater whole market. Google maps doesn't always have the exact address down right when you get outside the US...hell they don't have the right address in the US sometimes.

    All I can think is how rude to be talking over the tour guide…hindering others to enjoy their tour

    • @AdventuresOfATravelingDon
      @AdventuresOfATravelingDon  Місяць тому +2

      So you're aware the video was sanctioned by the tour guides and played by the other tour guests beforehand. Also if you watched it you notice my face is pretty close to the camera. Between keeping it low, the projection of the tour guides voice and the loud background natural noise of the city I can guarantee you, if you had been there wouldn't have heard me over her whatsoever.
