It's been 3 weeks since my husband and I came back from our Christmas and New Year holiday in Athens, and we sorely miss the place. Greece, especially Athens has this charm that automatically draws you in and makes you feel at home from the moment you set foot at the airport. This video makes me miss Athens more.
Such an amazing food tour, the colors variety and quantity is heaven for a foodie❤ Your Greece food tour series is worth visiting Greece. Hope we hit our long wished destination soon
I think I would love the food tour just for the olives! I'm a big fan. But really all of the food seemed incredible. And that pistachio butter!? Sign me up.
@@lukeandalucia9354 minimum of a week. It depends on what your focus is but, I'd say at least a week. I was there for a whole month and there are still a lot of Athens I didn't see. However, I pretty much hit most of the highlights.
The best diet in the world the Mediterranean diet is based on Greek cuisine very underrated cuisine and the food is the best in the world as its diverse
so the question is - is there ANY food left in Athens??? what a great little food tour. i love greek food although I can't eat tomatoes any more so that sucks. the meat especially looked awesome reminded me of a market in Florence. Honey shop at the end very impressive too!
The Ultimate tour is right. The traditional way of making Greek coffee is as much a site to see as a great and delicious drink to have. Spices as far as the eye can see, Wow. Lavender Honey? Yum.
Love an ultimate food Tour I was laughing at you with the olive oil haha Thought this was a really lovely Tour it covered so much food but with really great info. I never knew Lavender was a palette cleaner.
Unfortunately I won't be in Greece in October. However, if you're looking to do the food tour I believe there is a link in the description for the food tour I took
I learned a lot about Olive Oil I never knew before this tour. The fact that a lot of commercial olive oils are less than 30% olive oil has me examining every bottle when I go to the store in the US nowadays.
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon Yes. Kirkland Brand from Costco is tested and passes. For smaller needs, I stick with a small bottled California EVOO. Or If I can find a small Greek supplier. Different in the states for that though.
@@dishnpj3565 I get Kirkland when I'm in Texas from Costco but, when I'm in Maine I have to get what I can from the local grocery store. Which can get pricey.
In All honesty it would be hard to find bad food. I think the only thing I ate that whole month in Athens that wasn't good was a fast food burger at one of the local chains. Now that was not good. Most sit down restaurants. I honestly couldn't complain.
Some of the places I remember such as, Athens Central Market, Milk Specialty Coffee and Melita Honey. The other small spots I am not too sure. The tour was fast paced and I was barely able to keep up while filming.
Mainly it's for advertising the actual tour. So take the tour and you'll see all those places. There should be a link for the tour in the description. Also some of those places particularly connected to the markets didn't have a specific Google maps address since they are part of a greater whole market. Google maps doesn't always have the exact address down right when you get outside the US...hell they don't have the right address in the US sometimes.
This video could be great to watch if you guys can learn to talk less and not to show your faces every few seconds. We want to see Greek food and not your faces!
I appreciate you watching. I'm still trying to have a happy medium. Videos I've done what you said I've had others say I don't put myself enough on camera to explain the food or the places I'm visiting.
So you're aware the video was sanctioned by the tour guides and played by the other tour guests beforehand. Also if you watched it you notice my face is pretty close to the camera. Between keeping it low, the projection of the tour guides voice and the loud background natural noise of the city I can guarantee you, if you had been there wouldn't have heard me over her whatsoever.
What a Food Tour this was. Probably the most in depth of a food tour I've ever been a part of. Thanks to my gracious hosts.

Thank you for this video ❤
I've done the honey but, hadn't thought of a cinnamon stick for it. I will try that next time I get a batch sent to me.
Greece Super Beautiful country, kind hospitable people and delicious food! A very pleasant, fun and wonderful excursion! Good luck to all!

what an extensive food tour! you must be stuffed after all the delicious food you got to enjoy!
Weirdly enough it was all snacking the whole tour so I wasn't full like some of the other meals you've seen me have.
I've never thought much about Greek food, but this all looks so delicious! Great job with this food tour! 😄
Thanks it was delicious

Excited for you. Tell Rachel and Arela I said hi!

So fun hosting you Ben 😊 ❤️😊
Thanks for everything Arela. That was such a fun day.
That’s were we meet up with our food guide. Her husband was the one who guided us. It was fun.
You had Mike as your guide?! Good man. I met him afterwards with the group to hang out. What a fun night that was.

The thyme honey was my favorite. Sooo good.

Loved the food on this one. Even went to the fridge, got out the olives, and ate with you. I'm sure yours taste much better.
😂 the olives were fantastic. Told you not to be hungry while watching

Very true. I've missed Greece since I left

Can you elaborate the names of the places in the video ?
Some of the places I remember such as, Athens Central Market, Milk Specialty Coffee and Melita Honey. The other small spots I am not too sure. The tour was fast paced and I was barely able to keep up while filming.
The link to the tour is in the description. You could always contact Rachel and Arela about it.

Hello!!! What is the name of the spices store please!
The store front is in Greek so I'm not sure about the pronunciation but I believe it is Herbs And Spice - The balm.
