poop my teacher had a seizure in front of the class yesterday. It was the first day of school. I’m still horrified, but I can’t imagine how she’s feeling now
I've had epilepsy my whole life but I'll never forget my first seizure. I was 21 getting ready for a Halloween party had a few pre drinks and went outside for a rollie and all of a sudden I woke up in a chair with my friends so scared telling not to move and that an ambulance was on it's way. I fought to get up to piss but had no strength as they begged me not to move. I then woke up in an ambulance being asked if I took anything and that no one has to know just they need to know because it could save my life. I then woke up in hospital a doctor asking me if I was ok telling me I had a seizure. To do this day that is easily the greatest fear I've ever felt and any time someone asks "Are you ok Conor?" I see their faces and it scares me more than anything I have ever seen or heard. It's just the fact that one minute I'm walking outside and next minute it's all gone.
I can feel that. I was also 21 when suddenly i felt sleepy at the morning and gone to bed and at afternoon woke up in the hospital with my family around asking me what was happening to me. I said i don't remember what happened and how did i come here. Then they brought me home and after reaching home i felt sleepy again 😭😭 and same happened again [ uncontrolled muscle movement and teeth ratling] but this time they i became normal ealier and that day was the worst day of my life uptil now. Now i am frustrated having lot medicine everyday trying to fight this condition with memory loss problem every day 😭😭. Please pray for me
I have epilepsy too and i only got 1 seizure it was happend about 2 3 years ago i was 12 and waked up becouse of school i was realy sleepy and tired my mom gived me my backpack and oppened the door i walked to shoe cabinet to take my shoes i take my shoes and it started i can remember only 1 2 seconds about this firstly my hands raised up and it was tarribel it was like get shock all my muscels was locked i tryed to call help but i couldnt i was started to hear a weird music and my vision started to become black and all my mind has gone when i was waked up my mom is in my near and some of the neiberhoods are looking at me i tryed to stand up and take my backpack and old neiberhood said do not atand up we called ambulance for you my mom hugged me and the ambulance camed they connected me a weird vire i dont know how to say it english they finded my vaine then they used a something like syringe to connect vaine and connected the cable they dont latted my mom come with me in ambulance and she fallowed us with taxi when we arrived hospital i asked my mom whats happend and she said i fell off and hit my head to a shoe cabinet and started to look like get electric shot she was realy scared hopefully i started to useing medicine at that day and i dont get any seizure anymore but i am still using medicine but doctor said i ll gonna fine about 5 years
I am 20 got my first seizure in sleep around 1pm an year ago, remember nothing about it just woke up at hospital next morning .... Similar was during second seizure ,got in sleep ,remember nothing and woke up at hospital It was very frustrating first time, but even more frustrating second time realising oh again but why so .... Now it's gonna be a year taking number of tablets every day , Also , suffering from depression It just feels like hell suffering from epilepsy
I had epilepsy ever since I was born. And it's the kind where I can't process flashing lights. It really sucks to have it, and I'm very sorry for people who have the same..
my friend has epilepsy and she wears dimming contacts when theres flashing lights x her epilepsy isn’t to serious but if she sees strobe lighting she will have a seizure x
@@abskorditis1232 I don't really remember, to be honest. I was a baby when I had seizures, and my family didn't figure out why I had constant crying fits until I was like 5. So I really don't know, because I take stuff that helps it.
@@abskorditis1232 For me, I just feel strange. There is no other way to put it. My head feels strange, foggy and I become aggitated or emotional. With my warnings or aura's, my left eye pulls to the side(or it feels like it) and it feels like my glasses are dirty, but they aren't. I then start seeing black spots until my vision is completely black and I can only see bright flickering lights or bubbles bobbing up and down. Then I usually go into a bigger seizure or have many of these aura's a day. What do you feel?
I was diagnosed at two days old resulting from a stroke. I had a hemispherectomy in January 2008. I had one seizure a year later. Today I’m 19 and 13 years post op, 12 years seizure free and 10 years off medicine
I was driving to work one day a couple months ago when suddenly I was mid-chat with police officers, having run into the person in front of me at the traffic light Then about a week after that at work I was just going about my job then split second later I found myself in the back of an ambulance on the way to the hospital, learned the next day that apparently I’d just collapsed mid-shift and started spasming Officially diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy, no family history whatsoever, started taking keppra as of the second incident Had a really rough time getting used to it, wasn’t able to stay asleep for more than a couple of hours at a time but felt like I’d rested enough, wasn’t eating or drinking but didn’t feel like I needed to eat or drink We’re looking to potentially up my dosage, I’m eating and drinking fine again and even sleeping properly again, but I’m still having random absence seizures without any real pattern or rhyme to them, it’s like I’m jump-cutting video footage from one scene to the next, trying to figure out what I missed and for how long I barely notice when it happens outside someone having to tell me, so I’m almost excessively watching the clock in case it jumps a few minutes or watching what I think or what people say just in case suddenly we’re on a different part of the conversation that I didn’t catch, it’s been rough Addendum: for as long as I can remember I’ve had what I called “deja vu moments” where suddenly I feel like I’ve seen a specific moment in a dream and get dizzy or nauseous-it can be someone saying something or me thinking about something when I’m looking at something at the right time or the way light hits my eyes at the perfect moment I now know as of my diagnosis these are called “auras,” and apparently it’s a potential sign of temporal lobe epilepsy, now as of late I’ve been having so many of them and associating it with my epilepsy I barely even feel nauseous anymore, I try not to think about it and just move on, as thinking about it seems to bring the nauseous feeling with it I set up a journal to write about each day as it happens so if I have a “deja vu moment” or someone notices an absence seizure I can mark it down to show the doctor when I have my next appointment

I had a seziure in school during my freshman year in high school in front of my whole class it was my 4th one thankfully my friend and teacher were there to help me. Without them I probably would have gotten hurt a lot worse and it would’ve made my next day at school a bit awkward. wow he's a champ! I've recently discovered I had epilepsy last year. However, my family first noticed the beginning 4 years ago and we didn't know what it was. I had gone to many doctors and for a while, they didn't even know what it was. All of a sudden, last year, I take an EEG and MRI ( I didn't like the MRI). They found that I had epilepsy after observing the EEG. I have gotten medication for it and have been better since. At times, I have reacted differently to the medication and we had to increase the dosage. I am doing much better than before and I want everyone else to lessen/prevent epilepsy from affecting their lives.
Same with me. Although, my neurologist is telling me than I can finally stop taking medication. But it’s hard. I don’t want to have more seizures.. what if that happens when I stop taking them?

I was always being told off by teachers employers that I never looked like I was listening when in fact I was suffering from absent seizures all along.im now on medication and even though I still get forgetful I just got to remember that I have an illness and it's not my fault xxx
I don’t think about it but it can come back to remind you. I was diagnosed with epilepsy in December 2014. I hit a car.I totaled my car.That was when I knew I had to find out what is going on. As a month earlier I had an incident or 2 at work that I was told about.I didn’t fall. It was my hands shaking or something like that. I had gone seizure free for 2 years. Then in November I had a Tonic Clonic seizure. In June 2018 my Neurologist had my driving license taken away from me.As I totaled this car as well. I had quite a few incidents while driving. Good thing that I didn’t hurt anyone or myself. Only the fIrst incident involved hitting another car while driving. No one got hurt.I just totaled my car. I have totaled 2 cars. I had a TBI in 1993.That must be why I got epilepsy in 2014.
I was diagnosed with epilepsy in school in 1982 and went for treatment in many medical centers, Finally, I decided not to give up in 2014 and travel to See a neurologist in Mayo clinic in Mayo Clinic in Arizona because I had enough. The neurologist was gentle and he managed my medications schedule and advised me to use the extended release ones if each medicine. Since that time, I kept thanking god that I didn’t have any partial seizure.

I was diagnosed in 2005.this is 2023 thats how long i have been taking medication and he is right they have to change it because sometimes they stop working. When I had my first one I didn't know anything about seizures but I have a nice doctor and I read everything about epilepsy im one of those people that get them and through all the test they don't know why. My uncle and my father was epileptic but when they enter the military, it just got away, they were young adults then. They said it could be the healthy lifestyle they got from the military camp. Now they're in their 60's. My dad still alive but diabetic. Mu uncle just died recently of heart attack
I have mayoclonic epilepsy, and it's been years since I last had a seizure, and I probably had one this night. So here I am trying to stay awake because I'm afraid of going back to sleep. One of my fears and worries is that I'd have a seizure outside or out in public and no help. That's why I made sure to inform my professors at my college and gave them the neurologist card, just in case the worst happens. In the beginning how he said that it was challenging and thinking of things. I personally agree with that so much. I would have such negative thoughts and sometimes even pity myself. And one thing I kind of want to say is that not all seizures are the same. Because there have been quite a few people who think that all seizures are body spasms, when there are actually different forms and types.
@@juusohiltunen1081 I really don't know, since I was always asleep when I had a seizure. Though there was once I had one while awake and completely lost consciousness. But thankfully I was sitting down. So, I really don't feel anything during it, for me that is. But after it, there is pain, confusion and lost control of body. I'm sorry for your loss. @@juusohiltunen1081 But that night, when I commented. I was sort of in awake and asleep state. So I started to feel probably the end of it, because I bit my tongue and feeling small jerks of my arms. It's scary, and uncomfortable. That's the most I can say as it feels I guess.

I had 7 grand mal seizures in less than 6 months. 1 a week before my birthday. 1 a week before school. 5 in less than 12hours 3 days before school. I also have autism and other diagnoses this past year.
Before the video even started I KNEW there was going to be that emotional piano music playing. I hate that trend so much. My friend had epilepsy, so I already sympathise.
I’m lucky that I don’t have a difficult time with my epilepsy anymore I had my first seizure at about 9 months and I’ve had more than 10 in total but my last seizure was in 1st or 2nd grade which was 5 or 6 years ago
I was born with epilepsy and so was my moms friends son we both had to take very expensive medications for a long time i am not sure about him but i had to take my meds almost 20 years but now i am good i dont suffer from it anymore and neither does he we had a great neurologist. Good luck❤️
Freshman year I had 3 seizures in the same class and now I’m a Junior and my seizures have gotten worse over the year I really with I could just talk to someone that have the same disorder that I have and that will understand how I feel

@@nicoleperez3778 mine started while I was sleeping, it was never during the day at least I never noticed it the medication seemed to work but as my neurologist explained as you get older your brain changes too so she added an extra medication to take and I'm hoping it works

Im 20 years old. Since a severe illness in 2018 ive been experiencing seizures. And it aint getting better. Please approximately how much will it cost to do this process. Surgical process. I've seizures disorder too but i don't fall unconscious. i only very very discomforting shock-like movements in different angles of my head. And the veins in my head swell up too when this happens to me. I need help😭😭

I had my first seizure wen I was 7 months old, I started to have more wen I started growing up, but the most worst memory was High School bcuz I started to have more seizures in front of everyone in my sport class. I have been suffering from it & I hate my life bcuz everyone of my scholl was making fun of me & second I been bullied with it & calling me names. But now I been controlled for almost 4 or 5 years now. Just a little scared if I’m gonna have one again but I try not to worry too much.

I have epilepsy too and i only got 1 seizure it was happend about 2 3 years ago i was 12 and waked up becouse of school i was realy sleepy and tired my mom gived me my backpack and oppened the door i walked to shoe cabinet to take my shoes i take my shoes and it started i can remember only 1 2 seconds about this firstly my hands raised up and it was tarribel it was like get shock all my muscels was locked i tryed to call help but i couldnt i was started to hear a weird music and my vision started to become black and all my mind has gone when i was waked up my mom is in my near and some of the neiberhoods are looking at me i tryed to stand up and take my backpack and old neiberhood said do not atand up we called ambulance for you my mom hugged me and the ambulance camed they connected me a weird vire i dont know how to say it english they finded my vaine then they used a something like syringe to connect vaine and connected the cable they dont latted my mom come with me in ambulance and she fallowed us with taxi when we arrived hospital i asked my mom whats happend and she said i fell off and hit my head to a shoe cabinet and started to look like get electric shot she was realy scared hopefully i started to useing medicine at that day and i dont get any seizure anymore but i am still using medicine but doctor said i ll gonna fine about 5 years

I was diagnosed at two days old resulting from a stroke. I had a hemispherectomy in January 2008. I had one seizure a year later. Today I’m 19 and 13 years post op, 12 years seizure free and 10 years off medicine
I was driving to work one day a couple months ago when suddenly I was mid-chat with police officers, having run into the person in front of me at the traffic light
Then about a week after that at work I was just going about my job then split second later I found myself in the back of an ambulance on the way to the hospital, learned the next day that apparently I’d just collapsed mid-shift and started spasming
Officially diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy, no family history whatsoever, started taking keppra as of the second incident
Had a really rough time getting used to it, wasn’t able to stay asleep for more than a couple of hours at a time but felt like I’d rested enough, wasn’t eating or drinking but didn’t feel like I needed to eat or drink
We’re looking to potentially up my dosage, I’m eating and drinking fine again and even sleeping properly again, but I’m still having random absence seizures without any real pattern or rhyme to them, it’s like I’m jump-cutting video footage from one scene to the next, trying to figure out what I missed and for how long
I barely notice when it happens outside someone having to tell me, so I’m almost excessively watching the clock in case it jumps a few minutes or watching what I think or what people say just in case suddenly we’re on a different part of the conversation that I didn’t catch, it’s been rough
Addendum: for as long as I can remember I’ve had what I called “deja vu moments” where suddenly I feel like I’ve seen a specific moment in a dream and get dizzy or nauseous-it can be someone saying something or me thinking about something when I’m looking at something at the right time or the way light hits my eyes at the perfect moment
I now know as of my diagnosis these are called “auras,” and apparently it’s a potential sign of temporal lobe epilepsy, now as of late I’ve been having so many of them and associating it with my epilepsy I barely even feel nauseous anymore, I try not to think about it and just move on, as thinking about it seems to bring the nauseous feeling with it
I set up a journal to write about each day as it happens so if I have a “deja vu moment” or someone notices an absence seizure I can mark it down to show the doctor when I have my next appointment

I had a seziure in school during my freshman year in high school in front of my whole class it was my 4th one thankfully my friend and teacher were there to help me. Without them I probably would have gotten hurt a lot worse and it would’ve made my next day at school a bit awkward. I've recently discovered I had epilepsy last year. However, my family first noticed the beginning 4 years ago and we didn't know what it was. I had gone to many doctors and for a while, they didn't even know what it was. All of a sudden, last year, I take an EEG and MRI ( I didn't like the MRI). They found that I had epilepsy after observing the EEG.
I have gotten medication for it and have been better since. At times, I have reacted differently to the medication and we had to increase the dosage. I am doing much better than before and I want everyone else to lessen/prevent epilepsy from affecting their lives.
Same with me. Although, my neurologist is telling me than I can finally stop taking medication. But it’s hard. I don’t want to have more seizures.. what if that happens when I stop taking them?

Then in November I had a Tonic Clonic seizure.
In June 2018 my Neurologist had my driving license taken away from me.As I totaled this car as well.
I had quite a few incidents while driving.
Good thing that I didn’t hurt anyone or myself.
Only the fIrst incident involved hitting another car while driving. No one got hurt.I just totaled my car.

I was diagnosed with epilepsy in school in 1982 and went for treatment in many medical centers, Finally, I decided not to give up in 2014 and travel to See a neurologist in Mayo clinic in Mayo Clinic in Arizona because I had enough. The neurologist was gentle and he managed my medications schedule and advised me to use the extended release ones if each medicine. Since that time, I kept thanking god that I didn’t have any partial seizure.

I was diagnosed in 2005.this is 2023 thats how long i have been taking medication and he is right they have to change it because sometimes they stop working. When I had my first one I didn't know anything about seizures but I have a nice doctor and I read everything about epilepsy im one of those people that get them and through all the test they don't know why. My uncle and my father was epileptic but when they enter the military, it just got away, they were young adults then. They said it could be the healthy lifestyle they got from the military camp. Now they're in their 60's. My dad still alive but diabetic. Mu uncle just died recently of heart attack
I have mayoclonic epilepsy, and it's been years since I last had a seizure, and I probably had one this night. So here I am trying to stay awake because I'm afraid of going back to sleep.
One of my fears and worries is that I'd have a seizure outside or out in public and no help. That's why I made sure to inform my professors at my college and gave them the neurologist card, just in case the worst happens.
In the beginning how he said that it was challenging and thinking of things. I personally agree with that so much. I would have such negative thoughts and sometimes even pity myself.
And one thing I kind of want to say is that not all seizures are the same. Because there have been quite a few people who think that all seizures are body spasms, when there are actually different forms and types.

So, I really don't feel anything during it, for me that is. But after it, there is pain, confusion and lost control of body.

I had 7 grand mal seizures in less than 6 months. 1 a week before my birthday. 1 a week before school. 5 in less than 12hours 3 days before school. I also have autism and other diagnoses this past year.

Freshman year I had 3 seizures in the same class and now I’m a Junior and my seizures have gotten worse over the year I really with I could just talk to someone that have the same disorder that I have and that will understand how I feel

I had my first seizure wen I was 7 months old, I started to have more wen I started growing up, but the most worst memory was High School bcuz I started to have more seizures in front of everyone in my sport class.
