I was worried about leaving my 150$ classical guitar laying flat on the top of my closet because of the effect of the gravity on the neck. Now that I´ve seen a 1950´s strat being pulled from a pile of guitars on the floor I am no longer worried. THANK YOU MR MALMSTEEN!!!
F'in hilarious. First of 10 strats, "Band bump boom". Not a piece of art, but the 54 is a piece of history. At least he didn't mod it. All My guitars got dings.dirt scratches and all. Literally got my 2017 YJM, got hammered and feel into a book shelf holding the guitar. Plastic isn't even off the fret board yet. Of course, for YM a neck change is an easy thing. I'm sure a lot of the necks have been replaced on the touring ones. I still have my second guitar. Ibanez RG550 from 1990. Worn frets, grunk on the fret board, major nicks out of the body, few stripped screws. Battle scars.
I think people just misunderstood his humor as "arrogance and ego", I think he's a nice guy, and a legend. I think there's no one other than him who has that excellent technique, especially that effortless right hand rotation mechanic picking.
nowadays Al DiMeola has this 'arrogant image' - he's always in trouble on Facebook, after posting against pop artists, or guitarists 'that plays few notes' etc.
***** If I had that many guitars I'd have a large room specifically for keeping guitars in. Wall brackets come in so handy, and I'd have them in different rooms of the house too. Besides, why the hell does he need or even want so many of the same guitar? Like literally 90% of those guitars are exactly the same and probably feel and sound the same. I never did understand Yngwie's infactuation with vanilla coloured strats...or whatever grotesque colour that is.
TheBlisterer lol, to each his own i guess, yngwie isn't a neat freak, some people are like that, i would describe myself as a lazy slob when it comes to domestic order, my desks are covered etc. i never put anything away, i don't get neat freaks, it's too time consuming and i have a limited supply of free time.
TheBlisterer I have racks for my guitars, stands are pointless for that many. I heard Lars (Yngwie) has a gold strat hanging by one tuner on a small nail in the wall. Honestly, that '54 strat is almost priceless - its the same batch Dave Gilmour's strat came from. Though, Lars does bullshit endlessly, so it probably isn't a '54
I don't get why people think Malmsteen is a horrible guy. I never met him but he comes across to me as a normal guy but knows he has plenty of talent and he's proud of himself
'This is one of the first Strats made' - immediately whacks it into the one leaning on the front of it! I love his attitude to these guitars- so refreshing to see someone who obviously loves these things but does not treat them like holy relics- yeah they're 60 years old- so what?! He has a healthy irreverence towards them-I think so many of us get hung up on the details of vintage and relics these days, always searching for a an ideal and lose the whole point of what guitars are all about- looking mean and making noise- what ever guitar you use!
Everyone complaining about his treatment of his guitars. It's hilarious. He's got a nice array of beautiful antique guitars and doesn't bother me at all because they are his. He also can play them all better than any of us on any day of the week blindfolded and hands tied up.
I don't see him banging his guitars around like everyone is saying. He lays them down and then lets them go, and maybe they slide around a little but that's it. They're his tools and that's how he sees them. They all look in good condition to me and he has had them for years and years.
It's his stuff and at the end of the day he can do whatever he wants with it. People crying saying I wouldn't do this or that blah blah we're not on this mans level infact we're so far removed from his reality it's not even worth having an opinion
I suppose for him the guitars are just a functional tool to get a job done. Do you really worry about every scratch and ding you get on a favourite chisel? No, it just gets thrown in the draw of your workbench until you need it next time, regardless of whether it is new or 40 years old. It's solely in the eyes of the individual if they place an emphasis on old items or turn something into an object of wonder and awe, whether that's the owner or not.
I love this man... He is LEGENDARY and funny. Often his humor is mistaken with arrogance..... he's not arrogant, he's Yngwie J Malmsteen, the creator of neoclassical movement, let's all think about that for a minute. I love it how when your not famous you try to take as much care of your guitars as you can, but when your this guys status you can just leave a bunch of super not cheap guitars just lying in a pile on the damn floor, rock on yngwie
I actually liked the way he was just chucking the guitars down. They are after all just a tool. I have a couple of guitars I treat like that as they look like they need a kicking. However, I have a Jackson DK2S and Ibanez Prestige that would look completely crap if they were beat up, so I'm a bit more delicate with them.
The 54... Im sure it will get extra points for Yngwie pouring Coors Light on it and throwing it on the floor and nicking the shellac. He has 40+ million in guitars at auction...probably more. He knows it because hes that good. It makes him an arrogant fuck.
I don't see why he is an ''egotistical piece of shit'' for keeping his guitars on the floor. What's next hating him for wearing his Rolex instead of keeping it in a displaycase? Yngwie uses his guitars with the purpose they were made for which is too play on. All the hate is just envy really, from collectors who dream about a guitar like that but can't afford it. Too him it's just a guitar (and that's really all it should be). Yngwie is a guitarhero to me, but he is a human too who wakes up get his coffee like everybody else. It's us that make people or objects bigger than they really are and I think it's very hypocritical to hate someone for having something valueable and not treating it the way you would. We're all different and in the end of the day they're his guitars, he can do whatever he wants with them. It's not like he's smashing them in his parking lot is he? And to all those haters.. I bet half of you wouldn't have the balls to say something like that to him in person.
+Robin Hage because it causes the value to depriciate, if that is truly one of the first 10 strats made it should be in the smithsonian instead of languishing about on fat shits floor, and yeah I called him a fat shit, anyone can shred and play guitar fast, he can play paganini scores but other then that shredding is 0 musical ability, everyone shreds.
+Iggy Tubmen: First thing,it's his guitar. All those guitars are. He has no obligation to anybody for what he does with them. The same would apply to you, me, and everybody else. Also, unless you live on the moon, you should be smart enough to know that he does much more than just"shred". Listen to"Rising Force"(it's over 30 years old by the way) tell me he's just a one trick pony after you hear it all the way through. If everybody can do it then that means you should be able to aswell right? By your logic anyways. Good luck with that. He's much more diverse than that. Nylon string classical, acoustic, bass, and he seems to be pretty well versed at electric but I don't know if you realize that which leaves a lot to be said about your judgment. If anybody can play fast and shred Paganini, you should be able to match him then right? You'll need a lot more than the ability to play fast to pull that off. By saying he has"zero musical ability" you automatically qualify yourself for not knowing anything about how he plays or what he's about. Name something, I bet he can play it and do a better job then 99% of people plus he would be incorporating his own style into it which just makes it that much more remarkable. Typical that someone would give him credit only for being a fat shit as you put it, yet you conveniently forget he would outplay you or anyone you call your favorite. Not to forget he's been doing it likely since before you were born. But none of that is worth anything right? If you think he's just a speed player then that means you don't get what he's doing because it's too much for you to handle and is simply over your head.Outplay him and I'll take back everything I wrote. That should be interesting(much like a train wreck)You shouldn't paint yourself in a corner like that. It kind of helps to throw your credibility out the window.
When i was a kid i did that kind of stuff, my first guitar was a Hagstrom swede, actually slept with it. I know it nuts what the love of music can so to you. Cheers!!
Strats are pick up trucks and should be treated as such. The only reason these assembly line guitars are worth a lot of money is because of people conned into thinking old guitars are special. It is the most copied guitar on Earth. He is just treating them the same way Leo Fender did. Nostalgia is boring and expensive. The notes are the only thing with value.
TheNeverendingGory just a little thought tho.... the older is the guitar the older is the wood that it's made from, the older the wood the brighter is the sound... perhaps a little truth on older guitar sounding better it true... still some time are way expensive but giving the fact that to have a high end guitar the wood needs to name from the centre of the tree.. not at the bottom or top cos its to dry or wet.... there is a loot to take in consideration when buying the guitar... shape and colour are the last factors... :) x
To everyone that is so obsessed with how he treats his guitars on this video: You need to wake up and realize those are all his guitars. He can afford to do whatever he damn well pleases with them and certainly doesn't need any random jackasses stamp of approval on how to treat them. The man has pioneered this style of guitar playing for going on 40 years. He gets free guitars whenever he wants,he'll be okay. You don't need to worry yourselves about how he treats his guitar collection. Instead of that pointless activity, why not attempt to aim your "concern" towards the idea that if you bust your ass for the rest of your life, maybe you will luck out and get to be half as good as he is now.- Good luck with that...
+Carvin5150CFH he is a total bell end - I took great pleasure seeing him throw his toys out his pram in 2000 when Guthrie Govan made him look like a total jerk after he had shredded load of kids off the stage while supposedly doing a workshop, he had no idea who guthrie was and treated him the same until he got his ass handed to him and stormed off stage in a strop, He is a clown, a very fast widdly clown with no soul. He is the pioneer of being a total dick and is definitely the worlds best at that. very fast though, soulless, tuneless, but very very fast
You're too hung up on his demeanor when he's not playing the guitar.I'm talking about his guitar work, the fact that he started that particular style of guitar playing in general, mastered it and people either love it or hate it. But I ask how can you hate it when its something nobody was doing before him to the extent in the way that he does it.As for Guthrie Govan, he is obviously a great player, but Malmsteen has been doing his thing since before Guthrie was born. You really think Malmsteen has no feeling to his play, that's ridiculous. For example listen to a song he did called"Spasebo Blues."-No feeling my ass. Watch his video "Rising Force live '85". That's when people either start hating him because they can't play it or they recognize true talent and they know he's a great player, it's just that simple. You must have been somewhat interested in him because you would have never read my post or watched video to begin with if you hated him so much.
You've gotta respect how genuine Yngwie is, just all-Malmsteen all-the-time, with no self-awareness whatsoever. Not so good if you happen to be a vintage Stratocaster, or an alcoholic beverage of any sort, but great if you like searing leads. Awesome, thanks for posting.
I saw a video, which I think was part of this interview. Yngwie talked about one of his strats that has an unconventional pickup wiring configuration. When he played it, it sounded as if he was using an octave up effect. I haven't been able to locate that video. Has anyone else seen that interview?
For the annoyed people: Yngwie might be a douche, but guitars are incredibly strong. Keeping them like this won't damage them at all (aside from a few little scrapes on the finish).
now this is what fucks me off he's a great player no doubt but why oh why are those classics on the floor why arent they on stands a cheap stand is $10 all those gifts schon may vai just on the floor....." yes they are his and he can do what the fuck he wants" but the average kid maybe has to save a couple of years for a half descent axe that would get tender loving care it just drives me mad no respect for craftsmanship even a carpenter puts his tools in a box!!!!!
Back in 80s one of the guitar players that I knew had a guitar with scalloped fingerboard kinda Yngwie style. He let me play on it for a while, and man, I was so amazed how easy, smooth and fast it played.
1 of the first 10 strats.......smash!!!.... i mean yeah old guitars will have some authentic dents and scratches in them but from years and years of touring but not from some ego-istic douche throwing them into a scrap pile without cases... some guitars may be workhorses and some may be pieces of art but in no circumstances should art become workhorses and workhorses become art etc
Workhorses should most Def become art. That's the point of the art that these things are, physically speaking. It is however difficult to watch him toss them with that painful sound. Some people are ass men, some legs men. I'm a steady guy. I would never tray my 06 deluxe stray like any of these. I feel your pain m
Let's see you play that "egotistical douchebags" guitar work. Good luck with that, and you know what,he's earned the right to act however he wants and do what he wants with his own guitars. Those are HIS guitars therefore,he has no one to answer to. I think it would be comical at the least to think that he would care what anybody on UA-cam says he needs to do with his guitars and not just leave them scattered around. That's ridiculous .Get over yourselves. ALOT of you people are missing the point. Its not a popularity contest or a personality parade or anything of the sort. Fuck that stupid trendy bullshit. I thought PanterA put that to rest with "The Great Southern Trendkill" album but anyways. It's Malmsteen's pioneering guitar ability and the fact that he's playing like this since before 90% of you reading this right now had been born.
He owns them he can do whatever he wants.Bet you don't complain when Hendrix burns his guitar in Monterey, or Pete Townsend smashing a guitar after every show.I'm sure you don't care about that right. Don't forget he runs circles around any of those players and if you don't see that you're even dumber then your post would show you to be. Way to go with that.
@Thebluesrockmusic its where you carve out the fret board in between the frets so it makes the actually metal part of the fret feel like it sticks up higher and like he said it allows you to really grab your bends and vibratos really well
It just means the room is suited for studio recordings. The room is designed sound proof with great acoustics suitable for recording. That's where he records the tracks for his albums.
im suprised he hasnt put EMG's, Floyd Rose trem, scalloped fretboard etc on that march '54 strat, he seems like the type of guy who would do all of that to a 59 les paul too
Darryl Williams Fun Facts:David Gilmour put a PAF Humbucker in his famous black '60's Strat and a whole bunch of other modifications over the years.Gary Moore put Grover locking tuners and a new straplock on the famous '59 ''Greeny'' L/P. To quote Joe Bonamassa:''A guitar has one purpose,it's meant to be played,if you want something to put behind glass & look at,buy a damn vase.''
***** wow! you sir know your stuff, quite interesting facts there however I do still think to keep guitars close to original or atleast save the original parts because classics have taken as many as 50 years to become that good so why interfere with that? However thats just personal preference everyones different I guess :)
Darryl Williams For these guys,a guitar is a tool, not a freaking antiquity. If the tool, doesn't do the job,you modify it.Trust me this whole ''vintage Strats/Gibsons are the perfect guitars'' is bullshit.Specially the electronics & hardware weren't that good, that's why many musicians use to mod the living shit out of them back in the day. That's how Larry DiMarzio & S.Duncan started their companies.Fender Strats in general use to be considered cheap, mass produced, workhorse guitars.Only in recent years, this dump relic/vintage thing became popular and Gibson/Fender started to capitalise on it,with their relic/reissue/pawnshop/special beat up,collecter's choice edition series.
He is not a Douche. He has something most modern day artists couldn't recognize if it was thrown right in their damn face. talent. He has the right to be proud because he's worked at being the best damn guitarist he can.
I wore a Halloween mask while filming this and interviewing Yngwie, besides me, (I helped on his demo and Rising Force(erection crew lol)the only thing slowing Yngwie down was "CIGARETTE LIGHTERS" so he bought torches to smoke crack. He still sounds like a Ferrari engine on guitar. I had the honors of constantly changing guitar strings on the first three albums or so in his home studio. Heeheeheeheeheeho Wipe Out! The song was a hit in 1946 for Jan August, an American pianist and "EviL" xylophonist nicknamed "the one-man piano duet". It gained worldwide popularity through Dick Dale's 1962 American surf rock version, originally titled "Miserlou/Egyptian Girl. My father was a member of The Ventures for a while as a guitarist and worked for Western Electric, and Liberty Studios and knew Jimi Page,Elvis,The Beatles , The Marines Beach Boys and The Chipmunks. As a kid I'd steal The lead guitarist of The Ventures, Dentures...and hide them in his boots
@112233Rodd332211 Thank you Rod for the kind words. I also own a 1979 Les Paul Custom that my father bought me back in the 80's. It was on sale for $300. A great bargain even back then. It's not as nice as the 1969 Deluxe, but I still cherish it. Your SG sounds really cool. I played one on a recording years ago, those babies have a distinct tone that cannot be copied. It worked really well for the specific song we made. Best of luck!
I have a question..Ho do he make those "ticking" noises after each note, when he plays fast...I mean the noise which sounds like somebody beats with his finger on a microphone
I was worried about leaving my 150$ classical guitar laying flat on the top of my closet because of the effect of the gravity on the neck. Now that I´ve seen a 1950´s strat being pulled from a pile of guitars on the floor I am no longer worried. THANK YOU MR MALMSTEEN!!!
just remember he can buy another if it breaks
he gets antoher one for free :)
Not a 50's strat!
Hahahaha omg great
Creeps me out how he has a pile of guitars on top of eachother on the floor. Nightmares.
"Here's my 1954 strat, one of ten made. Just gonna throw it over my shoulder against the wall."
In our next video, Yngwie shows what an ass he is by throwing a guitar into a Rolls Royce.... ua-cam.com/video/lZd6_jnPUfU/v-deo.html
@@markg0410 - that was classic. I have that tape.
@@markg0410 He actually left the guitar at the store for them to set it up properly, all he threw was an empty case.
😃
It's only a strat. They are everywhere. Nothing special about them.
Oh yes, this is my collection of Fabergé eggs and hammers **tosses hammer into pile***
***** you expressed my feelings perfectly
A guitar is not a piece of art.... It's a workhorse. Plain and simple.
F'in hilarious. First of 10 strats, "Band bump boom". Not a piece of art, but the 54 is a piece of history. At least he didn't mod it. All My guitars got dings.dirt scratches and all. People lose their heads over the condition of my Les Paul, the dings and scoffs make her play better.
What a massive pile of vintage white Strats. That’s just nuts! Wouldn’t mind having a few though, got to be honest.
So refreshing to see him just tossing the guitars around. People are way too precious about stuff.
Indeed. A guitar is tool like a hammer or a drill
.... one of the first Stratocastors ever made....CRUNCH
+loknloll hahahah
yngwie cocaine, sniff tour .
sounds like a pigeon in heat lol
LMAO!!!!
Havana_omelet I peed
😂😂😂😂
Love him or hate him. It’s awesome that he does exactly what works for him and really hasn’t changed in 40 years.
This seems so right. Exactly how I would imagine Yngwie, Yngwie's guitar collection and Yngwie's home.
Does he scallop his piano keys to??
He scallops his saxophones.
He even scallops his scallops.
kek
I heard he had his weenie scalloped for her pleasure...
He scalloped ferrari i think
I think people just misunderstood his humor as "arrogance and ego", I think he's a nice guy, and a legend. I think there's no one other than him who has that excellent technique, especially that effortless right hand rotation mechanic picking.
+SunaKhei93 agree 100%. He´s got chops and humour
I think you are right...I think he is just confident in what he does and what he thinks...he's funny
nowadays Al DiMeola has this 'arrogant image' - he's always in trouble on Facebook, after posting against pop artists, or guitarists 'that plays few notes' etc.
Yeah. That's the only thing about him: technical. Just it. No feeling, anything...
He’s a well-known asshole, no need to excuse him
So guitar stands were too expensive then?
TheBlisterer they take up to much room, especially with that many guitars, you wouldn't be able to reach the back ones.
***** If I had that many guitars I'd have a large room specifically for keeping guitars in. Wall brackets come in so handy, and I'd have them in different rooms of the house too. you got any guitars? i got a pile of em..
LMMFAO!!!!
Most guitarists have a huge variety of different guitar styles both in the way they sound and the way they look. Malmsteen has 45 off-white strats.
I don't get why people think Malmsteen is a horrible guy.

such a huge pile of amazing guitars, and probably none of them are ever played
But they sure are getting the relic treatment aren't they? Check out my 54 with hand wound pups....klumk!!!
"This is an old strat..yep" :::throws it on floor::
Lol
He apparently changes his rolex every time he leaves the room to lol.
love the way he puts the guitars down, and how they fall down further. Casual man. lol
I think he was a pain when he was younger but he never comes off as being a jerk in these recent videos. He actually seems pretty cool.
"this is one of the first stratocasters ever made".
throws it back on the pile....

When i was a kid i did that kind of stuff, my first guitar was a Hagstrom swede, actually slept with it. I know it nuts what the love of music can so to you. Cheers!!
Awesome how he just bangs those around!! His 1954 all original!
Oh yeah this is the guitar I was given by Steve Vai *chucks on the floor*
"This is one of the first Strats ever made."
*throws on pile*
painful to see these guitars are being piled up like no one cares :( On the other hand, Yngwie is really an exceptional player..
Ok, I don't even play or like guitar (I'm a drummer) but I can't quit looking at this guys play! lol He's amazing! Wow!
Strats stacked like cord wood… gotta love that man. Lol
The notes are the only thing with value.
well you can't make the notes if you don't feel the magic
So true and the only idiots who won't agree are the PPl who waste their money on them
TheNeverendingGory just a little thought tho.... the older is the guitar the older is the wood that it's made from, the older the wood the brighter is the sound... perhaps a little truth on older guitar sounding better it true... still some time are way expensive but giving the fact that to have a high end guitar the wood needs to name from the centre of the tree.. not at the bottom or top cos its to dry or wet.... there is a loot to take in consideration when buying the guitar... shape and colour are the last factors... :) x
This forever.
+Richard Moule Are you saying you were there?
Dude wow...the model ships and all the armor and stuff just made Yngwie like a million times cooler...don't think that was even possible...
Scallops are the THING. I gotta respect Yngwie for that.
Apparently they didn't make Malmsteen guitar stands
"Oh Yngwie, I'm so sorry! I accidentally broke one of your guitars!" "It's alright. I've got at least 500 others that look just like it."
Here's a '54 Strat...I think I'll just toss it around with the rest...lol....Jesus!
he has the right to wear that ego
Loud and clear, sir - loud and clear.
No he doesn't
Too fuckin right.
I love the PILES of guitars around his place, like holy fuck.
He doesn't drink alcohol......
@@johndo9648 Dude that was 13 years ago . . .
The Interviewer sounds like Rob Barrett from Cannibal Corpse!
Isaiah Johnson Hahahahah! It does too!!
"And the guitar right here was made from the wood of Jesus's cross" *throws it back in guitar pile*
The scalloped thing it's because of his childhood hero Ritchie Blackmore, Period.
This is one of the first Stratocasters ever made so I keep it on the top of the pile.
I just love this man
If a fat guy fell on them it would be game over.
I hate how little he cares for his rare guitars.....but it is also pretty badass.
His guitars get more banged up from his concerts than they do leaning on each other. Calm down people!
I saw a video, which I think was part of this interview. Yngwie talked about one of his strats that has an unconventional pickup wiring configuration. When he played it, it sounded as if he was using an octave up effect. I haven't been able to locate that video. Has anyone else seen that interview?
i love him. i love how hes just like 'and this is so and so guitar, one of two in the world' then he like chucks it into the pile
1000 guitars. And they all look the same...
+ᛞᛖᚾᚾᛁᛋ ᛏᚱᛟᚹᚨᛏᛟ don be upset
to people who know nothing about guitars they all look the same anyway
lmao so true. Or its like saying one type of genre makes all songs sound the same..
No they don't!!! All the dings and scratches are in different places.
Um those V's don't look like strats and that Sky guitar doesn't look like any other of his guitars so no they don't look all the same.
HAha - I love how he's handle his guitars...."smasch"
For the annoyed people: Yngwie might be a douche, but guitars are incredibly strong. Keeping them like this won't damage them at all (aside from a few little scrapes on the finish).
Piles of guitars! This guy is living the dream!
Wow I need more that attidute with my stuff. Thank you.
pokkapero he can afford to replace what he breaks...
haha he just throws his $5000 guitars around in a pile of a hundred
Yeah and a guitar legend can provide paperwork he owned it lol. No depreciation whatsoever. That thing could go to the 50s no problem.
now this is what fucks me off he's a great player no doubt but why oh why are those classics on the floor why arent they on stands a cheap stand is $10 all those gifts schon may vai just on the floor....." yes they are his and he can do what the fuck he wants" but the average kid maybe has to save a couple of years for a half descent axe that would get tender loving care it just drives me mad no respect for craftsmanship even a carpenter puts his tools in a box!!!!!
makes me cringe the way he throws those guitars in a pile
Drums also scalloped, amazing guitar 🎸 player
+Carvin5150CFH Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed...
"Someone" rides the short bus to school... that would explain the lack of comprehension.
The Donald Trump of Guitarists.
Burnwash YES. I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR SO LONG
Hahaha totally.
The Donald Trump of UA-cam commenters.
he is drunk? o.O''
Malmsteen really is the archetypal genius: delicately finesses the fretboard yet somewhat clumsily replaces his guitars in the pile...brilliant.
where do I get the "figure 2a" and "figure 7b" tabs or music?
i just want a strat like this :( please yngwie you have so manyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Thebluesrockmusic its where you carve out the fret board in between the frets so it makes the actually metal part of the fret feel like it sticks up higher and like he said it allows you to really grab your bends and vibratos really well
Jesus What a collection!!
Mr. Malmsteen, I would love to use any.one of those guitars for my next studio recording, I promise I will use a guitar stand.
i just wanna say i love u mamsteen
@SuperORION91
Yea.. quite true..
And btw, any idea how the scalloped fret board feels?
He says in the beginning of the video that the room is "tuned". What exactly does that mean?
It just means the room is suited for studio recordings. The room is designed sound proof with great acoustics suitable for recording. That's where he records the tracks for his albums.
I USED to stack guitars like that... when I was in my 20's!
Yngwie Johan Malmsteen
And YOU. Let’s not forget about Malmsteen!!
I think it's wild how he scallops out all his fretboards. Crazy. And I am also amazed how he treats his guitars. Also crazy.
im suprised he hasnt put EMG's, Floyd Rose trem, scalloped fretboard etc on that march '54 strat, he seems like the type of guy who would do all of that to a 59 les paul too
**spondgebob** laugh
That's how Larry DiMarzio & S.Duncan started their companies.Fender Strats in general use to be considered cheap, mass produced, workhorse guitars.Only in recent years, this dump relic/vintage thing became popular and Gibson/Fender started to capitalise on it,with their relic/reissue/pawnshop/special beat up,collecter's choice edition series.
well Kirk Hammett has now bought the 'greeny' 59 LP so by now it probably has EMG's in it along with a floyd
love those guitars
i love you yngwie.
this video is halarious and everybody that has commented have made me laugh. This made my day!!! Geez so many guitars.
why does it sounds like when he stops talking the audio is cut away?
The Uli guitar *ROCKS!*
The first string is not centered in the saddle 1:22
Classic problem ;)
Great camera work......
I am cracking up at all these posts but it wont let me give a thumbs up
@112233Rodd332211 Thank you Rod for the kind words.
In his humble opinion, these guitars are lucky to be owned by him. He adorns them, not the other way around.
@emilshere means that the frets are sanded down so theres a groove in them.
I have a question..Ho do he make those "ticking" noises after each note, when he plays fast...I mean the noise which sounds like somebody beats with his finger on a microphone
" I have many of these".....I believe the humour is self evident in that quote.
