    For all the credit and respect Yngwie gets, he still deserves more. Yngwie is a one of a kind and a true legend.

    Yngwie's honesty is fresh air in an industry of friendly backstabbers. He is a soloist and like Zappa, wants things done his way. Nothing wrong with that. At least he is not pretending like 90% of classic rock / metal bands. Long live Malmsteen, he MADE IT and escaped the hellhole. MORE IS MORE :)

      basically your saying the less brown a country is the better the country is …. however socialism always turns to govt control
      great in theory but eventually it turns to communism fascism or nazism
      or you introduce muslims and destroy western civilization that allows multiculturalism to exist … never see people happy in islamic state countries

      most of the people didn't understand what I wanted to say with my guitar and said: less is more, but i never agreed with it and played my style for many years further on. and this was the right way!!!After many years I found my style of playin, I had dreamed of...and it worked well! it was always inside me.

    The problem is that the finished product is mostly unlistenable since he dropped producers. His 90's stuff was pristine as far as recording quality. The 80's stuff that actually had some catchy vocal tunes he's altogether abandoned live in lieu of the same tired few.

    Probably the most honest musician on the scene. He was always brutally honest, and that turned some people off. He realizes there is room for everyone in the music world, and openly acknowledges as such. I can't imagine playing Purple at age eight, note for note. His technical ability and willing desire to be the best he can, along with escaping Sweden was an obvious driving force in his life.

    Press guy: "What's your favorite Blackmore moment? . . . Did Deep Purple ever approach you?"
    Yngwie: "Okay, this is gonna be a long answer."
    Press guy: "Good" (thankful he'll have something to write about that isn't in a million previous Yngwie interviews)
    Yngwie: Doesn't answer either question and goes into the same long-winded story he's told in countless interviews, including his left-handed compliments to the guitar players of the time when he was a kid.
    Nothing exemplifies the need for the expression "less is more" more than the man who apparently is incapable of comprehending it.

      @olivier-s7o 4 місяці тому

      He didn't answer the question about DeepPurple because it wasn't Deep Purple who approached him but he who approached Deep Purple and Deep Purple refused his application, the answer was that they didn't want a guitarist who played 200 notes per second. It was at the time when Joe Satriani was playing with Deep Purple and had said he didn't want the job. I think he also burned himself when in 1990 he played on stage with Gillan in Sweden and he overdid it, Guillan must have thought he was unmanageable.
      Concerning "less is more" he never understood simply because he doesn't know the work of Poincaré it was the King of Sweden who had launched the competition

    5:28 while I respect the desire for someone to have their own expression and not have a bunch of other hands and minds in it, I think most people, including fans of Yngwie’s music would say it came out better when he at least had other musicians playing and singing with him, although at times the co-writes may have benefitted his music too.

    • @nathaninostroza7655
      @nathaninostroza7655 4 місяці тому

      Why is this thing of acting like an orphan of his formula that did to You, and not letting Yngwie do as he pleases? I moved on with him, and respect the shit out off him, he made ppl realise here that his expressiveness comes first in the importance list when it comes to music, so much that he's going all in, telling us we only live once. I know it seems obvious the way i paraphrase him, but the point is, no one can acuse him of selling u one thing and delivering other. I think, it gotta be so difficult being him as a guitarist in his bodie, so i respect him for wanting to go the other way, when ppl wants him to be one way. He's not even begging for fans to come back, fans who don't care for his current albums. No matter how great it was once to hear him with brilliant ppl, Barry Sparks, the Johansen bros, Joe, Jeff, Boals, Vescera, u name it. He s happy being a niche artist and a phucking legend living his musical life. I wouldnt want it to be other way. If it isnt your cup of tea, then fine. It's ok to not accept his direction and way of doing things nowadays, but don't lie down here saying that u respect his desire of him being able to be who he is. Yngwie spoke the truth down here. It aint gonna be like we think it should. Period.

    • @nathaninostroza7655
      @nathaninostroza7655 4 місяці тому

      I also don't think he's not a team player when he wants to, that he havent realized the benefits of relying in ppl to pull off the musical work. It's just that, he doesnt want some singer telling him to leave space here, a producer butting heads with him about notes down there. If he's through putting up with that. Well he's what rockers gotta be, ppl who do shit like they feel. Ppl trying to mold him into status quo is the thing he's avoiding. If his musical past aint for him so desirable, thats HIM. We cherish that, more than the current LPs. But thats US.

I can't say he's telling BS or not, but that feeling s really relatable. Not because he's Yngwie, but because it takes less than a minute to realize why, if we're being real, instead of butchering reality to make our philosophical gymnastics to get away with it's senseless point, thats dishonest. He also remembered that Clive Burr was a sweet guy just not right for the gig. Yngwie could have opted not to go into all that detail to appear another way. He was honest instead.
