I am protestant who has been learning of the Catholic faith, Orthodox and Lutheran Churches. There is something about the Catholic church that keeps drawing me. I subscribed to both of your podcasts. God bless you and prayer for me to understand.
God bless you! I’m a cradle Catholic and I looove watching beautiful conversion stories like this one as well.
John, don’t let go of that interest you have. This may be God pulling you into the fullness of His love in Catholicism. Read about church fathers and doctrine!❤️ you won’t regret it. You can also contact a Catholic parish near you to talk to a priest who can answer your questions. I wish you the very best on your journey!
@@clarel2208 I have been attending St. Bernard's Catholic Church near my house. Pray for my family that the Lord would guide me in doing His will and bringing fruit of the Church to my protestant family. I would be breaking new grounds.
@@johnooley6454 I certainly will be praying for you❤️
I invite you to consider that the Lord wanted the unity od his Church and that, as a result, He must have given his disciples the center of unity that would warrant their unity
I too was a Protestant who became a Catholic.
GREAT. Welcome home.
Blessings to you and the family.
Too bad you didn't first ask God whether the RCC really is what it claims to be and whether its religion is true and comes from Him. You obviously didn't have an understanding, and still don't, of the redeeming power of the cross of Christ - belief in purgatory and the sacrifice of the mass is a mockery of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Ask God to give you saving faith and to lead you to his truth. Ask Him to enable you to understand the enormity of the sins you are habitually committing as a Catholic if the RCC is indeed a false religious system. If there is no salvation in the RCC you need to ask God to enable you to understand this, for the sake of your salvation and to commit yourself to Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord.
@Instaurare Omnia In Christo Catholics are in the RCC because they have never asked God to lead them to HIS truth and to give them the faith they need for their salvation. They have never asked Him to enable them to understand the truth of the redeeming atonment of Christ on the cross.
@@tmaria7209 Ha, you are funny, you seem to know nothing about the Catholic Church or our faith. May I remind you what Catholics believe?
I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the dead,
and life everlasting.Amen.
@@niakoch9390 Your beliefs are the same beliefs that Satan and his demons have. They can be with you at mass saying the creed with you. Satan can take communion with you and splashes about in the baptismal font every time a catholic convert or an infant is baptised. The only truth about the RCC is that is Stan's creation, reflecting his character in its evil history and its evil popes. You need to pray to God to lead you to the cross of Christ, to enable you to repent and be redeemed by Jesus' atonement, the ransom He paid fully for all those who come to Him in faith for their redemption in this life. You can't do that yourself and no pope or priest or sacrament or your RC beliefs or pious acts can do it. God the Father, the give of salvation, is the only one who can enable you to come to Christ if you ask with a repentant heart and a desire to know Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Redeemer and if you want to serve Him as the Lord of your life. If you prayed like that today, by this time next year your beliefs would be in accordance with God's truth. He does not want anyone to have blind faith in a religion without proof, that's why He gave the world the NT after giving the Jews the OT. He wants people to trust what He has revealed in His word. He wants people to put their faith in what they know to be God's true promises from the evidence which is His Testament.
Welcome home. I'm cradled catholic 55 years old. I love your enthusiasm. It gives me hope in the future of the Church

As a Catholic I received a great introduction to Protestant theology from this discussion.
I admire you both on your commmitment to the Catholic faith. Praise be to God on your example of being a good father to your children, good husband to your wife and leading your family to achieve Heaven.

WELCOME HOME.
BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
Watching from kenya.. welcome home!
The Lord has been calling me for a long time to come home. I did not know what that meant. I was a Baptist for more than 40 years. I eventually left due to doctrinal changes that were in conflict with the Bible. I am currently in RCIA. I was confirmed in April 3, 2021 as a Catholic. Your channel was suggested I just subscribed.
@ Generation X Mom, Congratulations on coming home! Continue to stay close to our Lord in Mass and the Sacraments. Find a ministry to share your God given talents. God is calling many people, as he called you. You can be a channel of God's grace for them to come home as you did.
That is so awesome for real!!
I also I'm a Catholic converter from protestantism....☦️✝️📿🙏
RCIA can sometimes leave something to be desired, you may want to pick up a Catechism of Pius X or a Baltimore catechism.

welcome Home
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is my world. I came from the exact same place. I grew up baptist, went to college and became reformed. Piper, Chandler were my guys. Married a catholic and converted two years ago. I’m still working through so much. It’s great to hear similar stories!!
I have a very similar story! Church hopping trying to find truth and everyone has their own interpretations. I prayed for truth and ended up joining Catholicism.
This was amazing to listen to. Thank you
beautiful story...God is calling so many people home. I just thought of something that made me giggle. He was a Southern Baptist now he's a Northern, Southern, Western, Eastern Catholic...We're everywhere!
Love from Madagascar. Thank you brother!
Amazing story. I hope you guys can come here to the Philippinee to like "counter-reform" my fellow Filipinos who were converted to Protestantism (Born Agian, SDA, Jehova's Witnesses, Mormonism, etc) by American missionaries.
Don't you have a lot of layman and priests that doing evangelizations in the Philippines? Or they just kinda lazy doing that, tend to feel celebrity complex? Check out your own parish, or the next...
Search for Shalom Catholic Community there! They are international missionaries
@@jackbauer7613 We do have but it would also be amazing if Filipinos realize that there are also American Catholic missionaries (esp former Protestants). Here, we equal Americans to Evangelical Protestantism, Mormonism and other American Protestant sects.
Ordinary Filipinos never encountered yet an American Catholic missionary. What we normally encounter here are Mormons who flatter the locals by speaking our native languages.
@@ProximaCentauri88 19th century USA was full of prideful men and women who in the roots of protestantism and individualism thought they knew better. What common with all of them is that they use a Catholic book, the bible even using the very same 27 New Testament books - out of some 300+ early Christian writings first decided as a canon by late 4th century Catholic bishops. These men were ALL Trinitarians. They ALL brought this book into Church, reading it at Mass where they presided.
(in the case of Joseph Smith and his 10+ different visions .. he had 40 wives; topped only by Brigham Young who had 65. Neither men were of God)
Awesome story! I can’t wait to listen to the second half of the conversation!
Well come home beautiful conversation story thank you for sharing
just amazing!
woo so great. nice to listening to both of you.God bless your ministry in sharing the grace of God. welcome home brother
Deo Gratias! Welcome home!
I’m Jew and my husband is protestant. I love the teachings of catholicism. I will probably never be Catholic but I do believe in “faith with works.” And there’s lots of good ethical teachings that everyone can benefit regardless of your upbringing. Also acknowledging the seven deadly sins and we should all strive to be a better person here on earth.
Thanks for sharing! Welcome home
AWESOME TESTIMONY ! 👍 . THANK YOU BOTH. GOD BLESS 🙏
So glad that Aaron mentioned Sam from LOTR, I thought throughout the whole video that looks like a young Sean Astin (who played Sam).

Hello. Thank you guys for this video and your great testimony. I am really interested in the podcast you were talking about and the book by Thomas Newman.. I’ve replayed it like hundred times but I can’t really understand what you are saying, I am not American. Sorry for question like this, but could you write down the titles for me, please? 😁 God bless you ❤️
Yes, the title of the book Aaron mentioned is
An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine by St. John Henry Newman

What I love about the trained baptists is they understand the bible
they understand the Bible...???? if they did, they would not be baptists....
Come, Holy Spirit, come teach us Faith, Hope and Love. Ps 98:1, Jn 16:20
Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.”

I pray you come to see the richness, vastness and beauty of the Church. Once you research and listen to REAL Catholics (not in name only) and listening to good teaching on our beliefs and how it's all tied to scripture, the New Covenant fulfilling the new. How it makes sense related to reason, history, tradition of the Apostles. You may know that the Bible wasn't what they used from the time of Christ and the Apostles, it was a process over a few centuries. The first canon was at the Council of Rome (382 A.D.). Canons were finalized at the Council of Trent (1546 A.D.) But, changed after the Protestant Revolt, in Protestant Bibles and others. So, not only a division of one church, like our Lord said, but now many as well as many different Bibles, where interpreted erroneously. Even the book of Psalm(s) are off by 1 chapter. Protestant 91 is 90 of the Catholic. The sacraments are all scriptural and even in major scenes of the Bible. The theology is so deep, interesting, and astounding! Best wishes on the journey to determine where God is leading you or where He is tryin to lead you. I do believe it's home, in the Catholic Church. Caveat: Make sure if you attend a Mass, it's one that is more traditional; not necessarily Traditional Latin Mass (TLM); many have fallen into modernism and false teachings. If priest faces away from the people and East, and you see people receive the Eucharist on the tongue or on their knees, or both, they are probably more versed in their Catholicism, but not necessarily so. Really depends on the priest what type of parish it is and what you'll experience. Unfortunately, many have been cheated of good seminary training. That's another story. Regardless, it is the One, True, Church. We are all sinners worthy of God's Mercy, and keep on moving toward Him, not being stagnant, but always striving to be holy, as God is holy.
Do you love Jesus??......Do you love His church??
Now roman catholic isnt said in mass anymore brother but it has changed to i beleave in one apostolic catholic church but yea originally was roman catholic
Those who become Catholics and those who stay in the church do so because they never ask God's opinion. They never go to God in prayer to ask Him whether the RCC really is what it claims to be. They never say this kind of prayer:
Almighty God, I believe that the Roman catholic church is the true church and that its religion is true, that it honours and glorifies You, that it honours Jesus Christ as Lord and honours the Holy Spirit as its guide in all matters of faith, religious practices and observances.
However, the the sake of my salvation and my desire to obey You, my God and Saviour through Jesus Christ Your Son, I need Your assurance that I am indeed living according to Your will, so I pray that if any of my beliefs are wrong, You will lead me to Your truth.
By Your saving grace, give me the faith I need for my salvation. Remove from my mind and heart all beliefs that do not come from You and do not honour or please You.
Enable me to understand the enormity of my sins and my need of true repentance so that I may become a new creature in Christ and His true follower, knowing and doing His will.
I need to fully understand the meaning and purpose of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross - what exactly did He accomplish and what did He finish if I have to go to purgatory to suffer for my sins when I die.
I make this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. Amen.
What makes you think we never say a prayer like that? As a Catholic, I often ask Jesus to guide my path, and help me follow him. If you have different theological views, that is no reason to judge other people's hearts. Self-righteousness is not the way of the Lord.
@@marykowalski2184 You have never asked God to lead you away from all religious beliefs and practices which are false and are an abomination to Him. You have never asked God to lead you to the Truth of His Word and you have never asked Him what is the meaning and purpose of the cross if you have to go to purgatory when you die. You have never asked God to give you the faith you need for your salvation.
God never leaves in or leads anyone to a religion which does not come from HIM. Try praying the way I did, asking God about the cross and purgatory, desiring an answer with all the sincerity of your heart you can put into such prayer and God will NOT leave you in the RCC after that. It might take several months or more than a year, but you will not remain in the RCC.
Christian truth and faith is not about a religion and doing piety. It's about knowing what God wants you to believe. The purpose of the Bible, which is a testament because it is the only evidence of God's truth, is so that people do NOT have BLIND FAITH in a religion which can't prove to you that it comes from Christ.
Pray the way I prayed and see where you will be in your spiritual life in a year or so.
@@tmaria7209 You say that the Bible is the only evidence of God's truth. I respectfully disagree. The Bible itself teaches differently. The Bible says that the Heavens declare the glory of God. ... Also, the Bible says that Jesus Christ is Truth. His life and resurrection are evidence of God's truth. .. Christians started calling themselves Catholics around the year 100. The word "Catholic" is Greek and means unity. The New Testament was written in Greek. Early Christians (Catholics) had unity (Catholicism) because they had leaders (Bishops). Catholic bishops are the ones who decided which letters (Epistles) and which Gospel accounts should be allowed into the New Testament. This occurred in the late 300's. So, Catholics were the first Bible Christians. But we are not Bible-alone Christians, because that is not biblical. Jesus did not write a Gospel account or a single Epistle. His life was His Epistle. When He ascended to heaven, he commissioned His Apostles to go and teach and baptize. He gave them authority. For almost 400 years, the only authority early Christians had was Catholic bishops, until the New Testament was put together into the "Canon.". It is impossible to know how to interpret the Bible without Church authority helping us. That is how and why Jesus established His Church on earth (to teach). He does not want His people to be confused. He gave us Church authority. The American mentality is to rebel against authority. But the attitude of "the Bible-alone and me" is not biblical. The Bible says not to lean on your own understanding. So, being Catholic is not blind faith. It is historical and Biblical. God wants us to ask questions and grow. And definitely pray!
@@marykowalski2184 Respectfully and humbly ask God to lead you away from all your religious beliefs and practices which do not come from Him and which He finds offensive. Tell Him you want Him to lead you to Jesus Christ. Jesus said no one knows the Son except the Father and those to whom the Father chooses to reveal Him. Ask God the Father to lead you to the cross of Christ and to enable you to understand everything about redemption you currently do not understand although you are sure you do. Do that and see what God will do when He answers this prayer.
@@tmaria7209 That´s exactly the point, Jesus did not want everyone to make up his own believe about what´s true. That´s why He founded the Catholic Church. He gave authority to the Church to keep his teachings.
