The Charleys down here in FL, is waaay better than what you got there. But Charleys are franchised owned, so it's really the owners who mess everything up.
Hey Daym, thanks for adding the tracks you play during the video. Theres been many times where I hear a banger I don't know and I love that I can go grab it now. Keep up the hustle.
That mall looks sad, as most of them do at this moment in time. As a child, the mall and the food courts were our favorite get away. Now most of em are filled with over priced kiosks. 😢
While I live in Ireland used to be in Queens the Mcdonalds in the Queens mall closed Buddy do you know how bad shit bad shit is going in a mall when a fecking mcdonalds is closing damn
I didn't realize malls are no longer as popping in the US as where I'm from. When I go to mall, its usually for a whole day of fun. But I didn't realize you can basically order anything online now especially in the US. I think a cool new series for you to try out is to go to malls in your state and find some underrated food spots in them.
I lived in LA for awhile. Its uh not known for the food. CA probably has the worst food scene in the entire country. So I can understand if you live in LA thinking Charlie's is good but man if you ever got to Philly or the northeast in general and get a really good well made cheesesteak, its going to blow your brain away. lol
@@NeutralGloomBot I recommend you go to a place called Philly's Best. It's at Downey and so far... It's the best Philly cheesesteak that I ate in LA. And it's the most authentic cheesesteak.
@@NeutralGloomBot I feel CA is just the jack of all trades of food. You can get anything imaginable but it's usually not as good as the states that specialize more towards a particular type of cuisine. It's all decent but not spectacular.
When they said small I guess they really meant the amount of Steam-Umm meat in the "Grinder". That place is like my social life - sad in EVERY respect.
From a guy who grew up in South Philly, I could not have said it better myself. And I have never ever seen or thought of toasting the bread. And the roll is extremely important . It makes the sandwich. We take it very seriously to the point of people getting shot. They need to be arrested for CRUILTY TO STANK SANDWHICH. LOVE your show.
I would have taken that back and asked for more meat and if they said no, I'd get a refund. That was borderline robbery serving you a combo with that for $14.00 with how much skimpy they were with the meat.
We had a Charlies in our Walmart, it was bad, it was only open for a few months and they closed. Don't know why but I would like to think its because it sucked! Bad food and bad service.
We have a Charley's in one of our Walmart's here in San Antonio. I will say every time I've been it's been decent. Hot food, fries could have been better.
I was at the mall at rockingham Park Salem NH and wanted a quick bit so I headed over to this Charley's spot. The bun was so wet and soggy I couldn't even lift it up cause of the greese and oil... and steak ums. I 💯 agree it takes just like that it was awful one bit, and I was like, "Oh no, son, stop offering this sandwich all together. This is a hard zero all day, and I never went to that spot again, just horrid just a waste of my money that they didn't deserve
Why on earth was there a pickle on the damn thing? I'm not from Philly but all our "Philly" Cheese Steaks here in MN are steak, onions, peppers and you can either get cheese or the wiz depending on location.
When I lived in Pittsburgh, I would go to Charley's every time I was in the mall. The cheese steaks were fantastic, and everything was fresh. Location definitely matters. Malls not being hot spots like they use to those establishments quality greatly reduced.
Lol being from Philly as well I agree I still say the best cheese steaks r from your mom and pop pizza places Steve's prince of steaks Jim's Pat's are all overrated and over priced
That review should of went from Pretty Epic! To Hiroshima, cause that review just blew that establishment to pieces my guy. Your a true wordsmith, absolutely 💯 lmao.
I'm not even to the part in the video of you trying the cheesesteak yet but I have to say, that thing looks as sad and depressing as the Mall and the Food Court.
When I worked at the Home Depot in Waterford . I would go to Charles in the Crystal mall once in a while. Though I didn't get down with the cheese stake I did like the Buffalo chicken sandwich with the loaded fries. I found them to be decent enough for the price.
locally in north salisbury marylands walmart is a Charlies Cheesesteak place. i gave them a 1 star. place was not busy. took 20 minutes to hand me my SMALL PLAIN CHEESESTEAK with salt & pepper. when i opened it there was almost no steak to be found, some cheese and no pepper in sight. after taking one bite i realised there wasnt any salt either. it was BLAND BLAND BLAND. for over $7 all they gave me was a roll with barley any cheesesteak flavor. i even included pics in my review.
I will say the Charley's that I have near my home, I've never actually had the food there since it looked lackluster but the lemonades they have have always been really good and that's mainly the only thing I ever get
Love your stuff man. Sucks to see Charley’s be one of your worst rated restaurants because we have one here in Canada where I live and my wife and I love the spot. This either means the food in Canada is really that bad or the food in the states is at a whole nother level. I believe it is both. Keep up the good work. Que the music!!!
Just discovered that there is now a joint serving up the "Original Philly Cheesesteak" ( In a city north-east of Toronto, Canada!...). Cheesesteak, perhaps but "original"...HELL NO. It might taste great but "Original"? I do wish that sort of "liberty" was not taken with food items and recipes that have become classics. I only wish I could try the "real deal" and compare it to this joint's product.
I so love that song "We on the way, we came to play!!! Young buck needs to be heard everywhere on real plah...for sure for sure! It could actually be an international hit! He needs real play...so Daym Drops, can you make that happen??? Cause the kid is fresh, and delicious!!!
The Charlie's Over By Me on the West Coast definitely never looked that sad. It's probably been a couple years since I've eaten there but I always remembered having a lot more meat than that where it was falling out with a lot of cheesy provolone. $14.00 for that sad joke of a sandwich is a complete rip-off.
I actually had them for the first time in the mall the other day. Personally i enjoyed the regular size cheesesteak. I got it with only onions and cheese and i enjoyed it. It was hot and had a good cheesepull. The fries were tasty too.
Lol! Incognegro cam! Classic! That cheesesteak looks absolutely nothing like one from my Charley's cheesesteaks in Abingdon Va on Cummings Street. The most obvious difference I see is that the one you went to is located in a mall ours is a stant alone building in a shopping center. Don't know if it does matter, but ours is always on point. Oh and technically it's a steak and cheese not a cheesesteak. Cheesesteaks have liquid cheese on them not melted cheese.
So yesterday he paid 15 bucks just for a sandwich... At a sit down restaurant. Today he paid 15 bucks for sandwich, fries and a drink... At what is basically a fastfood sandwich shop that doesn't even have a dinning room. ...and somehow he's disappointed that one was better than the other. 😂 This is why online food reviews are useless.
Damn I’ve never had one looking so flimsy. I’m in Florida every one I’ve been to especially the stand alone restaurants were always great. I’ve also had the OG Philis from genos and pats so I have something to compare it to.
I worked at one here in Rochester NY! Bad bad, dude! It was/is in East View Mall in Victor NY. They use similar meat to Steak'ems LOL. Never changed the oil. I tried to get them to, but didn't happen. The manager hated me for trying to clean up their act, but never happened. So I quit LOL. Gross. That was way before I became a machinist, as my screen name says. I got paid way more and didn't have to work in a dump like that.
Man, did they pick that meat up from the scraps on the grill? that "cheese steak" has permanent residence on struggle street. Out here making McDonalds gourmet.
Born in South Philadelphia It was very difficult to watch There was a Charlie’s in Clear Water beach So so so glad I didn’t go That was the poorest excuse for a cheese steak I have ever seen
Charley's chicken teriyaki is delicious with the loaded fries and blueberry lemonade lol never tried their phillys . I go to Penn station if I want a Philly.
Tell you what places if their popping out ought figure out to over night vacuum pack ingredients. Little caesars has their cheese filled cups stuffed with pepperoni little snacky boo are they any good. ??

that $14 was wasted straight out of the gate.
I know it's crying shame ain't it.
For $14 that looks sad.
Bro 4 real 4 real it’s a sin
He pretty much got a pickle and mayonnaise sandwich with a little sprinkling of steak just for looks.
Real talk.
Right!!!
I wouldn't even pay $4 for that tbh. Looked terrible.

Malls were poppin' in the 80s, but even a crowded mall couldn't fix that Philly 😅

So sad what had happened to America's mall scene now.
I ate Charley's here in LA. I'm not going to say it's the most authentic philly cheesesteak. But, it's solid... 4 stars to my eyes.

Always feels like mall food court employees have a gun to their head and are forced to give you less food than you pay for. Always skimpy...

No it aint bro
Yea no thats cap yes this one sucked and maybe alot of them suck
But not in the Queens mall in NYC that was amazing
