Iron Truck the soil and sand will mix eventually. Especially when I do tank maintenance by trying to clean the sand. To keep it separate or tidy. I just add new sand on top of the open spot or where there is soil showing.
Are there fish that could handle this type of shallow water? I would like to make a paludarium with shrimp, snails and fish in the water feature but can only afford to have about 4 gallons of water volume over a 4 inches of water depth area. Is this possible in your opinion?
@@nateadventure7691 I think this tank is far too small for Galaxy Rasboras. I have a few in my 5 gallon, but they will be moving shortly as they are so active! They're happy, and just had some fry, but I think for them to thrive they need space to show their natural behaviours.
Any update on this tank? I would love to see how it all grew
Like the pouring method!!
Awesome! Very well done mate!

Yes it’s possible. There are many nano (small) fish that can handle this type of shallow tank. Shrimps and Snails are perfect for it too.
I have some galaxy rasboras in this exact tank.
