Here are some foods that are often touted as HEALTHY, but are in fact incredibly high in sugar, fat and calories that can easily lead to overeating. If your goal is to lose weight and reduce calories and sugars, here are some foods you should avoid. I give you some healthful alternatives to eat instead!

I’ve been dieting my whole life practically since I was 14 now I’m 46 and decided to finally say no to dieting for good! I’m in recovery from restricting and binge eating and poor body image. I no longer do anything diet related and I’m feeling so free from food obsession. I get a lot of info on UA-cam from Elisa Oras of follow the intuition. I think you would find her interesting. I feel like we’re on a journey as woman and I’m grateful for how empowered we can be 💗
Dear Julia, your skin is looking radiant! As a previous sugar addict I can say that Inter Mittent Fasting in combination with 2 big meals(mostly low carb) is helping me sooooooo much! No need to snack, just drinking enough water and tea and a coffee in between and I am a happy camper. Love your dedication for healthy food and lifestyle!
I make my own "granola" bar with just oats, unsweetened almond milk, a drizzle of honey, a ton of blueberries and 1-2 tbsp of coconut oil for the whole tray if I think I need it. It's more of a baked oatmeal, but it stays together so you can eat it with your hand if you want to. I do more blueberries than oats and it's so yummy and because the oats swell up with the milk you get a larger serving size than you think you would. It doesn't get crunchy but I highly recommend it.
My recipe is 1.5 cups blueberries (basically just a good layer on the bottom of the pan), 1 cup of oats and mix that together on your pan. Melt 1-2 tbsp of coconut oil and 1-2 tbsp of honey and drizzle it over, and then top with 1-1.5 cups of almond milk (or milk of choice), you want it to cover everything else in the pan without too much extra. Then I bake it at 350 F for about half an hour until it sets up and absorbs all the liquid. You can add an egg too if you want it to set up firmer, but it's not necessary. Sometimes I'll smash up some nuts or add some protein powder if I'm going to have a strenuous morning (going for a hike for example) where I'll need the extra protein and fat.
I usually serve it with plain greek yogurt for a breakfast at work(maybe 1/4 of a cup) or just put it in a baggie to take with me on the go. it's super filling and I feel like it's a pretty balanced breakfast and it'll keep me full until lunch. The key for me is to use a lot of fruit in it. If I don't I will get hungry before lunch. It also feels like a treat because it feels like a soft and squishy granola bar.

This is such a great video. I eat low carb so these are right in line with everything I do usually. It's amazing how much sugar is in fruit and dried fruit. Sadly, I have to avoid one of my favorite fruits, pineapple but it's definitely worth it to continue on my health journey. I'm down 30lbs since the beginning of the year 😍

As a Type 1 Diabetic I had to start reading all labels and becoming aware of the carbs. I agree with what you recommend. I do like KIND granola bars, some of them only have 9 gr of carbs after subtracting the fiber
I've always thought... Who in his right mind thinks that processed food is good for loosing weight or becoming a healthier person? 🤔
great video, but don‘t forget the environmental damage you can cause. having fruits and berries that are totally not in season, it‘s really unsustainable. :)

I do the orange juice trick 1/4 of orange juice that I juice at home and I use the peals for different foods or to make tea. And then I add water some ice and you can also add "water with gas" (can't find the correct name)... Sparkling water... had to google it =D I don't eat cereals for 3-4 years now but my husband does. Dry fruit is my downfall, whatever fruit and nuts.

Avocados are low in sugar but really high on fat.Its healthy but watch out on the amount you guys use per day!
rmdebora this. I encourage people to count calories because you can also gain weight just by eating low sugar, “healthy” options like avocados and natural, unsweetened yogurt!

I use agave. and i never felt that it was giving me more weight in fact, you said that one has to reduced sugar true, but with honey agave and maple syrup you can measure it, and it works because i only use 5g of agave in my coffe and that's it. and i don't take it anymore, and it's the good concentration, in the label says that you have to reduce the measurement to sweet the things..... but one should get use to do not feel the sweet anymore of the sugar. i like my coffee to taste good..... it's bland... but still good.
