double taps and airdribbles i dont agree with. if we're talking about like diamond to like c2, airdribbles are going to be very useful. I don't think luke thought of the idea of faking the air dribble, where you basically do an air dribble, stop boosting to act like you ran out of boost, bait your opponent in, then start boosting again. For double taps, they're not that hard to learn and can be very useful in diamond and low champ
Redirects are one of the most useful and fun mechanics I can think of. They aren't that hard, either. Practice them, and you will be able to put the ball in the net from anywhere on the field after a pass. Not agree with luke at all on this one. Also, I can't believe he is actually considering DAR and Speedflips essential mechanics to get to GC. Both are almost worthless mechanics. I got to GC2, and I didn't even bother learning those two.

It’s something u have to bind. When using it u use your left stick to control where you go and how your car moves. Practice in freeplay by going in a circle around the field without hitting the wall
S tiers => Any movement and positionning mechanics A tiers => All ground shooting and Basic defense, basic dribbling/ball control on ground, kickoffs (Probably already included in S tiers with speedflips) B tiers => All aerial DIRECT shooting, including car roll (AKA not rolling for fun but making contact with the right part of the car as in tyres = slow, top of car = fast/powerfull), Clears and Dribbling with flicks C tiers => Anything that implies multiple air tap, reset, taking off from wall or ceiling.
No1 this will be tier list style, No2 its directed at you, No3 there will be gratuitous use of that cartoon karate chop sound fx with EVERY SINGLE ANIMATION I spam on screen.
You overrate speedflips MASSIVELY haha. Half of the things in the B tier, let alone A teir, will help you way more in games than speedflips. Speaking for high plat - low champ. Never used speedflips, never missed it, never lost against it,...just nah.
One thing that came to my mind after watching this video is how this might change across gametypes. My guess would be you've crafted this "tierlist" based around 3s gameplay yeah? Which makes sense, it's literally called "Standard" and it's what e-sport level play is on. I play more 2s with my buddy and solo queue 3s since we don't have a third. Which means I play more 2s. In my experience flicks are definitely A tier. If you're putting "Bounce Dribble" in S tier then flicks are the runner-up for a fairly similar groundplay mechanic. In 2s having good flicks can just outright score goals very easily. It instantly punishes any overcommit by the enemy team. It is at least a guaranteed win over the first challenger - and if you have good flick skills you can put it backboard to force the 2nd player out of net, or can pass it sideways for teammate to pick up or even shoot it. But in 3s? Yeah i can see it not being as good, it's still nice to have and belongs in B tier there. You can still get guaranteed past one player with it - but in 3s there's still both a challenger and a goalie remaining. So your flick will be challenged right away and probably won't force anyone out. Anyways just my thoughts on the matter, still really useful and interesting takes here and I appreciate the video, just wondering what kind of perspective you're coming at this from and if you think it might apply differently to different game modes!
So I'm in gold and a while back I learned air dribbles, and I'm kinda regretting it. But now that I just know how, should I completely forget about airdribbles or take advantage of situations when I can.
I NEED HELP! only my directional air rolls work I have left mapped to left bumper and right to right bumper… when I map regular air roll instead of directional when I click the mapped button the car does nothing… what is non directional air roll

What a time to be alive, thanks 🙏
double taps and airdribbles i dont agree with. if we're talking about like diamond to like c2, airdribbles are going to be very useful.
I have learned the speed flip since sliver
Really?🤔
What rank are you?
I have tried so damn hard... But I can't speedflip for my life. Is it possible for you to make a really easy to understand way to speedflip?
“I have never double tapped” meanwhile him showing a clip of him hitting a double tap…
do u think the tier list video u made with wayton, thanovic and the other guy(don't know his name) still holds up?
@Chris Kavanagh was that comm😂 damn i had no idea, sounds nothing like him
@Chris Kavanagh bro i went back to look, it was HK Boba, it wasnt comm, what are u talking about
I disagree with ignoring ceiling shots and double taps, if you get good at these it completely opens up your playing field and you can put your opponents in vulnerable situations simply because they’re hard to predict
Fr im not good at double taps yet snd theres so many chances where i can score and win a game just from a double tap but i cant
I’m p2 and I like can backward save like every time I get and uhm yeah I can also do some other stuff and another thing is I can’t rank up because my teammates are like really bad I should be p3 or d1 so yeah bye now
Hater gonna hate bro, thanks for all your time and advice, us average players really appreciate it 💯👍🏻
im honestly stuck. i want to control my car in the air but is honestly imposible. i was able to change air roll from square to l1 but i still cant control my car. i have boost on circle.
no musty?
This helps immensely, thank you
Could you make a video on how to use directional air roll, it would really help my out so I know how to use it and how to practice it. Thanks!
It’s something u have to bind. When using it u use your left stick to control where you go and how your car moves. Practice in freeplay by going in a circle around the field without hitting the wall
S tiers => Any movement and positionning mechanics
A tiers => All ground shooting and Basic defense, basic dribbling/ball control on ground, kickoffs (Probably already included in S tiers with speedflips)
B tiers => All aerial DIRECT shooting, including car roll (AKA not rolling for fun but making contact with the right part of the car as in tyres = slow, top of car = fast/powerfull), Clears and Dribbling with flicks
C tiers => Anything that implies multiple air tap, reset, taking off from wall or ceiling.
No1 this will be tier list style,
No2 its directed at you,
No3 there will be gratuitous use of that cartoon karate chop sound fx with EVERY SINGLE ANIMATION I spam on screen.
What a nice guy
So I'm in gold and a while back I learned air dribbles, and I'm kinda regretting it. But now that I just know how, should I completely forget about airdribbles or take advantage of situations when I can.
OMG LUKE UR LIST IS NOT JUST TRASH, THATS THE ENTIRE GARBAGE TRUCK OF A VIDEO 😂… jk, thanks for posting GREAT CONTEN🙏🏼🙏🏼
Yo Luke im at your discord and not finding that video you talk about at the end here.
:O
I NEED HELP! only my directional air rolls work I have left mapped to left bumper and right to right bumper… when I map regular air roll instead of directional when I click the mapped button the car does nothing… what is non directional air roll
i think its a good list. gonna practise a bunch of these and hopefully hit champ soon
bruh stop the cap about flip resets below gc im plat and my friend is diamond and we both do flip resets in real games
The competitiveness now in gold, platinum, and diamond is way different than it used be. Golds are playing like platinum. Platinum is playing like diamond diamond It's playing like champ. The game has been around for a long time, so everyone It's just better in every rank than it used to be.
I hate you. Not because you were wrong or right, just because I wanted to let you be right
Ps I do actually watch all of your videos and you’ve been killing it the past few months. Keep it up 👍🏼🎉
What plug in were u using for the backboard defense
I’m confused: how is ranking mechanics on a tier list telling me which mechanics I need to learn at my specific rank? That’s like making a video on how to make a pb&j sandwhich but instead it’s a video ranking different jam flavors
