Thanks for watching! P.S. To all the people angrily commenting: "shadow defense is good in champ!" "flip resets are good at SSL!" "dribbling is good at plat!" Yes, I agree. Shadow defense is very relevant in platinum spook. Can't count how many times that people have been scored on because their back is turned to the ball and have no aerial car control to save/ dont have the knowledge to drift tapping to save the ball.
I don't know if that's really shadow defense per se, that's more aerial/car control. Of course, it happens when your back is towards the ball, and that's also how you are when shadow defending, but when I see hear shadow defense it's more about knowing which position to take in order to shut down your opponent's offense. So it's not just about knowing that since you're backwards your controls are inverted, shadow defending is more about being aware of how your opponent is going to move so you can distance yourself or block his angle. Of course, this is just me arguing semantics. I just don't want people who are in plat who can defend those shots from the back to think "oooh I know how to shadow defend then"
Not practicing shadow defense doesn't mean you're not defending. He's just saying it shouldnt be a focus. It's not something you should hone in your skill on at platinum. Minimum, low quality defense is enough for platinum

This comment will be overlooked by lower ranked people, but this is it. Add in shooting to it because you need to be able to hit the ball in the net while in the correct position. If you’re under diamond, you just need to learn where to be on the field and the ball will literally just come to you.

Yo Luke nobody in the comments probably knows what I’m talking about but I saw that video with you in it and it was very surprising to see you in it and she didn’t even know you.
If you want to kind of cheese your way a little bit then learn ceiling shots early, ceiling shots are not difficult, every diamond player can do them with a couple of hours of practise. Drive up the wall, tap the ball, drive on the ceiling, aim it up whilst still on the ceiling just driving, jump, stick forward, jump. But the problem with ceiling shots is if you’re lazy like me then you’ll completely neglect actual ball control and you will get shitter for learning it
Lol I feel you especially when they hit you with unranked teams all the time. I get Plat and diamond season winners and got hit with a champ team yesterday that were still unranked.
And then the final final thing to train when you master everything is to play kbm so that when you launch your controller across the room you can at least finish the match
Im champ and i only learned a proper fast aerial yesterday and I’ve never used a wave dash yet I can dribble ball on my car very good i have really good ball control thats what got me into plat And im good at saving goals and defence
Got to diamond duos without even realising people were double jumping before their aerials, hence I was getting beat every time when I was single jumping😂as long as ur ok with the ball on the floor and have a good team mate for defence u can go quite far
New players, listen to this man! Learn these mechanics at these beginning levels. Sure it is possible to rank up without them, but it is really, really, not fun. I know this because I, myself, am a Diamond and I can't even dribble. Seriously. Every single person on the field I play against destroys me in mechanics, and it is sooooo frustrating. I am trying to learn mechanics but I am old and mechanics don't come easy to me. I am diamond only purely because I just got good at rotations and game sense. I just wish I had concentrated on mechanics first instead of positioning.
I feel like some of these skills should be put down some ranks, I used to watch musty and learned basic air control in silver, pinches in gold, most of diamond could be condensed into plat too
im gold and then i watched this video , im still gold but i know how to speed flip, double tap ,flick, air roll, shadow defense, im not that good with air dribbles but im getting into it and i once scored a flip reset thanks a lot for making this video it helped me out so much
Directional air roll is what's stopping me...i been in C1 for over a year now, and air roll is just impossible for me to practice and understand mid game...i don't use free play, and everything else in game you can sort of figure out just by playing matches
Ok but like I’m silver and I see people air dribbling almost every game, is anyone else having the same problem? I can’t rank up because I can only fast aerial and I can’t defend their goals
Thanks for watching!

Lol I feel you especially when they hit you with unranked teams all the time. I get Plat and diamond season winners and got hit with a champ team yesterday that were still unranked.
@@ValorantGuy208then keep up
Gold I pretty easy i started playing a few days ago and am moving though gold pretty easily.
I feel with you😢 2:44
And then the final final thing to train when you master everything is to play kbm so that when you launch your controller across the room you can at least finish the match
It is also very good to learn how to predict what players are gonna do in early ranks
I should use more often Preflips, its underrated and not many seen, like ceiling pinches in c2 to gc2 lobbys
Im champ and i only learned a proper fast aerial yesterday and I’ve never used a wave dash yet
I can dribble ball on my car very good i have really good ball control thats what got me into plat
And im good at saving goals and defence
Nah ur my favorite type of tm8 to have, always in position and good rotates, mechs will come
Ye, positioning and rotation > some sh*tty air dribbles that they will fail regardless

I think all the Plats and Champs already mastered the mechs for ssl but not the ones on the lower rank
Nice video man. But you forget the most difficult mechanic that is touch grass.
Man your Videos Are so high Quality, do u edit them By urself or do u have a editer ?
Im plat, can somewhat air dribble and othet basic mechanics like speed flips and things like that, those training packs are going to be so helpful
air roll shot were really helpful, thx
I wish the video was mad when I started in March 😭😭 gr8 video Luke
I learned the speed flip in bronze
Plats and Diamonds are speed flipping on kickoff now
I never thought coaching for gaming would be a real thing.
I was legit just playing rocket league and wanted to look at some videos to improve
Perfect
Love you spookluke!!!❤🔥🤩
Me against my-platinum opponent who flip reset full court on me (not even kidding😢)
Banger vid🔥
ngl i feel like everything in gc can apply to high champ(high c2-high c3) but do still agree with you on a general stand point
I feel like some of these skills should be put down some ranks, I used to watch musty and learned basic air control in silver, pinches in gold, most of diamond could be condensed into plat too
best tierlist
I never know what to think of these videos because im keyboard and mouse in diamond and have prioritized differently as a side effect of kbm
I’m currently c1 and honestly after watching this think I practice resets to much over like ceiling shots
im gold and then i watched this video , im still gold but i know how to speed flip, double tap ,flick, air roll, shadow defense, im not that good with air dribbles but im getting into it and i once scored a flip reset thanks a lot for making this video it helped me out so much
Directional air roll is what's stopping me...i been in C1 for over a year now, and air roll is just impossible for me to practice and understand mid game...i don't use free play, and everything else in game you can sort of figure out just by playing matches
your advice is the opposite of what ive seen in other SSL, like arial in plat.
Thank you for this😊
if you master all the ones up to and including diamond then you are already at GC
No way this guy is still making videos
Bro when I saw the ssl tier I realized that it’s all the mechs I already know how to do lmao
I’ve done all the things on gc that’s you listed but it’s just my tm8s can’t do much of it and I’m c2
for the plat mechanics i know all of them but thanks for the tips
I’m unbanked can airdribble, airoll, flick, double tap, and can mustyyy flick
Ok but like I’m silver and I see people air dribbling almost every game, is anyone else having the same problem? I can’t rank up because I can only fast aerial and I can’t defend their goals
